| 5:1 | Do not rely on your wealth, or say, I have enough. | ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲭⲁϩⲑⲏⲕ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓⲭⲣⲏⲙⲁ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲣⲱϣⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲱⲛϧ | Verlass dich nicht auf deinen Reichtum und sag nicht: Ich kann es mir leisten. | Non confidare nelle tue ricchezze e non dire: «Questo mi basta». | لا تعتد باموالك ولا تقل لي بها كفاية | ||||||||||
| 5:2 | Do not follow your inclination and strength in pursuing the desires of your heart. | ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲟⲩⲁϩⲕ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉⲕϫⲟⲙ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉⲕⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧ | Folg nicht deinem Herzen und deinen Augen, um nach dem Begehren deiner Seele zu leben. | Non seguire il tuo istinto e la tua forza, assecondando le passioni del tuo cuore. | لا تتبع هواك ولا قوتك لتسير في شهوات قلبك | ||||||||||
| 5:3 | Do not say, Who can have power over me? for the Lord will surely punish you. | Sag nicht: Wer vermag etwas gegen meine Macht? Denn der Herr rächt die Verfolgten. | Non dire: «Chi mi dominerà?», perché il Signore senza dubbio farà giustizia. | و لا تقل من يتسلط على فان الرب ينتقم منك انتقاما | |||||||||||
| 5:4 | Do not say, I sinned, yet what has happened to me? for the Lord is slow to anger. | Sag nicht: Ich habe gesündigt, doch was ist mir geschehen? Denn der Herr hat viel Geduld. | Non dire: «Ho peccato, e che cosa mi è successo?», perché il Signore è paziente. | لا تقل قد خطئت فاي سوء اصابني فان الرب طويل الاناة | |||||||||||
| 5:5 | Do not be so confident of forgiveness that you add sin to sin. | Verlass dich nicht auf die Vergebung, füge nicht Sünde an Sünde, | Non esser troppo sicuro del perdono tanto da aggiungere peccato a peccato. | لا تكن بلا خوف من قبل الخطيئة المغفورة لتزيد خطيئة على خطيئة | |||||||||||
| 5:6 | Do not say, His mercy is great, he will forgive the multitude of my sins, for both mercy and wrath are with him, and his anger will rest on sinners. | indem du sagst: Seine Barmherzigkeit ist groß, er wird mir viele Sünden verzeihen. Denn Erbarmen ist bei ihm, aber auch Zorn, auf den Frevlern ruht sein Grimm. | Non dire: «La sua misericordia è grande; mi perdonerà i molti peccati», perché presso di lui ci sono misericordia e ira, il suo sdegno si riverserà sui peccatori. | و لا تقل رحمته عظيمة فيغفر كثرة خطاياي | |||||||||||
| 5:7 | Do not delay to turn back to the Lord, and do not postpone it from day to day; for suddenly the wrath of the Lord will come upon you, and at the time of punishment you will perish. | Zögere nicht, dich zu ihm zu bekehren, verschieb es nicht Tag um Tag! Denn sein Zorn bricht plötzlich aus, zur Zeit der Vergeltung wirst du dahingerafft. | Non aspettare a convertirti al Signore e non rimandare di giorno in giorno, poiché improvvisa scoppierà l'ira del Signore e al tempo del castigo sarai annientato. | فان عنده الرحمة والغضب وسخطه يحل على الخطاة | |||||||||||
| 5:8 | Do not depend on dishonest wealth, for it will not benefit you on the day of calamity. | Vertrau nicht auf trügerische Schätze; sie nützen nichts am Tag des Zorns. | Non confidare in ricchezze ingiuste, perché non ti gioveranno nel giorno della sventura. | لا تؤخر التوبة الى الرب ولا تتباطا من يوم الى يوم | |||||||||||
| 5:9 | Do not winnow in every wind, or follow every path. | Worfle nicht bei jedem Wind und geh nicht auf jedem Pfad! | Non ventilare il grano a qualsiasi vento e non camminare su qualsiasi sentiero. | فان غضب الرب ينزل بغتة ويستاصل في يوم الانتقام | |||||||||||
| 5:10 | Stand firm for what you know, and let your speech be consistent. | Bleib fest bei deiner Überzeugung, eindeutig sei deine Rede. | Sii costante nel tuo sentimento, e unica sia la tua parola. | لا تعتد باموال الظلم فانها لا تنفعك شيئا في يوم الانتقام | |||||||||||

| 5:12 | If you know what to say, answer your neighbor; but if not, put your hand over your mouth. | Nur wenn du imstande bist, antworte deinem Mitmenschen, wenn nicht, leg die Hand auf den Mund! | Se conosci una cosa, rispondi al tuo prossimo; altrimenti mettiti la mano sulla bocca. | بل كن ثابتا في فهمك وليكن كلامك واحدا | |||||||||||

| 5:14 | Do not be called double-tongued and do not lay traps with your tongue; for shame comes to the thief, and severe condemnation to the double-tongued. | Lass dich nicht doppelzüngig nennen und verleumde niemand mit deinen Worten!Denn für den Dieb ist Schande bestimmt, schlimme Schmach für den Doppelzüngigen. | Non meritare il titolo di calunniatore e non tendere insidie con la lingua, poiché la vergogna è per il ladro e una condanna severa per l'uomo falso. | ان كان لك فهم فجاوب قريبك والا فاجعل يدك على فمك | |||||||||||
| 5:15 | In great and small matters cause no harm, | Im Kleinen wie im Großen handle nicht unrecht, sei nicht statt eines Freundes ein Feind! | Non far male né molto né poco, e da amico non divenire nemico, | في الكلام كرامة وهوان ولسان الانسان تهلكته |
