31:2	Wakeful anxiety prevents slumber, and a severe illness carries off sleep.	Die Sorge um den Lebensunterhalt verscheucht den Schlummer, mehr als schwere Krankheit vertreibt sie ihn.	L'affanno della veglia tien lontano l'assopirsi, come una grave malattia bandisce il sonno.	سهر الاهتمام يحرم الوسن والمرض الشديد يذهبه النوم
31:3	The rich person toils to amass a fortune, and when he rests he fills himself with his dainties.	Der Reiche müht sich ab, um ein Vermögen zu sammeln; ist er zur Ruhe gekommen, frönt er dem Genuss.	Un ricco fatica nell'accumulare ricchezze e se smette, si ingolfa nei piaceri.	يجد الغني في جمع الاموال وفي راحته يشبع من اللذات
31:4	The poor person toils to make a meager living, and if ever he rests he becomes needy.	Der Arme plagt sich und verbraucht seine Kraft; wenn er ruht, muss er hungern.	Un povero fatica nelle privazioni della vita e se smette, cade nell'indigenza.	يجد الفقير في حاجة العيش وفي راحته يمسي معوزا
31:5	One who loves gold will not be justified; one who pursues money will be led astray by it.	Wer das Gold liebt, bleibt nicht ungestraft, wer dem Geld nachjagt, versündigt sich.	Chi ama l'oro non sarà esente da colpa, chi insegue il denaro per esso peccherà.	من احب الذهب لا يزكى ومن اتبع الفساد يشبع منه
31:6	Many have come to ruin because of gold, and their destruction has met them face to face.	Viele sind es, die sich vom Gold fesseln lassen, die ihr Vertrauen auf Perlen setzen.	Molti sono andati in rovina a causa dell'oro, il loro disastro era davanti a loro.	كثيرون سقطوا لاجل الذهب فاضحى هلاكهم امام وجوههم
31:7	It is a stumbling block to those who are avid for it, and every fool will be taken captive by it.	Eine Falle ist das für den Toren, jeder Einfältige lässt sich damit fangen.	E' una trappola per quanti ne sono entusiasti, ogni insensato vi resta preso.	الذهب عود عثار للذين يذبحون له وكل جاهل يصطاد به
31:8	Blessed is the rich person who is found blameless, and who does not go after gold.	Wohl dem Mann, der schuldlos befunden wird, der sich nicht aus Habgier versündigt.	Beato il ricco, che si trova senza macchia e che non corre dietro all'oro.	طوبى للغني الذي وجد بغير عيب ولم يسع وراء الذهب
31:9	Who is he, that we may praise him? For he has done wonders among his people.	Wo gibt es den? Wir wollen ihn preisen. Denn Staunenswertes hat er in seinem Volk vollbracht.	Chi è costui? noi lo proclameremo beato: difatti egli ha compiuto meraviglie in mezzo al suo popolo.	من هو فنغبطه لانه صنع عجائب في شعبه
31:10	Who has been tested by it and been found perfect? Let it be for him a ground for boasting. Who has had the power to transgress and did not transgress, and to do evil and did not do it?	Wo gibt es einen, der sich in solcher Prüfung bewährt hat? Das wird ihm zur Ehre gereichen. Wer konnte sündigen und sündigte nicht, Böses tun, tat es aber nicht?	Chi ha subìto la prova, risultando perfetto? Sarà un titolo di gloria per lui. Chi, potendo trasgredire, non ha trasgredito, e potendo compiere il male, non lo ha fatto?	من الذي امتحن به فوجد كاملا به فليفتخر من الذي قدر ان يتعدى فلم يتعد وان يصنع الشر ولم يصنع
31:11	His prosperity will be established, and the assembly will proclaim his acts of charity.	Darum ist sein Glück von Dauer, die Gemeinde verkündet sein Lob.	Si consolideranno i suoi beni e l'assemblea celebrerà le sue beneficenze.	ستكون خيراته ثابتة وتخبر الجماعة بصدقاته
31:12	Are you seated at the table of the great? Do not be greedy at it, and do not say, How much food there is here!	Mein Sohn, sitzt du am Tisch eines Großen, dann reiß den Rachen nicht auf!	Hai davanti una tavola sontuosa? Non spalancare verso di essa la tua bocca e non dire: «Che abbondanza qua sopra».	اذا جلست على مائدة حافلة فلا تفتح لها حنجرتك
31:13	Remember that a greedy eye is a bad thing. What has been created more greedy than the eye? Therefore it sheds tears for any reason.	Sag nicht: Es ist reichlich da. Denk daran, wie hässlich ein gieriges Auge ist. Schlimmeres als das Auge hat Gott nicht erschaffen; darum muss es bei jeder Gelegenheit weinen.	Ricòrdati che l'occhio cattivo è un male. Che cosa è stato creato peggiore dell'occhio? Per questo esso lacrima in ogni circostanza.	و لا تقل ما اكثر ما عليها
31:14	Do not reach out your hand for everything you see, and do not crowd your neighbor at the dish.	Wohin schon ein anderer blickt, dahin streck deine Hand nicht aus, sonst triffst du mit ihm in der Schüssel zusammen.	Dove guarda l'ospite, non stendere la mano; non intingere nel piatto insieme con lui.	اذكر ان العين الشريرة سوء عظيم
31:15	Judge your neighbor's feelings by your own, and in every matter be thoughtful.	Sorge für einen Nächsten wie für dich selbst und denk an all das, was auch dir zuwider ist.	Giudica le esigenze del prossimo dalle tue; e su ogni cosa rifletti.	اي شيء خلق اسوا من العين فلذلك هي تدمع من كل شخص
31:16	Eat what is set before you like a well brought-up person, and do not chew greedily, or you will give offense.	Iss wie ein gesitteter Mann, was vor dir liegt, und sei nicht gierig, sonst verabscheut man dich.	Mangia da uomo ciò che ti è posto innanzi; non masticare con voracità per non renderti odioso.	حيثما لحظت فلا تمدد اليه يدك
31:17	Be the first to stop, as befits good manners, and do not be insatiable, or you will give offense.	Hör als Erster auf, wie es der Anstand verlangt, und schlürfe nicht, sonst erregst du Anstoß.	Sii il primo a smettere per educazione, non essere ingordo per non incorrere nel disprezzo.	و لا تزاحمها في الصحفة
31:18	If you are seated among many persons, do not help yourself before they do.	Auch wenn du unter vielen sitzt, streck die Hand nicht vor dem Nachbarn aus!	Se siedi tra molti invitati, non essere il primo a stendere la mano.	افهم ما عند القريب مما عندك وتامل في كل امر
31:19	How ample a little is for a well-disciplined person! He does not breathe heavily when in bed.	Hat ein wohlerzogener Mensch nicht mit wenig genug? So wird es ihm in seinem Bett nicht übel.	Quanto poco è sufficiente per un uomo educato, una volta a letto non si sente soffocato.	كل مما وضع امامك كما ياكل الانسان ولا تكن لهما لئلا تكره
31:20	Healthy sleep depends on moderate eating; he rises early, and feels fit. The distress of sleeplessness and of nausea and colic are with the glutton.	Schmerz, Schlaflosigkeit und Qual und Magendrücken hat der törichte Mensch. Gesunden Schlaf hat einer, der den Magen nicht überlädt; steht er am Morgen auf, fühlt er sich wohl.	Sonno salubre con uno stomaco ben regolato, al mattino si alza e il suo spirito è libero. Travaglio di insonnia, coliche e vomiti accompagnano l'uomo ingordo.	و كن اول من امسك مراعاة للادب ولا تتضلع لئلا ينكر عليك
31:21	If you are overstuffed with food, get up to vomit, and you will have relief.	Hast du dich dennoch von Leckerbissen verführen lassen, steh auf, erbrich sie und du hast Ruhe.	Se sei stato forzato a eccedere nei cibi, àlzati, và a vomitare e sarai sollevato.	و اذا اتكات بين كثيرين فلا تمدد يدك قبلهم
31:22	Listen to me, my child, and do not disregard me, and in the end you will appreciate my words. In everything you do be moderate, and no sickness will overtake you.	Höre, mein Sohn, und verachte mich nicht und du wirst schließlich meine Worte begreifen. Bei all deinem Tun sei bescheiden, so wird dich kein Schaden treffen.	Ascoltami, figlio, e non disprezzarmi, alla fine troverai vere le mie parole. In tutte le azioni sii moderato e nessuna malattia ti coglierà.	ما اقل ما يكتفي به الانسان المتادب ومثل هذا لا تاخذه الكظة على فراشه
31:23	People bless the one who is liberal with food, and their testimony to his generosity is trustworthy.	Wer bei Tisch anständig ist, wird gelobt, sein guter Ruf steht fest.	Molte labbra loderanno chi è splendido nei banchetti, e vera è la testimonianza della sua munificenza.	السهاد والهيضة والمغص للرجل الشره
31:24	The city complains of the one who is stingy with food, and their testimony to his stinginess is accurate.	Wer sich bei Tisch schlecht benimmt, wird öffentlich beschimpft, sein schlechter Ruf steht fest.	La città mormora di chi è tirchio nei banchetti; ed esatta è la testimonianza della sua avarizia.	رقاد الصحة لقنوع الجوف يقوم باكرا وهو مالك نفسه
31:25	Do not try to prove your strength by wine-drinking, for wine has destroyed many.	Auch beim Wein spiel nicht den starken Mann! Schon viele hat der Rebensaft zu Fall gebracht.	Non fare il forte con il vino, perché ha mandato molti in rovina.	و اذا اكرهت على الاكل فاعتزل من بين الجماعة فتستريح
31:26	As the furnace tests the work of the smith, so wine tests hearts when the insolent quarrel.	Wie der Ofen das Werk des Schmiedes prüft, so ist der Wein eine Probe für die Zuchtlosen.	La fornace prova il metallo nella tempera, così il vino i cuori in una sfida di arroganti.	اسمع لي يا بني ولا تستخف بي واخيرا تختبر اقوالي
31:27	Wine is very life to human beings if taken in moderation. What is life to one who is without wine? It has been created to make people happy.	Wie ein Lebenswasser ist der Wein für den Menschen, wenn er ihn mäßig trinkt. Was ist das für ein Leben, wenn man keinen Wein hat, der doch von Anfang an zur Freude geschaffen wurde?	Il vino è come la vita per gli uomini, purché tu lo beva con misura. Che vita è quella di chi non ha vino? Questo fu creato per la gioia degli uomini.	في جميع اعمالك كن نشيطا فلا يلحق بك سقم
31:28	Wine drunk at the proper time and in moderation is rejoicing of heart and gladness of soul.	Frohsinn, Wonne und Lust bringt Wein, zur rechten Zeit und genügsam getrunken.	Allegria del cuore e gioia dell'anima è il vino bevuto a tempo e a misura.	من سخا بالطعام تباركه الشفاه ويشهد بكرمه شهادة صدق
31:29	Wine drunk to excess leads to bitterness of spirit, to quarrels and stumbling.	Kopfweh, Hohn und Schimpf bringt Wein, getrunken in Erregung und Zorn.	Amarezza dell'anima è il vino bevuto in quantità, con eccitazione e per sfida.	من شح بالطعام تتذمر عليه المدينة ويشهد بلؤمه شهادة يقين
31:30	Drunkenness increases the anger of a fool to his own hurt, reducing his strength and adding wounds.	Zu viel Wein ist eine Falle für den Toren, er schwächt die Kraft und schlägt viele Wunden.	L'ubriachezza accresce l'ira dello stolto a sua rovina, ne diminuisce le forze e gli procura ferite.	لا تكن ذا باس تجاه الخمر فان الخمر اهلكت كثيرين
31:31	Do not reprove your neighbor at a banquet of wine, and do not despise him in his merrymaking; speak no word of reproach to him, and do not distress him by making demands of him.	Beim Weingelage nörgle nicht am Nachbarn herum, verspotte ihn nicht, wenn er heiter ist. Sag zu ihm kein schmähendes Wort und streite mit ihm nicht vor den Leuten!	Durante un banchetto non rimproverare il vicino, non deriderlo nella sua letizia. Non dirgli parola di rimprovero e non tormentarlo col chiedergli ciò che ti deve.	الاتون يمتحن الحديد الممهى والخمر تمتحن قلوب المتجبرين في القتال
