8:2	and that they were very strong. 8:3	and what they had done in the land of Spain to get control of the silver and gold mines there,	ebenso von ihren Taten in Spanien: Dort hatten sie die Silber- und Goldbergwerke erobert	Aveva saputo quanto avevano compiuto nella Spagna per impadronirsi delle miniere di oro e di argento che vi sono;	و ما فعلوا في بلاد اسبانية واستيلاؤهم على معادن الفضة والذهب التي هناك وانهم اخضعوا كل مكان بمشورتهم وطول اناتهم
8:4	and how they had gained control of the whole region by their planning and patience, even though the place was far distant from them. They also subdued the kings who came against them from the ends of the earth, until they crushed them and inflicted great	und durch ihre Klugheit und Ausdauer das ganze Land an sich gebracht, obgleich es von ihnen weit entfernt liegt. 8:5	They had crushed in battle and conquered Philip, and King Perseus of the Macedonians, and the others who rose up against them.	Philippus und Perseus, die Könige der Kittäer, und alle anderen, die sich gegen sie auflehnten, hatten sie im Krieg vernichtend geschlagen und unterworfen.	Avevano poi sconfitto in guerra e sottomesso Filippo e Perseo re dei Chittim e quanti si erano sollevati contro di loro.	و قد قهروا فيلبس وفرساوس ملك كتيم في الحرب وكل من قاتلهم واخضعوهم
8:6	They also had defeated Antiochus the Great, king of Asia, who went to fight against them with one hundred twenty elephants and with cavalry and chariots and a very large army. He was crushed by them;	Als Antiochus, der Großkönig von Asien, mit hundertzwanzig Elefanten, mit Reiterei, Streitwagen und einem gewaltigen Heer gegen sie zum Kampf auszog, wurde er von ihnen vernichtend geschlagen.	Venne a sapere che Antioco, il grande re dell'Asia, era sceso in guerra contro di loro con centoventi elefanti e cavalleria e carri e un'esercito immenso e fu sconfitto da loro,	و كسروا انطيوكس الكبير ملك اسية الذي زحف لقتالهم ومعه مئة وعشرون فيلا وفرسان وعجلات وجيش كثير جدا
8:7	they took him alive and decreed that he and those who would reign after him should pay a heavy tribute and give hostages and surrender some of their best provinces,	Sie nahmen ihn lebendig gefangen und erlegten ihm und seinen Nachfolgern einen hohen Tribut auf; er musste Geiseln stellen und einen Teil seines Gebietes abtreten.	che lo presero vivo e gli imposero di pagare, lui e i suoi successori, un tributo ingente, di consegnare ostaggi e cedere territori:	و قبضوا عليه حيا وضربوا عليه وعلى الذين يملكون بعده جزية عظيمة ورهائن ووضائع معلومة
8:8	the countries of India, Media, and Lydia. These they took from him and gave to King Eumenes. 8:9	The Greeks planned to come and destroy them,	Als die Bewohner von Griechenland den Plan fassten, in den Krieg zu ziehen, um die Römer zu vernichten,	Gli fu riferito inoltre come i Greci avevano deciso di affrontarli e distruggerli,	و لما هم اليونان ان يسيروا لمقاتلتهم بلغهم ذلك
8:10	but this became known to them, and they sent a general against the Greeks and attacked them. Many of them were wounded and fell, and the Romans took captive their wives and children; they plundered them, conquered the land, tore down their strongholds,	wurde diesen die Sache bekannt. Sie schickten nur einen einzigen Befehlshaber aus, um gegen sie Krieg zu führen. Von den Griechen wurden viele verwundet und kamen um. Die Römer führten ihre Frauen und Kinder gefangen weg, plünderten ihre Habe und nahmen das Land in Besitz; sie schleiften ihre Festungen und machten sich die Griechen untertan; so ist es geblieben bis auf den heutigen Tag.	ma la cosa fu da loro risaputa e mandarono contro di quelli un solo generale; vennero a battaglia con loro e ne caddero uccisi molti; i Romani condussero in schiavitù le loro mogli e i loro figli e saccheggiarono i loro beni, conquistarono il paese e abbatterono le loro fortezze e li resero soggetti fino ad oggi.	فارسلوا اليهم قائدا واحدا وحاربوهم فسقط منهم قتلى كثيرون وسبوا نساءهم واولادهم ونهبوهم واستولوا على ارضهم وهدموا حصونهم واستعبدوهم الى هذا اليوم
8:11	The remaining kingdoms and islands, as many as ever opposed them, they destroyed and enslaved;	Auch alle anderen Reiche und die Inseln, die sich irgendwann gegen sie erhoben, hatten sie besiegt und sich untertan gemacht.	Gli altri regni e le isole e quanti per avventura si erano opposti a loro, li distrussero e soggiogarono; con i loro amici invece e con quanti si appoggiavano ad essi avevano mantenuto amicizia.	و دمروا سائر الممالك والجزائر التي قاومتهم واستعبدوا سكانها
8:12	but with their friends and those who rely on them they have kept friendship. They have subdued kings far and near, and as many as have heard of their fame have feared them.	Ihren Freunden aber und allen, die sich auf sie verließen, hielten sie die Freundschaft. Sie unterwarfen die Könige nah und fern, und wer ihren Namen hörte, hatte Angst vor ihnen.	Avevano assoggettato i re vicini e quelli lontani e quanti sentivano il loro nome ne avevano timore.	و انهم حفظوا المودة لاوليائهم والذين اعتمدوا عليهم وتسلطوا على الممالك قريبها وبعيدها وكل من سمع باسمهم خافهم
8:13	Those whom they wish to help and to make kings, they make kings, and those whom they wish they depose; and they have been greatly exalted.	Wem sie aber zur Herrschaft verhelfen wollen, der wird König und ebenso setzen sie ab, wen sie wollen. Auf diese Weise sind sie sehr groß geworden.	Quelli che essi vogliono aiutare e far regnare, regnano; quelli che essi vogliono, li depongono, tanto si sono innalzati in potenza.	و من ارادوا مؤازرته وتمليكه ملكوه ومن ارادوا خلعه خلعوه فعلا شانهم جدا
8:14	Yet for all this not one of them has put on a crown or worn purple as a mark of pride,	Bei all dem setzt sich keiner von ihnen eine Krone auf oder legt Purpurgewänder an, um damit zu prunken.	Con tutti questi successi nessuno di loro si è imposto il diadema e non vestono la porpora per fregiarsene.	و مع ذلك كله لم يلبس احد منهم التاج ولا تردى الارجوان مباهاة به
8:15	but they have built for themselves a senate chamber, and every day three hundred twenty senators constantly deliberate concerning the people, to govern them well.	Vielmehr haben sie sich eine Ratsversammlung (den Senat) geschaffen und jeden Tag halten dreihundertundzwanzig Ratsherren darüber Rat, wie das Volk gut zu regieren sei.	Essi hanno costituito un consiglio e ogni giorno trecentoventi consiglieri discutono pienamente riguardo al popolo perché tutto vada bene.	و انما وضعوا لهم شورى ياتمر فيها كل يوم ثلاث مئة وعشرون رجلا لاصلاح شؤونهم
8:16	They trust one man each year to rule over them and to control all their land; they all heed the one man, and there is no envy or jealousy among them.	Einem einzigen Mann übertragen sie vertrauensvoll für ein Jahr die Regierung über sich und die Herrschaft über ihr ganzes Land. Alle gehorchen dem einen, ohne dass es Neid oder Eifersucht unter ihnen gibt.	Affidano il comando e il governo di tutti i loro domìni a uno di loro per un anno e tutti obbediscono a quel solo e non c'è in loro invidia né gelosia.	و هم يفوضون سلطانهم وسياسة ارضهم بجملتها كل سنة الى رجل واحد وجميعهم يطيعون هذا الواحد وليس فيهم حسد ولا منافسة
8:17	So Judas chose Eupolemus son of John son of Accos, and Jason son of Eleazar, and sent them to Rome to establish friendship and alliance,	Judas wählte Eupolemus, den Sohn Johanans und Enkel des Koz, aus, sowie Jason, den Sohn Eleasars, und schickte sie nach Rom, um mit den Römern ein Freundschafts- und Waffenbündnis zu schließen,	Giuda pertanto scelse Eupòlemo, figlio di Giovanni, figlio di Accos, e Giasone, figlio di Eleàzaro, e li inviò a Roma a stringere amicizia e alleanza	فاختار يهوذا اوبولمس بن يوحنا بن اكوس وياسون بن العازار وارسلهما الى رومية ليعقدا معهم عهد الموالاة والمناصرة
8:18	and to free themselves from the yoke; for they saw that the kingdom of the Greeks was enslaving Israel completely.	damit das Joch von Judäa genommen werde; denn die Römer sahen ja, wie die Könige der Griechen Israel in Knechtschaft hielten.	per liberarsi dal giogo, perché vedevano che il regno dei Greci riduceva Israele in schiavitù.	و يرفعا عنهم النير لانهم راوا ان دولة اليونان قد استعبدت اسرائيل استعبادا
8:19	They went to Rome, a very long journey; and they entered the senate chamber and spoke as follows:	Sie reisten also nach Rom - es war ein sehr weiter Weg -, traten vor den Senat und sagten:	Andarono fino a Roma con viaggio lunghissimo, entrarono nel senato e incominciarono a dire:	فانطلقا الى رومية في سفر بعيد جدا ودخلا الشورى وتكلما وقالا
8:20	Judas, who is also called Maccabeus, and his brothers and the people of the Jews have sent us to you to establish alliance and peace with you, so that we may be enrolled as your allies and friends.	Judas, der Makkabäer, seine Brüder und das jüdische Volk haben uns zu euch geschickt. Wir wollen mit euch ein Friedensbündnis schließen und als eure Bundesgenossen und Freunde eingeschrieben werden.	«Giuda, chiamato anche Maccabeo, e i suoi fratelli e il popolo dei Giudei ci hanno inviati a voi, per concludere con voi alleanza e amicizia e per essere iscritti tra i vostri alleati e amici».	انا مرسلان اليكم من قبل يهوذا المكابي واخوته وجمهور اليهود لنعقد معكم عهد المناصرة والمسالمة وان تثبتونا في جملة مناصريكم واوليائكم
8:21	The proposal pleased them,	Der Senat war mit dem Vorschlag einverstanden.	Piacque loro la proposta.	فحسن الكلام لديهم
8:22	and this is a copy of the letter that they wrote in reply, on bronze tablets, and sent to Jerusalem to remain with them there as a memorial of peace and alliance:	Dies ist eine Abschrift der Urkunde, die sie auf Bronzetafeln aufzeichnen und nach Jerusalem schicken ließen, damit die Erinnerung an das Friedensbündnis ständig gegenwärtig bleibe:	Questa è la copia della lettera che trascrissero su tavolette di bronzo e inviarono a Gerusalemme, perché vi rimanesse come documento di amicizia e alleanza per i Giudei.	و هذه نسخة الكتاب الذي دونوه على الواح من نحاس وارسلوه الى اورشليم حتى يكون عندهم تذكار للمسالمة والمناصرة
8:23	May all go well with the Romans and with the nation of the Jews at sea and on land forever, and may sword and enemy be far from them.	Den Römern und dem jüdischen Volk soll es zu Wasser und zu Land immer wohl ergehen; Schwert und Feind mögen ihnen fern bleiben.	«Salute ai Romani e al popolo dei Giudei per mare e per terra sempre; lungi da loro la spada nemica.	الفلاح للرومانيين ولامة اليهود في البحر والبر الى الابد وليبعد عنهم السيف والعدو
8:24	If war comes first to Rome or to any of their allies in all their dominion,	Wenn Rom oder irgendeinem seiner Bundesgenossen in seinem ganzen Machtbereich zuerst ein Krieg droht,	Se verrà mossa guerra prima contro Roma o contro uno qualsiasi dei suoi alleati in tutto il suo dominio,	اذا قامت حرب في رومية اولا او عند اي كان من مناصريهم في جميع سلطانهم
8:25	the nation of the Jews shall act as their allies wholeheartedly, as the occasion may indicate to them.	wird das jüdische Volk, je nachdem es die Lage erfordert, bereitwillig mit in den Kampf ziehen.	il popolo dei Giudei combatterà al loro fianco con piena lealtà come suggerirà loro l'occasione;	فامة اليهود تناصر بكل عزمها كما تقتضيه الحال
8:26	To the enemy that makes war they shall not give or supply grain, arms, money, or ships, just as Rome has decided; and they shall keep their obligations without receiving any return.	Den Kriegführenden brauchen keine Nahrungsmittel, keine Waffen, kein Geld und auch keine Schiffe geliefert zu werden, wenn Rom es so für richtig hält. Sie werden ihren Verpflichtungen ohne Gegenleistung nachkommen.	ai nemici non forniranno né procureranno granaglie, armi, denaro, navi, secondo la decisione di Roma, ma manterranno i loro impegni senza compenso.	و ليس على الرومانيين ان يؤدوا الى المحاربين معهم او يجهروا لهم طعاما ولا اسلحة ولا فضة ولا سفنا كذلك حسن عند الرومانيين لكن يحافظون على اوامر الرومانيين بغير ان ياخذوا شيئا
8:27	In the same way, if war comes first to the nation of the Jews, the Romans shall willingly act as their allies, as the occasion may indicate to them.	Ebenso werden die Römer, wenn das jüdische Volk zuerst in einen Krieg verwickelt wird, bereitwillig mitkämpfen, je nach den Umständen.	Allo stesso modo se capiterà prima una guerra al popolo dei Giudei, combatteranno con loro i Romani con tutto l'animo, come permetteranno loro le circostanze;	و كذلك امة اليهود اذا حدثت لها حرب اولا فالرومانيون ينتدبون للمناصرة كما تقتضيه الحال
8:28	And to their enemies there shall not be given grain, arms, money, or ships, just as Rome has decided; and they shall keep these obligations and do so without deceit.	Den Bundesgenossen brauchen keine Nahrungsmittel, Waffen, kein Geld und auch keine Schiffe geliefert zu werden, wenn Rom es so für richtig hält; sie werden ihren Verpflichtungen ohne Hinterlist nachkommen.	ai nemici non forniranno granaglie, armi, denaro, navi, secondo la decisione di Roma; osserveranno questi impegni senza frode.	و ليس على اليهود ان يؤدوا الى المناصرين طعاما ولا اسلحة ولا فضة ولاسفنا كذلك حسن عند الرومانيين لكن يحافظون على اوامر اليهود دون غش
8:29	Thus on these terms the Romans make a treaty with the Jewish people.	Das ist der Wortlaut des Vertrags, den die Römer mit dem Volk der Juden geschlossen haben.	Secondo queste formule i Romani hanno stabilito un'alleanza con il popolo dei Giudei.	على هذا الكلام عاهد الرومانيون شعب اليهود
8:30	If after these terms are in effect both parties shall determine to add or delete anything, they shall do so at their discretion, and any addition or deletion that they may make shall be valid.	Wenn später die beiden Parteien etwas hinzufügen oder streichen wollen, können sie es nach ihrem Belieben tun. Die Zusätze oder Streichungen werden gültig sein.	Se dopo queste decisioni vorranno gli uni o gli altri aggiungere o togliere qualche cosa, lo faranno di comune accordo e quello che avranno aggiunto o tolto sarà obbligatorio.	و اذا شاء هؤلاء او اولئك ان يزيدوا على هذا الكلام او يسقطوا منه فيفعلون برضى الفريقين وكل ما زادوا او اسقطوا يكون مقررا
8:31	Concerning the wrongs that King Demetrius is doing to them, we have written to him as follows, Why have you made your yoke heavy on our friends and allies the Jews?	Dem König Demetrius aber haben wir geschrieben wegen des Unrechts, das er den Juden zugefügt hat: Warum lastet dein Joch so schwer auf unseren Freunden und Bundesgenossen, den Juden?	Riguardo poi ai mali che il re Demetrio compie ai loro danni, gli abbiamo scritto: Perché aggravi il giogo sui Giudei nostri amici e alleati?	اما الشرور التي انزلها بهم الملك ديمتريوس فقد كتبنا اليه قائلين لم ثقلت النير على اوليائنا ومناصرينا اليهود
8:32	If now they appeal again for help against you, we will defend their rights and fight you on sea and on land.'	Wenn sie jetzt noch einmal deinetwegen vorstellig werden, verhelfen wir ihnen zu ihrem Recht und führen gegen dich Krieg zu Wasser und zu Land.	Se dunque si appelleranno contro di te, difenderemo i loro diritti e ti faremo guerra per mare e per terra».	فان عادوا يتظلمون منك فسنجري لهم الحكم ونقاتلك بحرا وبرا
