2:1	For they reasoned unsoundly, saying to themselves, Short and sorrowful is our life, and there is no remedy when a life comes to its end, and no one has been known to return from Hades.	Sie tauschen ihre verkehrten Gedanken aus und sagen: Kurz und traurig ist unser Leben; für das Ende des Menschen gibt es keine Arznei und man kennt keinen, der aus der Welt des Todes befreit.	Dicono fra loro sragionando: «La nostra vita è breve e triste; non c'è rimedio, quando l'uomo muore, e non si conosce nessuno che liberi dagli inferi.	فانهم بزيغ افكارهم قالوا في انفسهم ان حياتنا قصيرة شقية وليس لممات الانسان من دواء ولم يعلم قط ان احدا رجع من الجحيم
2:2	For we were born by mere chance, and hereafter we shall be as though we had never been, for the breath in our nostrils is smoke, and reason is a spark kindled by the beating of our hearts;	Durch Zufall sind wir geworden und danach werden wir sein, als wären wir nie gewesen. Der Atem in unserer Nase ist Rauch und das Denken ist ein Funke, der vom Schlag des Herzens entfacht wird;	Siamo nati per caso e dopo saremo come se non fossimo stati. E' un fumo il soffio delle nostre narici, il pensiero è una scintilla nel palpito del nostro cuore.	انا ولدنا اتفاقا وسنكون من بعد كانا لم نكن قط لان النسمة في انافنا دخان والنطق شرارة من حركة قلوبنا
2:3	when it is extinguished, the body will turn to ashes, and the spirit will dissolve like empty air.	verlöscht er, dann zerfällt der Leib zu Asche und der Geist verweht wie dünne Luft.	Una volta spentasi questa, il corpo diventerà cenere e lo spirito si dissiperà come aria leggera.	فاذا انطفات عاد الجسم رمادا وانحل الروح كنسيم رقيق وزالت حياتنا كاثر غمامة واضمحلت مثل ضباب يسوقه شعاع الشمس ويسقط بحرها
2:4	Our name will be forgotten in time, and no one will remember our works; our life will pass away like the traces of a cloud, and be scattered like mist that is chased by the rays of the sun and overcome by its heat.	Unser Name wird bald vergessen, niemand denkt mehr an unsere Taten. Unser Leben geht vorüber wie die Spur einer Wolke und löst sich auf wie ein Nebel, der von den Strahlen der Sonne verscheucht und von ihrer Wärme zu Boden gedrückt wird.	Il nostro nome sarà dimenticato con il tempo e nessuno si ricorderà delle nostre opere. La nostra vita passerà come le tracce di una nube, si disperderà come nebbia scacciata dai raggi del sole e disciolta dal calore.	و بعد حين ينسى اسمنا ولا يذكر احد اعمالنا
2:5	For our allotted time is the passing of a shadow, and there is no return from our death, because it is sealed up and no one turns back.	Unsere Zeit geht vorüber wie ein Schatten, unser Ende wiederholt sich nicht; es ist versiegelt und keiner kommt zurück.	La nostra esistenza è il passare di un'ombra e non c'è ritorno alla nostra morte, poiché il sigillo è posto e nessuno torna indietro.	انما حياتنا ظل يمضي ولا مرجع لنا بعد الموت لانه يختم علينا فلا يعود احد
2:6	Come, therefore, let us enjoy the good things that exist, and make use of the creation to the full as in youth.	Auf, lasst uns die Güter des Lebens genießen und die Schöpfung auskosten, wie es der Jugend zusteht.	Su, godiamoci i beni presenti, facciamo uso delle creature con ardore giovanile!	فتعالوا نتمتع بالطيبات الحاضرة ونبتدر منافع الوجود ما دمنا في الشبيبة
2:7	Let us take our fill of costly wine and perfumes, and let no flower of spring pass us by.	Erlesener Wein und Salböl sollen uns reichlich fließen, keine Blume des Frühlings darf uns entgehen.	Inebriamoci di vino squisito e di profumi, non lasciamoci sfuggire il fiore della primavera,	و نترو من الخمر الفاخرة ونتضمخ بالادهان ولا تفتنا زهرة الاوان
2:8	Let us crown ourselves with rosebuds before they wither.	Bekränzen wir uns mit Rosen, ehe sie verwelken;	coroniamoci di boccioli di rose prima che avvizziscano;	و نتكلل بالورد قبل ذبوله ولا يكن مرج الا تمر لنا فيه لذة
2:9	Let none of us fail to share in our revelry; everywhere let us leave signs of enjoyment, because this is our portion, and this our lot.	keine Wiese bleibe unberührt von unserem ausgelassenen Treiben. Überall wollen wir Zeichen der Fröhlichkeit zurücklassen; das ist unser Anteil, das fällt uns zu.	nessuno di noi manchi alla nostra intemperanza. Lasciamo dovunque i segni della nostra gioia perché questo ci spetta, questa è la nostra parte.	و لا يكن فينا من لا يشترك في لذاتنا ولنترك في كل مكان اثار الفرح فان هذا حظنا ونصيبنا
2:10	Let us oppress the righteous poor man; let us not spare the widow or regard the gray hairs of the aged.	Lasst uns den Gerechten unterdrücken, der in Armut lebt, die Witwe nicht schonen und das graue Haar des betagten Greises nicht scheuen!	Spadroneggiamo sul giusto povero, non risparmiamo le vedove, nessun riguardo per la canizie ricca d'anni del vecchio.	لنجر على الفقير الصديق ولا نشفق على الارملة ولا نهب شيبة الشيخ الكثير الايام
2:11	But let our might be our law of right, for what is weak proves itself to be useless.	Unsere Stärke soll bestimmen, was Gerechtigkeit ist; denn das Schwache erweist sich als unnütz.	La nostra forza sia regola della giustizia, perché la debolezza risulta inutile.	و لتكن قوتنا هي شريعة العدل فانه من الثابت ان الضعف لا يغني شيئا
2:12	Let us lie in wait for the righteous man, because he is inconvenient to us and opposes our actions; he reproaches us for sins against the law, and accuses us of sins against our training.	Lasst uns dem Gerechten auflauern! Er ist uns unbequem und steht unserem Tun im Weg. Er wirft uns Vergehen gegen das Gesetz vor und beschuldigt uns des Verrats an unserer Erziehung.	Tendiamo insidie al giusto, perché ci è di imbarazzo ed è contrario alle nostre azioni; ci rimprovera le trasgressioni della legge e ci rinfaccia le mancanze contro l'educazione da noi ricevuta.	و لنكمن للصديق فانه ثقيل علينا يقاوم اعمالنا ويقرعنا على مخالفتنا للناموس ويفضح ذنوب سيرتنا
2:13	He professes to have knowledge of God, and calls himself a child of the Lord.	Er rühmt sich, die Erkenntnis Gottes zu besitzen, und nennt sich einen Knecht des Herrn.	Proclama di possedere la conoscenza di Dio e si dichiara figlio del Signore.	يزعم ان عنده علم الله ويسمي نفسه ابن الرب
2:14	He became to us a reproof of our thoughts;	Er ist unserer Gesinnung ein lebendiger Vorwurf, schon sein Anblick ist uns lästig;	E' diventato per noi una condanna dei nostri sentimenti; ci è insopportabile solo al vederlo,	و قد صار لنا عذولا حتى على افكارنا
2:15	the very sight of him is a burden to us, because his manner of life is unlike that of others, and his ways are strange.	denn er führt ein Leben, das dem der andern nicht gleicht, und seine Wege sind grundverschieden.	perché la sua vita è diversa da quella degli altri, e del tutto diverse sono le sue strade.	بل منظره ثقيل علينا لان سيرته تخالف سيرة الناس وسبله تباين سبلهم
2:16	We are considered by him as something base, and he avoids our ways as unclean; he calls the last end of the righteous happy, and boasts that God is his father.	Als falsche Münze gelten wir ihm; von unseren Wegen hält er sich fern wie von Unrat. Das Ende der Gerechten preist er glücklich und prahlt, Gott sei sein Vater.	Moneta falsa siam da lui considerati, schiva le nostre abitudini come immondezze. Proclama beata la fine dei giusti e si vanta di aver Dio per padre.	قد حسبنا كزيوف فهو يجانب طرقنا مجانبة الرجس ويغبط موت الصديقين ويتباهى بان الله ابوه
2:17	Let us see if his words are true, and let us test what will happen at the end of his life;	Wir wollen sehen, ob seine Worte wahr sind, und prüfen, wie es mit ihm ausgeht.	Vediamo se le sue parole sono vere; proviamo ciò che gli accadrà alla fine.	فلننظر هل اقواله حق ولنختبر كيف تكون عاقبته
2:18	for if the righteous man is God's child, he will help him, and will deliver him from the hand of his adversaries.	Ist der Gerechte wirklich Sohn Gottes, dann nimmt sich Gott seiner an und entreißt ihn der Hand seiner Gegner.	Se il giusto è figlio di Dio, egli l'assisterà, e lo libererà dalle mani dei suoi avversari.	فانه ان كان الصديق ابن الله فهو ينصره وينقذه من ايدي مقاوميه
2:19	Let us test him with insult and torture, so that we may find out how gentle he is, and make trial of his forbearance.	Roh und grausam wollen wir mit ihm verfahren, um seine Sanftmut kennen zu lernen, seine Geduld zu erproben.	Mettiamolo alla prova con insulti e tormenti, per conoscere la mitezza del suo carattere e saggiare la sua rassegnazione.	فلنمتحنه بالشتم والعذاب حتى نعلم حلمه ونختبر صبره
2:20	Let us condemn him to a shameful death, for, according to what he says, he will be protected.	Zu einem ehrlosen Tod wollen wir ihn verurteilen; er behauptet ja, es werde ihm Hilfe gewährt.	Condanniamolo a una morte infame, perché secondo le sue parole il soccorso gli verrà».	و لنقض عليه باقبح ميتة فانه سيفتقد كما يزعم
2:21	Thus they reasoned, but they were led astray, for their wickedness blinded them,	So denken sie, aber sie irren sich; denn ihre Schlechtigkeit macht sie blind.	La pensano così, ma si sbagliano; la loro malizia li ha accecati.	هذا ما ارتاوه فضلوا لان شرهم اعماهم
2:22	and they did not know the secret purposes of God, nor hoped for the wages of holiness, nor discerned the prize for blameless souls;	Sie verstehen von Gottes Geheimnissen nichts, sie hoffen nicht auf Lohn für die Frömmigkeit und erwarten keine Auszeichnung für untadelige Seelen.	Non conoscono i segreti di Dio; non sperano salario per la santità né credono alla ricompensa delle anime pure.	فلم يدركوا اسرار الله ولم يرجوا جزاء القداسة ولم يعتبروا ثواب النفوس الطاهرة
2:23	for God created us for incorruption, and made us in the image of his own eternity,	Gott hat den Menschen zur Unvergänglichkeit erschaffen und ihn zum Bild seines eigenen Wesens gemacht.	Sì, Dio ha creato l'uomo per l'immortalità; lo fece a immagine della propria natura.	فان الله خلق الانسان خالدا وصنعه على صورة ذاته
2:24	but through the devil's envy death entered the world, and those who belong to his company experience it.	Doch durch den Neid des Teufels kam der Tod in die Welt und ihn erfahren alle, die ihm angehören.	Ma la morte è entrata nel mondo per invidia del diavolo; e ne fanno esperienza coloro che gli appartengono.	لكن بحسد ابليس دخل الموت الى العالم
