14:1	Again, one preparing to sail and about to voyage over raging waves calls upon a piece of wood more fragile than the ship that carries him. 14:2	For it was desire for gain that planned that vessel, and wisdom was the artisan who built it;	Das Fahrzeug hat der Erwerbstrieb ersonnen und die Weisheit eines Künstlers hergestellt.	Questa, infatti, fu inventata dal desiderio di guadagni e fu costruita da una saggezza artigiana;	لان المركب اخترعه حب الكسب وصنعته الحكمة المهندسة
14:3	but it is your providence, O Father, that steers its course, because you have given it a path in the sea, and a safe way through the waves,	Deine Vorsehung, Vater, steuert es; denn du hast auch im Meer einen Weg gebahnt und in den Wogen einen sicheren Pfad.	ma la tua provvidenza, o Padre, la guida perché tu hai predisposto una strada anche nel mare, un sentiero sicuro anche fra le onde,	لكن عنايتك ايها الاب هي التي تدبره لانك انت الذي فتحت في البحر طريقا وفي الامواج مسلكا امنا
14:4	showing that you can save from every danger, so that even a person who lacks skill may put to sea.	Damit zeigst du, dass du imstande bist, aus jeder Lage zu retten, so dass auch jemand, der keine Erfahrung hat, ein Schiff besteigen kann.	mostrando che puoi salvare da tutto, sì che uno possa imbarcarsi anche senza esperienza.	و بينت انك قادر ان تخلص من كل خطر ولو ركب البحر من يجهل صناعته
14:5	It is your will that works of your wisdom should not be without effect; therefore people trust their lives even to the smallest piece of wood, and passing through the billows on a raft they come safely to land.	Du willst, dass die Werke deiner Weisheit nicht ungenutzt bleiben. Darum vertrauen Menschen ihr Leben sogar einem winzigen Holz an und fahren wohlbehalten auf einem Floß durch die Brandung.	Tu non vuoi che le opere della tua sapienza siano inutili; per questo gli uomini affidano le loro vite anche a un minuscolo legno e, attraversando i flutti con una zattera, scampano.	و انت تحب ان لا تكون اعمال حكمتك باطلة فلذلك يودع الناس انفسهم خشبا صغيرا ويقطعون اللجة في سفينة ويخلصون
14:6	For even in the beginning, when arrogant giants were perishing, the hope of the world took refuge on a raft, and guided by your hand left to the world the seed of a new generation.	So hat auch in der Urzeit beim Untergang der übermütigen Riesen die Hoffnung der Welt sich auf ein Floß geflüchtet und, durch deine Hand gesteuert, der Welt den Samen eines neuen Geschlechtes hinterlassen.	Anche in principio, mentre perivano giganti superbi, la speranza del mondo, rifugiatasi in una barca, lasciò al mondo la semenza di nuove generazioni, grazie alla tua mano che la guidava.	و في البدء ايضا حين هلك الجبابرة المتكبرون التجا رجاء العالم الى سفينة وارشدته يديك فابقى للدهر ذرية تتوالد
14:7	For blessed is the wood by which righteousness comes.	Denn Segen ruht auf dem Holz, durch das Gerechtigkeit geschieht.	E' benedetto il legno con cui si compie un'opera giusta,	فالخشب الذي به يحصل البر هو مبارك
14:8	But the idol made with hands is accursed, and so is the one who made it- he for having made it, and the perishable thing because it was named a god.	Fluch hingegen trifft das von Händen geformte Holz und seinen Bildner, ihn, weil er es bearbeitet hat, jenes, weil es Gott genannt wurde, obwohl es vergänglich ist.	ma maledetto l'idolo opera di mani e chi lo ha fatto; questi perché lo ha lavorato, quello perché, corruttibile, è detto dio.	اما الخشب المصنوع صنما فملعون هو وصانعه اما هذا فلانه عمله واما ذاك فلانه مع كونه فاسدا سمي الها
14:9	For equally hateful to God are the ungodly and their ungodliness;	Denn Gott sind in gleicher Weise Frevler wie Frevel verhasst;	Perché sono ugualmente in odio a Dio l'empio e la sua empietà;	فان الله يبغض المنافق ونفاقه على السواء
14:10	for what was done will be punished together with the one who did it.	mit dem Bildner wird sein Werk der Strafe verfallen.	l'opera e l'artefice saranno ugualmente puniti.	فيصيب العقاب المصنوع والصانع
14:11	Therefore there will be a visitation also upon the heathen idols, because, though part of what God created, they became an abomination, snares for human souls and a trap for the feet of the foolish.	Darum kommt auch über die Götzenbilder der Völker das Gericht, weil sie in Gottes Schöpfung zum Gräuel geworden sind, zum Anstoß für die Seelen der Menschen und zur Schlinge für die Füße der Toren.	Perciò ci sarà un castigo anche per gli idoli dei pagani, perché fra le creature di Dio son divenuti un abominio, e scandalo per le anime degli uomini, laccio per i piedi degli stolti.	لذلك ستفتقد اصنام الامم ايضا لانها صارت في خلق الله رجسا ومعثرة لنفوس الناس وفخا لاقدام الجهال
14:12	For the idea of making idols was the beginning of fornication, and the invention of them was the corruption of life;	Mit dem Gedanken an Götzenbilder beginnt der Abfall und ihre Erfindung führt zur Sittenverderbnis.	L'invenzione degli idoli fu l'inizio della prostituzione, la loro scoperta portò la corruzione nella vita.	لان اختراع الاصنام هو اصل الفسق ووجدانها فساد الحياة
14:13	for they did not exist from the beginning, nor will they last forever.	Weder waren sie von Anfang an da, noch werden sie ewig bleiben.	Essi non esistevano al principio né mai esisteranno.	و هي لم تكن في البدء وليست تدوم الى الابد
14:14	For through human vanity they entered the world, and therefore their speedy end has been planned.	Durch die eitle Ruhmsucht der Menschen sind sie in die Welt gekommen; darum ist ihnen auch ein jähes Ende zugedacht.	Entrarono nel mondo per la vanità dell'uomo, per questo è stata decretata per loro una rapida fine.	لانها انما دخلت العالم بحب الناس للمجد الفارغ ولذلك قد عزم على الغائها عن قريب
14:15	For a father, consumed with grief at an untimely bereavement, made an image of his child, who had been suddenly taken from him; he now honored as a god what was once a dead human being, and handed on to his dependents secret rites and initiations.	Bedrückt durch allzu frühe Trauer ließ ein Vater von seinem Kind, das gar schnell hinweggerafft wurde, ein Bildnis machen; so ehrte er einen toten Menschen als Gott und führte bei seinen Leuten geheime Kulte und festliche Bräuche ein.	Un padre, consumato da un lutto prematuro, ordinò un'immagine di quel suo figlio così presto rapito, e onorò come un dio chi poco prima era solo un defunto ordinò ai suoi dipendenti riti misterici e di iniziazione.	و ذلك ان والدا قد فجع بثكل معجل فصنع تمثالا لابنه الذي خطف سريعا وجعل يعبد ذلك الانسان الميت بمنزلة اله ورسم للذين تحت يده شعائر وذبائح
14:16	Then the ungodly custom, grown strong with time, was kept as a law, and at the command of monarchs carved images were worshiped.	Im Lauf der Zeit verfestigte sich die frevelhafte Sitte und wurde schließlich als Gesetz befolgt;	Poi l'empia usanza, rafforzatasi con il tempo, fu osservata come una legge.	ثم على ممر الزمان تاصلت تلك العادة الكفرية فحفظت كشريعة وباوامر الملوك عبدت المنحوتات
14:17	When people could not honor monarchs in their presence, since they lived at a distance, they imagined their appearance far away, and made a visible image of the king whom they honored, so that by their zeal they might flatter the absent one as though pre	die Standbilder erhielten auf Anordnung der Herrscher göttliche Verehrung. Konnten die Menschen einen König nicht unmittelbar ehren, weil er weit weg wohnte, dann vergegenwärtigten sie den Fernen; sie machten von dem verehrten König ein Bildnis, das allen sichtbar war, um dem Abwesenden, als ob er gegenwärtig wäre, mit Eifer zu huldigen.	Le statue si adoravano anche per ordine dei sovrani: i sudditi, non potendo onorarli di persona a distanza, riprodotte con arte le sembianze lontane, fecero un'immagine visibile del re venerato, per adulare con zelo l'assente, quasi fosse presente.	و الذين لم يستطع الناس اكرامهم بمحضرهم لبعد مقامهم صوروا هيئاتهم الغائبة وجعلوا صورة الملك المكرم نصب العيون حرصا على تملقه في الغيبة كانه حاضر
14:18	Then the ambition of the artisan impelled even those who did not know the king to intensify their worship.	Der Ehrgeiz des Künstlers führte dazu, dass auch jene, die den König gar nicht kannten, ihm göttliche Verehrung erwiesen.	All'estensione del culto anche presso quanti non lo conoscevano, spinse l'ambizione dell'artista.	ثم ان حب الصناع للمباهاة كان داعية للجاهلين الى المبالغة في هذه العبادة
14:19	For he, perhaps wishing to please his ruler, skillfully forced the likeness to take more beautiful form,	Wohl um dem Herrscher zu gefallen, bot er seine ganze Kunst auf, um ihn schöner darzustellen, als er war.	Questi infatti, desideroso di piacere al potente, si sforzò con l'arte di renderne più bella l'immagine;	فانهم رغبة في ارضاء الامر قد افرغوا وسعهم في الصناعة لاخراج الصورة على غاية الكمال
14:20	and the multitude, attracted by the charm of his work, now regarded as an object of worship the one whom shortly before they had honored as a human being.	Von der Anmut des Bildes hingerissen, betete die Menge den, der noch kurz zuvor nur als Mensch geehrt wurde, jetzt wie einen Gott an.	il popolo, attratto dalla leggiadria dell'opera, considerò oggetto di culto colui che poco prima onorava come uomo.	فاستميل الجمهور ببهجة ذلك المصنوع حتى ان الذي كانوا قبل قليل يكرمونه كانسان عدوه الها
14:21	And this became a hidden trap for humankind, because people, in bondage to misfortune or to royal authority, bestowed on objects of stone or wood the name that ought not to be shared.	Der Welt ist dies zum Verhängnis geworden: Die Menschen haben, unter dem Druck von Unglück oder Herrschermacht, Stein und Holz den Namen beigelegt, der mit niemand geteilt werden kann.	Ciò divenne un'insidia ai viventi, perché gli uomini, vittime della disgrazia o della tirannide, imposero a pietre o a legni un nome incomunicabile.	و بهذا كان اقتناص الخلق فان رزيئة بعض الناس او اقتسار الملوك استعبدهم حتى جعلوا على الحجر والخشب الاسم الذي لا يشرك فيه احد
14:22	Then it was not enough for them to err about the knowledge of God, but though living in great strife due to ignorance, they call such great evils peace.	Als ob es nicht genug wäre, in der Erkenntnis Gottes zu irren, nennen sie in dem heftigen Zwiespalt, den die Unwissenheit in ihr Leben bringt, so große Übel auch noch Frieden.	Poi non bastò loro sbagliare circa la conoscenza di Dio; essi, pur vivendo in una grande guerra d'ignoranza, danno a sì grandi mali il nome di pace.	ثم لم يكتفوا بضلالهم في معرفة الله لكنهم غاصوا في حرب الجهل الشديدة وهم يسمون مثل هذه الشرور سلاما
14:23	For whether they kill children in their initiations, or celebrate secret mysteries, or hold frenzied revels with strange customs,	Bei kindermörderischen Festbräuchen, heimlichen Kulten oder wilden Gelagen mit fremdartigen Sitten	Celebrando iniziazioni infanticide o misteri segreti, o banchetti orgiastici di strani riti	فانهم يمارسون ذبائح من بنيهم وشعائر خفية ومادب جنون على اساليب اخر
14:24	they no longer keep either their lives or their marriages pure, but they either treacherously kill one another, or grieve one another by adultery,	halten sie weder Leben noch Ehe rein, sondern einer tötet heimtückisch den andern oder beleidigt ihn durch Ehebruch.	non conservano più pure né vita né nozze e uno uccide l'altro a tradimento o l'affligge con l'adulterio.	لا يرعون حسن السيرة ولا طهارة الزواج فيقتل الرجل صاحبه بالاغتيال ويمضه بالفاحشة
14:25	and all is a raging riot of blood and murder, theft and deceit, corruption, faithlessness, tumult, perjury,	Alles ist ein wirres Gemisch von Blut und Mord, Diebstahl und Betrug, Verdorbenheit, Untreue, Aufruhr und Meineid;	Tutto è una grande confusione: sangue e omicidio, furto e inganno, corruzione, slealtà, tumulto, spergiuro;	شر متفاقم في كل موضع الدم والقتل والسرقة والمكر والفساد والخيانة والفتنة والحنث وقلق الابرار
14:26	confusion over what is good, forgetfulness of favors, defiling of souls, sexual perversion, disorder in marriages, adultery, and debauchery.	es herrscht Umkehrung der Werte, undankbare Vergesslichkeit, Befleckung der Seelen, widernatürliche Unzucht, Zerrüttung der Ehen, Ehebruch und Zügellosigkeit.	confusione dei buoni, ingratitudine per i favori, corruzione di anime, perversione sessuale, disordini matrimoniali, adulterio e dissolutezza.	و كفران النعمة وتدنس النفوس والتباس المواليد وتشوش الزواج والفسق والعهر
14:27	For the worship of idols not to be named is the beginning and cause and end of every evil.	Die Verehrung der namenlosen Götzenbilder ist aller Übel Anfang, Ursache und Höhepunkt.	L'adorazione di idoli senza nome è principio, causa e fine di ogni male.	لان عبادة الاصنام المكروهة هي علة كل شر وابتداؤه وغايته
14:28	For their worshipers either rave in exultation, or prophesy lies, or live unrighteously, or readily commit perjury;	Sie rasen im Freudentaumel, weissagen Lügen, leben in Ungerechtigkeit oder schwören leichthin einen Meineid.	Gli idolatri infatti o delirano nelle orge o sentenziano oracoli falsi o vivono da iniqui o spergiurano con facilità.	فانهم اذا فرحوا جنوا او تنباوا كذبوا او عاملوا ظلموا او حالفوا اسرعوا الى الحنث
14:29	for because they trust in lifeless idols they swear wicked oaths and expect to suffer no harm.	Im Vertrauen auf leblose Götzen fürchten sie nicht, dass ihre Meineide ihnen schaden könnten.	Ponendo fiducia in idoli inanimati non si aspettano un castigo per avere giurato il falso.	و لتوكلهم على اصنام لا ارواح له لا يتوقعون اذا اقسموا بالزور ان ينالهم الخسران
14:30	But just penalties will overtake them on two counts: because they thought wrongly about God in devoting themselves to idols, and because in deceit they swore unrighteously through contempt for holiness.	Jedoch für beides wird sie die gerechte Strafe treffen: dass sie sich von Gott eine verkehrte Vorstellung machten, indem sie Götzenbilder verehrten, und dass sie unter Missachtung der Heiligkeit des Eides hinterlistig und ungerecht schworen.	Ma, per l'uno e per l'altro motivo, li raggiungerà la giustizia, perché concepirono un'idea falsa di Dio, rivolgendosi agli idoli, e perché spergiurarono con frode, disprezzando la santità.	فهناك امران يستحقون بهما حلول اعقاب سوء اعتقادهم في الله اذ اتبعوا الاصنام وقسمهم بالظلم والمكر اذا ستخفوا بالقداسة
14:31	For it is not the power of the things by which people swear, but the just penalty for those who sin, that always pursues the transgression of the unrighteous.	Es ist nie die Macht derer, bei denen sie schworen, sondern immer die den Sündern gebührende Strafe, die die Vergehen der Frevler verfolgt.	Infatti non la potenza di coloro per i quali si giura, ma il castigo dovuto ai peccatori persegue sempre la trasgressione degli ingiusti.	لان معصية الظالمين انما يتعقبها القضاء على الخطاة لا قدرة المقسم بهم
