8:1Do not contend with the powerful, or you may fall into their hands.Streite nicht mit einem Mächtigen, damit du ihm nicht in die Hände fällst.Non litigare con un uomo potente per non cadere poi nelle sue mani.Za kukhala ndi nzeru zabwino Usalimbane naye munthu wamphamvu, kuwopa kuti ungagwe m'manja mwake.لا تخاصم المقتدر لئلا تقع في يديه
8:2Do not quarrel with the rich, in case their resources outweigh yours; for gold has ruined many, and has perverted the minds of kings.Kämpf nicht gegen einen Reichen an, sonst wirft er zu deinem Verderben sein Geld ins Gewicht. Schon viele hat das Geld übermütig gemacht, die Herzen der Großen hat es verführt.Non litigare con un uomo ricco, perché egli non t'opponga il peso del suo danaro, poiché l'oro ha corrotto molti e ha fatto deviare il cuore dei re.Usakangane naye munthu wolemera, mwina ngwolemera koposa iwe. 8:4Do not make fun of one who is ill-bred, or your ancestors may be insulted.Pflege keinen Umgang mit einem Toren; er wird die Weisen doch nur verachten.Non scherzare con l'ignorante, perché non siano disprezzati i tuoi antenati.Usamaseka naye munthu wopanda mkhalidwe, kuti angakunyozere makolo ako.لا تخاصم الفتيق اللسان ولا تجمع على ناره حطبا
8:5Do not reproach one who is turning away from sin; remember that we all deserve punishment.Beschäm keinen, der sich von der Sünde bekehrt hat; denk daran, dass wir alle schuldig sind.Non insultare un uomo convertito dal peccato, ricòrdati che siamo tutti degni di pena.Usadzudzule munthu wolapa tchimo lake, kumbukira kuti tonsefe timalakwa.لا تمازح الناقص الادب لئلا يهين اسلافك

8:7Do not rejoice over anyone's death; remember that we must all die.Freu dich nicht, wenn einer gestorben ist, bedenk: Wir alle werden sterben.Non gioire per la morte di qualcuno; ricòrdati che tutti moriremo.Usasekerere imfa ya mnzako, kumbukira kuti tonsefe tidzafa. Za kukumbukira zakaleلا تهن احدا في شيخوخته فان الذين يشيخون هم منا
8:8Do not slight the discourse of the sages, but busy yourself with their maxims; because from them you will learn discipline and how to serve princes.Verwirf die Rede der Weisen nicht, wirf dich vielmehr auf ihre Sinnsprüche! Denn dadurch wirst du Bildung lernen, um vor Fürsten stehen zu können.Non disdegnare i discorsi dei saggi, medita piuttosto le loro massime, perché da essi imparerai la dottrina e potrai essere a servizio dei grandi.Usanyoze malangizo a anthu anzeru, koma uzigwiritsa ntchito kwambiri miyambi yao. 8:9Do not ignore the discourse of the aged, for they themselves learned from their parents; from them you learn how to understand and to give an answer when the need arises.Verachte nicht die Überlieferung der Alten, die sie übernommen haben von ihren Vätern. Dann wirst du Einsicht lernen, um antworten zu können, sobald es notwendig ist.Non trascurare i discorsi dei vecchi, perché anch'essi hanno imparato dai loro padri; da essi imparerai l'accorgimento e come rispondere a tempo opportuno.Usanyoze nkhani za nkhalamba, poti nawonso adachita kuphunzira kwa makolo ao. 8:11Do not let the insolent bring you to your feet, or they may lie in ambush against your words.Weich einem Zuchtlosen nicht aus, sonst lauert er heimlich auf deine Reden.Non ritirarti dalla presenza del violento, perché egli non ponga un agguato contro di te.Usaputane naye munthu wachipongwe kuti angakutchere msampha pokutapa m'kamwa.لا تهمل كلام الشيوخ فانهم تعلموا من ابائهم
8:12Do not lend to one who is stronger than you; but if you do lend anything, count it as a loss.Borge keinem, der mächtiger ist als du. Hast du geborgt, so hast du verloren.Non imprestare a un uomo più forte di te; quello che gli hai prestato, consideralo come perduto.Usakongoze ndalama munthu wamkulu kuposa iwe. 8:13Do not give surety beyond your means; but if you give surety, be prepared to pay.Bürge für keinen, der höher steht als du. Hast du gebürgt, so musst du zahlen.Non garantire oltre la tua possibilità; se hai garantito, preòccupati di soddisfare.Usaperekere wina chikole mopitirira zomwe uli nazo. Ngati wapereka kale, ukhale wokonzeka kuti ulipire.لا توقد جمر الخاطئ لئلا تحترق بنار لهيبه
8:14Do not go to law against a judge, for the decision will favor him because of his standing.Rechte nicht mit einem Richter; denn er spricht Recht, wie es ihm beliebt.Non muovere causa a un giudice, perché giudicheranno in suo favore secondo il suo parere.Usamzenge mlandu munthu woweruza, chifukwa pogamula mlandu zidzakomera iyeyo.لا تنتصب في وجه الشاتم لئلا يترصد لفمك في الكمين
8:15Do not go traveling with the reckless, or they will be burdensome to you; for they will act as they please, and through their folly you will perish with them.Mit einem Gewalttätigen geh nicht des Wegs, damit du nicht schweres Unheil über dich bringst. Denn er läuft rücksichtslos weiter und du gehst zugrunde durch seinen Unverstand.Con un avventuriero non metterti in viaggio, per paura che ti diventi insopportabile; egli agirà secondo il suo capriccio e andrai con lui in rovina per la sua insipienza.Usayende ndi munthu wosimbwa kuti ungadzavutike naye. 8:16Do not pick a fight with the quick-tempered, and do not journey with them through lonely country, because bloodshed means nothing to them, and where no help is at hand, they will strike you down.Einem Jähzornigen biete nicht die Stirn und reite mit ihm nicht durch die Wüste! 8:17Do not consult with fools, for they cannot keep a secret.Führe kein vertrauliches Gespräch mit einem Toren; er kann dein Geheimnis nicht für sich behalten.Non consigliarti con lo stolto, perché non saprà mantenere un segreto.Chitsiru usachikambire zakukhosi, poti sichingathe kusunga chinsinsi.لا تحاكم القاضي لانه يحكم له بحسب رايه
8:18In the presence of strangers do nothing that is to be kept secret, for you do not know what they will divulge.Vor einem Fremden tu nichts, was geheim bleiben soll; du weißt nicht, wie er sich am Ende verhält.Davanti a uno straniero non fare nulla di riservato, perché non sai che cosa ne seguirà.Usachite zinthu zachinsinsi pamaso pa mlendo, poti sukudziŵa kuti adzachita nazo chiyani.لا تسر في الطريق مع المتقحم لئلا يجلب عليك وبالا فانه يسعى في هوى نفسه فتهلك انت بجهله
8:19Do not reveal your thoughts to anyone, or you may drive away your happiness.Öffne dein Herz nicht jedem Menschen und wirf das Glück nicht von dir!Con un uomo qualsiasi non aprire il tuo cuore ed egli non abbia a portar via il tuo bene.Usamauza munthu aliyense maganizo ako, ukatero udzataya mwai.لا تشاجر الغضوب ولا تسر معه في الخلاء فان الدم عنده كلا شيء فيصرعك حيث لا ناصر لك
