40:1Hard work was created for everyone, and a heavy yoke is laid on the children of Adam, from the day they come forth from their mother's womb until the day they return to the mother of all the living.Große Mühsal hat Gott den Menschen zugeteilt, ein schweres Joch ihnen auferlegt von dem Tag, an dem sie aus dem Schoß ihrer Mutter hervorgehen, bis zum Tag ihrer Rückkehr zur Mutter aller Lebenden:Una sorte penosa è disposta per ogni uomo, un giogo pesante grava sui figli di Adamo, dal giorno della loro nascita dal grembo materno al giorno del loro ritorno alla madre comune.Za mavuto a moyo wa munthu Munthu aliyense adalembedwa ntchito yakalavulagaga, ana a Adamu amasenza goli lolemera, kuyambira pamene adatuluka m'mimba mwa amai ao, mpaka pamene adzabwerere ku nthaka, mai wa onse.جهد عظيم خلق لكل انسان ونير ثقيل وضع على بني ادم من يوم خروجهم من اجواف امهاتهم الى يوم دفنهم في الارض ام الجميع
40:2Perplexities and fear of heart are theirs, and anxious thought of the day of their death.ihr Grübeln und die Angst ihres Herzens, der Gedanke an die Zukunft, an den Tag ihres Todes.Materia alle loro riflessioni e ansietà per il loro cuore offrono il pensiero di ciò che li attende e il giorno della fine.Chimene chimaika m'mitima mwao maganizo opweteka ndiponso mantha, ndi nkhaŵa yodikira tsiku la kufa kwao.فان عندهم انزعاج الافكار وروع القلب وقلق الانتظار ويوم الانقضاء
40:3From the one who sits on a splendid throne to the one who grovels in dust and ashes,Von dem, der auf hohem Thron sitzt, bis zu dem, der in Staub und Asche sitzt,Da chi siede su un trono glorioso fino al misero che giace sulla terra e sulla cenere;Ngakhale munthu akhale pa mpando waufumu ndi waulemerero, kapena akhale wosauka wongoti mbwerekete pa fumbi ndi pa phulusa,من الجالس على العرش في المجد الى المتضع على التراب والرماد
40:4from the one who wears purple and a crown to the one who is clothed in burlap,von dem, der Krone und Stirnreif trägt, bis zu dem, der ein Kleid aus Fellen trägt:da chi indossa porpora e corona fino a chi è ricoperto di panno grossolano, non c'è che sdegno, invidia, spavento, agitazione, paura della morte, contese e liti.ngakhale munthu akhale wovala zamlangali ndi nsangamutu yaufumu, kapena akhale wovala chiguduli,من اللابس السمنجوني والتاج الى الملتف بالكتان الخشن وزد على ذلك الغضب والغيرة والاضطراب والجزع وخوف الموت والحقد والخصومة
40:5there is anger and envy and trouble and unrest, and fear of death, and fury and strife. And when one rests upon his bed, his sleep at night confuses his mind.Zorn, Eifersucht, Sorge und Schrecken, Todesangst, Zank und Streit. Noch auf dem Bett zur Ruhezeit verwirrt der nächtliche Schlaf ihm den Sinn.Durante il riposo nel letto il sogno notturno turba le sue cognizioni.onsewo amangopeza ukali ndi nsanje, nkhaŵa ndi mavuto, kuwopa imfa, kuyambana ndiponso ndeu. 40:6He gets little or no rest; he struggles in his sleep as he did by day. He is troubled by the visions of his mind like one who has escaped from the battlefield.Bald wird er, nach einem Augenblick der Ruhe, von schrecklichen Träumen aufgejagt, bald in die Irre getrieben durch Vorspiegelungen seiner Seele, wie ein Flüchtling, der dem Verfolger entrinnt;Per un poco, un istante, riposa; quindi nel sonno, come in un giorno di guardia, è sconvolto dai fantasmi del suo cuore, come chi è scampato da una battaglia.Mwina angousa pang'ono, mwina osausa konse, ndipo amavutika kwambiri kutuloko, monga momwe amachitira ali maso. 40:8To all creatures, human and animal, but to sinners seven times more,Hinzu kommt über alles Lebende, vom Menschen bis zum Vieh, und über die Sünder siebenfach:E' sorte di ogni essere vivente, dall'uomo alla bestia, ma per i peccatori sette volte tanto:Zolengedwa zonse, anthu kapena nyama, anthu ochimwa ndiye kasanunkaŵiri,هذا حال كل ذي جسد من الانسان الى البهيمة وللخطاة من ذلك سبعة اضعاف
40:9come death and bloodshed and strife and sword, calamities and famine and ruin and plague.Pest und Blut, Fieber und Schwert, Untergang und Verderben, Hunger und Tod.morte, sangue, contese, spada, disgrazie, fame, calamità, flagelli.zimapeza imfa, magazi, kumenyana, lupanga, masoka, njala, mazunzo ndi mliri.الموت والدم والخصومة والسيف والنوائب والجوع والسحق والسوط
40:10All these were created for the wicked, and on their account the flood came.Für den Frevler ist das Übel erschaffen und seinetwegen kommt die Vernichtung.Questi mali sono stati creati per i malvagi, per loro causa si ebbe anche il diluvio.Zonsezi zidalengedwa chifukwa cha anthu ochimwa, ndipo chigumula chija chidachitika chifukwa cha iwowo.كل ذلك خلق للاثماء ولاجلهم اتى الطوفان

40:13The wealth of the unjust will dry up like a river, and crash like a loud clap of thunder in a storm.Der Reichtum des Frevlers ist wie ein reißender Bach, wie ein mächtiger Fluss beim Gewitterregen.Le ricchezze degli ingiusti si seccheranno come un torrente, come un grande tuono rimbomba via durante la pioggia.Chuma cha anthu oipa chidzaphwa ngati mtsinje, chidzangozimirira ngati mphezi yogunda mwamphamvu nthaŵi yamvula.اموال الظالمين تجف كالسيل وتدوي كالرعد الشديد عند المطر
40:14As a generous person has cause to rejoice, so lawbreakers will utterly fail.Schwillt er an, dann werden Felsen bewegt, doch plötzlich versiegt er für immer.Come l'ingiusto aprendo le mani si rallegrerà, così i trasgressori cadranno in rovina.Munthu wachifundo adzapeza kusangalala, koma anthu osamvera Malamulo adzaonongeka.يفرح الظالم عند بسط يديه لكن المعتدين يضمحلون في الانقضاء
40:15The children of the ungodly put out few branches; they are unhealthy roots on sheer rock.Der Schössling des Gewalttätigen treibt keinen Spross; denn die Wurzel des Ruchlosen liegt auf einem Felsenriff,La stirpe degli empi non aumenterà i suoi rami, le radici impure saranno sopra una pietra dura.Anthu osapembedza Mulungu sadzakhala ndi adzukulu ambiri, ali ngati mitengo yozika mizu yopanda mphamvu pa mwala.اعقاب المنافقين لا ياتون بفروع كثيرة ولا الاصول النجسة التي على الصخر الصلب
40:16The reeds by any water or river bank are plucked up before any grass;wie Riedgras am Bachrand, das schneller als jedes Gras verdorrt.Il giunco su ogni corso d'acqua e sugli argini di un fiume sarà tagliato prima di ogni altra erba.Bango lomera m'mbali mwa mtsinje, adzalizula asanazule udzu wina.الخضر الذي على كل ماء وشط نهر يقلع قبل كل عشب
40:17but kindness is like a garden of blessings, and almsgiving endures forever.Liebe aber wird in Ewigkeit nicht ausgetilgt, Barmherzigkeit besteht für immer.La bontà è come un giardino di benedizioni, la misericordia dura sempre.Kuchita zachifundo ndi ngati munda wodalitsidwa, kupatsa mwaufulu nchinthu chokhala nthaŵi zonse.النعمة كجنة بركات والرحمة تستمر الى الابد
40:18Wealth and wages make life sweet, but better than either is finding a treasure.Überfluss und Verdienst machen das Leben angenehm, doch mehr als beide, einen Schatz zu finden.La vita di chi basta a se stesso e del lavoratore sarà dolce, ma più ancora lo sarà per chi trova un tesoro.Amapeza bwino munthu amene ali pa ntchito ndiponso munthu amene amadziimira payekha, koma wopeza chuma amakondwera koposa aŵiriwo.حياة العامل القنوع تحلو لكن الذي يجد كنزا هو فوق كليهما
40:19Children and the building of a city establish one's name, but better than either is the one who finds wisdom. Cattle and orchards make one prosperous; but a blameless wife is accounted better than either.Nachkommenschaft und Städtebau geben dem Namen Bestand, doch mehr als beide, Weisheit zu finden. Viehzucht und Ackerbau lassen den Leib gedeihen, doch mehr als beide eine treue Frau.I figli e la fondazione di una città assicurano un nome, ma più ancora sarà stimata una donna senza macchia.Munthu akakhala ndi ana namanga mzinda, amatchuka, komabe kukhala ndi mkazi wabwino nkwabwino koposa.النسل وابتناء مدينة يخلدان الاسم لكن المراة التي لا عيب فيها تحسب فوق كليهما
40:20Wine and music gladden the heart, but the love of friends is better than either.Wein und Bier erfreuen das Herz, doch mehr als beide die Freundesliebe.Vino e musica rallegrano il cuore, ma più ancora lo rallegra l'amore della sapienza.Vinyo ndi zoimbaimba zimasangalatsa mtima, koma kukonda nzeru ndiye chinthu chopambana zonsezo.الخمر والغناء يسران القلب لكن حب الحكمة فوق كليهما
40:21The flute and the harp make sweet melody, but a pleasant voice is better than either.Flöte und Harfe verschönern das Lied, doch mehr als beide eine reine Stimme.Il flauto e l'arpa rendono piacevole il canto, ma più ancora di essi una voce soave.Zitoliro ndi azeze zimakometsa nyimbo, koma liwu lokongola loimba ndi pakamwa limapambana zonsezi.المزمار والعود يطيبان اللحن لكن اللسان العذب فوق كليهما
40:22The eye desires grace and beauty, but the green shoots of grain more than either.Anmut und Schönheit entzücken das Auge, doch mehr als beide die Blumen des Feldes.L'occhio desidera grazia e bellezza, ma più ancora di esse il verde dei campi.Maso amakhumbira maonekedwe abwino ndi okongola, koma mmera wobiriŵira wam'minda umaposa zonsezi.البهاء والجمال تشتهيهما عينك لكن خضر المزرعة فوق كليهما
40:23A friend or companion is always welcome, but a sensible wife is better than either.Freund und Gefährte leiten zur rechten Zeit, doch mehr als beide eine verständige Frau.Il compagno e l'amico si incontrano a tempo opportuno, ma più ancora di essi moglie e marito.Kukumana ndi bwenzi kapena mnzako nchokondwetsa, koma mkazi ndi mwamuna wake akakumana, nchokondwetsa koposa.الصديق والصاحب لهما لقاء وفاق لكن المراة مع رجلها فوق كليهما
40:24Kindred and helpers are for a time of trouble, but almsgiving rescues better than either.Bruder und Helfer nützen in der Zeit der Not, doch mehr als beide eine rettende Liebesgabe.I fratelli e un aiuto servono nell'afflizione, ma più ancora salverà la carità.Achibale ndi ogwirizana nawo ali bwino pa nthaŵi yamavuto, koma kupereka zachifundo kumapulumutsa kopambana.الاخوة والعون لساعة الضيق لكن نصرة الرحمة فوق كليهما
40:25Gold and silver make one stand firm, but good counsel is esteemed more than either.Gold und Silber stützen den Fuß, doch mehr als beide ein guter Rat.Oro e argento rendono sicuro il piede, ma ancora di più si apprezza un consiglio.Golide ndi siliva zimalimbitsa munthu, koma malangizo abwino ndiye chinthu chopambana zonsezo.الذهب والفضة يثبتان القدم لكن المشورة تفضل على كليهما
40:26Riches and strength build up confidence, but the fear of the Lord is better than either. There is no want in the fear of the Lord, and with it there is no need to seek for help.Reichtum und Macht erheben das Herz, doch mehr als beide die Gottesfurcht. Hat man Gottesfurcht, so gibt es keine Not, neben ihr braucht man keine Stütze zu suchen;Ricchezze e potenza sollevano il cuore, ma più ancora di esse il timore del Signore. 40:27The fear of the Lord is like a garden of blessing, and covers a person better than any glory.die Gottesfurcht ist wie ein gesegnetes Paradies, über seine ganze Pracht (breitet sich) ihr schirmendes Dach.Il timore del Signore è come un giardino di benedizioni; la sua protezione vale più di qualsiasi altra gloria.Kuwopa Ambuye kuli ngati munda wodalitsidwa, kumateteza munthu kupambana mbiri yabwino kwabasi.ليس في مخافة الرب افتقار ولا يحتاج صاحبها الى نصرة
40:28My child, do not lead the life of a beggar; it is better to die than to beg.Mein Sohn, lebe nicht vom Betteln! Besser sterben, als aufdringlich sein.Figlio, non vivere da mendicante. E' meglio morire che mendicare.Mwana wanga, usakhale munthu wopemphapempha, ndi bwino kufa kupambana kupemphapempha.مخافة الرب كجنة بركة وقد البست مجدا يفوق كل مجد
40:29When one looks to the table of another, one's way of life cannot be considered a life. One loses self-respect with another person's food, but one who is intelligent and well instructed guards against that.Wer nach dem Tisch anderer schauen muss, dessen Leben ist nicht als Leben zu rechnen. Geschenkte Leckerbissen beschmutzen die Kehle, dem verständigen Mann bereiten sie Magenschmerzen.Un uomo che guarda alla tavola altrui ha una vita che non si può chiamar tale.
