14:2	When King Arsaces of Persia and Media heard that Demetrius had invaded his territory, he sent one of his generals to take him alive.	Als Arsakes, der König von Persien und Medien, erfuhr, dass Demetrius in sein Gebiet eingedrungen war, sandte er einen seiner Feldherren mit dem Auftrag aus, Demetrius lebendig gefangen zu nehmen.	Ma Arsace, re della Persia e della Media, appena seppe che Demetrio era entrato nel suo territorio, mandò uno dei suoi generali per catturarlo vivo.	و بلغ ارساكيس ملك فارس وماداي ان ديمتريوس قد دخل تخومه فارسل بعض رؤسائه ليقبض عليه حيا
14:3	The general went and defeated the army of Demetrius, and seized him and took him to Arsaces, who put him under guard.	Der Feldherr machte sich auf den Weg, schlug das Heer des Demetrius, nahm ihn gefangen und brachte ihn zu Arsakes, der ihn ins Gefängnis warf.	Costui venne, battè l'esercito di Demetrio, lo catturò e lo condusse ad Arsace e questi lo mise in carcere.	فذهب وضرب جيش ديمتريوس وقبض عليه واتى به ارساكيس فجعله في السجن
14:4	The land had rest all the days of Simon. He sought the good of his nation; his rule was pleasing to them, as was the honor shown him, all his days.	Das Land Judäa hatte Ruhe, solange Simeon lebte. Er sorgte für das Wohl seines Volkes. Sie freuten sich jeden Tag über seine Macht und seinen Ruhm.	Ebbe pace la terra di Giuda per tutta la vita di Simone; egli cercò il bene della sua gente e ad essi fu gradito il suo potere e la sua gloria per tutti i suoi giorni.	فهدات ارض يهوذا كل ايام سمعان وجعل همه مصلحة امته فكانوا مبتهجين بسلطانه ومجده كل الايام
14:5	To crown all his honors he took Joppa for a harbor, and opened a way to the isles of the sea.	Sein Ruhm wuchs, als er den Hafen von Jafo gewann; so öffnete er einen Weg zu den Inseln.	In aggiunta a tutte le sue glorie egli prese Giaffa per farne un porto e aprì un accesso alle isole del mare.	و فضلا عن ذلك المجد كله جعل يافا مرسى وفتح مجازا لجزائر البحر
14:6	He extended the borders of his nation, and gained full control of the country.	Er erweiterte das Gebiet seines Volkes und gewann die Herrschaft über das ganze Land.	Ampliò i confini del suo popolo e riconquistò la regione.	و وسع تخوم امته واستحوذ على البلاد
14:7	He gathered a host of captives; he ruled over Gazara and Beth-zur and the citadel, and he removed its uncleanness from it; and there was none to oppose him.	Viele Verbannte führte er wieder zurück. Er eroberte Geser, Bet-Zur und die Burg und vernichtete darin alles, was unrein war. Niemand widersetzte sich ihm.	Raccolse una turba di prigionieri e s'impadronì di Ghezer, di Bet-Zur e dell'Acra;	و جمع اسرى كثيرين وامتلك جازر وبيت صور والقلعة واخرج منها النجاسات ولم يكن من يقاومه
14:8	They tilled their land in peace; the ground gave its increase, and the trees of the plains their fruit.	Sie bebauten in Frieden ihr Land; der Boden gab seinen Ertrag, die Bäume auf dem Feld ihre Frucht.	spazzò via da essa le immondezze, e nessuno gli si oppose. In pace si diedero a coltivare la loro terra; il suolo dava i suoi prodotti e gli alberi della campagna i loro frutti.	و كانوا يفلحون ارضهم بسلام والارض تعطي اتاءها واشجار الحقول اثمارها
14:9	Old men sat in the streets; they all talked together of good things, and the youths put on splendid military attire.	Auf den Plätzen saßen die Alten; alle sprachen über ihr Glück. Die jungen Männer gingen im Schmuck ihrer Waffen umher.	I vecchi sedevano nelle piazze, tutti s'interessavano al bene i giovani indossavano splendide vesti e armature di guerra.	و كان الشيوخ يجلسون في الساحات يتفاوضون جميعا في مصالح الامة والشبان متسربلين بالبهاء وعليهم حلل الحرب
14:10	He supplied the towns with food, and furnished them with the means of defense, until his renown spread to the ends of the earth.	Er versorgte die Städte mit Nahrung und baute sie zu Festungen aus. Sein Name wurde berühmt bis an das Ende der Welt.	Alle città fornì vettovaglie, e le munì con mezzi di difesa; così divenne celebre il suo nome e la sua gloria fino all'estremità della terra.	و كان سمعان يمير المدن بالطعام ويهيئ فيها اسباب التحصين حتى صار ذكر مجده الى اقاصي الارض
14:11	He established peace in the land, and Israel rejoiced with great joy.	Er brachte dem Land den Frieden, in Israel herrschte Jubel und Freude.	Fece regnare sul paese la pace e Israele gioì di grande letizia.	و قرر السلم في ارضه فلبث اسرائيل في فرح عظيم
14:12	All the people sat under their own vines and fig trees, and there was none to make them afraid.	Jeder saß unter seinem Weinstock und seinem Feigenbaum und niemand schreckte sie auf.	Ognuno sedeva sotto la sua vite e sotto il suo fico e nessuno incuteva loro timore.	و جلس كل واحد تحت كرمته وتينته ولم يكن من يذعرهم
14:13	No one was left in the land to fight them, and the kings were crushed in those days.	Der Feind verschwand aus dem Land; in jenen Tagen wurden die Könige besiegt.	Scomparve dal paese chi li avversava e i re andarono in rovina in quei giorni.	و لم يبق في الارض من يحاربهم وقد انكسرت الملوك في تلك الايام
14:14	He gave help to all the humble among his people; he sought out the law, and did away with all the renegades and outlaws.	Er stärkte alle Schwachen im Land und setzte sich ein für das Gesetz. Alle Verräter und Sünder aber rottete er aus.	Confortò tutti i derelitti nel suo popolo; ricercò la legge ed eliminò ogni iniquo e maligno.	و قوى كل من كان ضعيفا في شعبه وغار على الشريعة واستاصل كل اثيم وشرير
14:15	He made the sanctuary glorious, and added to the vessels of the sanctuary.	Das Heiligtum baute er prachtvoll aus, viele Geräte für den Tempel schaffte er an.	Diede splendore al tempio e lo rifornì di tutti gli arredi.	و عظم الاقداس واكثر من الانية المقدسة
14:16	It was heard in Rome, and as far away as Sparta, that Jonathan had died, and they were deeply grieved.	Als man in Rom - und auch in Sparta - erfuhr, dass Jonatan tot war, war man sehr bestürzt. 14:17	When they heard that his brother Simon had become high priest in his stead, and that he was ruling over the country and the towns in it,	Als man aber hörte, sein Bruder Simeon habe seine Nachfolge als Hoherpriester angetreten und das Land mit seinen Städten sei fest in seiner Hand,	Tuttavia, quando seppero che Simone suo fratello era divenuto sommo sacerdote al suo posto e continuava a mantenere il potere sulla regione e sulle città,	و اذ بلغهم ان سمعان اخاه قد تقلد الكهنوت الاعظم مكانه وصارت البلاد وما بها من المدن تحت سلطانه
14:18	they wrote to him on bronze tablets to renew with him the friendship and alliance that they had established with his brothers Judas and Jonathan.	schrieben sie ihm auf Bronzetafeln einen Brief und boten ihm an, das Freundschaftsbündnis mit ihm zu erneuern, das sie mit seinen Brüdern Judas und Jonatan geschlossen hatten.	scrissero a lui su tavolette di bronzo per rinnovare con lui l'amicizia e l'alleanza che avevano concluso con Giuda e Giònata suoi fratelli.	كتبوا اليه على الواح من نحاس يجددون معه ما كانوا قد قرروه مع يهوذا ويوناتان اخويه من الموالاة والمناصرة
14:19	And these were read before the assembly in Jerusalem.	Diese Botschaft wurde vor der Volksversammlung in Jerusalem verlesen.	I messaggi furono letti davanti all'adunanza in Gerusalemme.	فقرئت الالواح بمشهد الجماعة في اورشليم وهذه صورة الكتب التي انفذها الاسبرطيون
14:20	This is a copy of the letter that the Spartans sent: The rulers and the city of the Spartans to the high priest Simon and to the elders and the priests and the rest of the Jewish people, our brothers, greetings.	Hier ist eine Abschrift des Briefes, den die Spartaner schickten: Die Regierung und die Stadt der Spartaner grüßen den Hohenpriester Simeon, die Ältesten, die Priester und das ganze übrige jüdische Volk, ihre Brüder.	Questa è la copia della lettera che inviarono gli Spartani: «Le autorità e la cittadinanza degli Spartani a Simone sommo sacerdote, agli anziani, ai sacerdoti e al resto del popolo giudaico, loro fratelli, salute.	من رؤساء الاسبرطيين ومن المدينة الى سمعان الكاهن الاعظم والى الشيوخ والكهنة وسائر شعب اليهود اخوتنا سلام
14:21	The envoys who were sent to our people have told us about your glory and honor, and we rejoiced at their coming.	Die Gesandten, die ihr zu unserem Volk geschickt habt, haben uns von eurem Ruhm und eurem Ansehen berichtet und wir haben uns über ihren Besuch sehr gefreut.	I messaggeri inviati al nostro popolo ci hanno riferito intorno alla vostra gloria e al vostro onore e noi ci siamo rallegrati per il loro arrivo.	لقد اخبرنا الرسل الذين انفذتموهم الى شعبنا بما انتم فيه من العزة والكرامة فسررنا بوفدهم
14:22	We have recorded what they said in our public decrees, as follows, Numenius son of Antiochus and Antipater son of Jason, envoys of the Jews, have come to us to renew their friendship with us.	Was sie vor dem Rat des Volkes gesagt haben, haben wir, wie folgt, schriftlich festgehalten: Numenius, der Sohn des Antiochus, und Antipater, der Sohn Jasons, sind als Gesandte der Juden zu uns gekommen, um die Freundschaft mit uns zu erneuern.	Abbiamo registrato le loro dichiarazioni negli atti pubblici, in questi termini: Numenio, figlio di Antioco, e Antìpatro, figlio di Giasone, messaggeri dei Giudei, sono giunti presso di noi per rinnovare l'amicizia con noi.	و دونا ما قالوه في دواوين الشعب هكذا قد قدم علينا نومانيوس بن انطيوكس وانتيباتير ابن ياسون رسولا اليهود ليجددا مابيننا من الموالاة
14:23	It has pleased our people to receive these men with honor and to put a copy of their words in the public archives, so that the people of the Spartans may have a record of them. And they have sent a copy of this to the high priest Simon.'	Das Volk hat beschlossen, ihnen einen glänzenden Empfang zu bereiten und die Niederschrift ihrer Rede im Staatsarchiv zu hinterlegen, damit das Volk von Sparta sie nicht vergisst. - Eine Abschrift davon schickten sie an den Hohenpriester Simeon.	E' piaciuto al popolo di ricevere questi uomini con ogni onore e di inserire il testo del loro discorso nei registri a disposizione del pubblico, perché il popolo degli Spartani ne mantenga il ricordo».	فحسن لدى الشعب ان يلتقي الرجلين باكرام ويثبت صورة كلامهما في سجلات الشعب المخصصة لتكون تذكارا عند شعب الاسبرطيين وقد كتبنا بنسختها الى سمعان الكاهن الاعظم
14:24	After this Simon sent Numenius to Rome with a large gold shield weighing one thousand minas, to confirm the alliance with the Romans.	Danach sandte Simeon den Numenius mit einem großen goldenen Schild, der tausend Minen wog, nach Rom, um das Bündnis mit den Römern zu bekräftigen.	Successivamente Simone mandò a Roma Numenio con un grande scudo d'oro, del peso di mille mine, per concludere l'alleanza con loro.	و بعد ذلك ارسل سمعان نومانيوس الى رومية ومعه ترس عظيم من الذهب وزنه الف منا ليقرر المناصرة بينه وبينهم
14:25	When the people heard these things they said, How shall we thank Simon and his sons?	Als man im Volk davon erfuhr, sagte man: Wie können wir Simeon und seinen Söhnen danken?	Quando il popolo seppe queste cose, disse: «Quale contraccambio daremo a Simone e ai suoi figli?	فلما سمع الشعب ذلك الكلام قالوا بماذا نكافئ سمعان وبنيه
14:26	For he and his brothers and the house of his father have stood firm; they have fought and repulsed Israel's enemies and established its freedom.	Denn er, seine Brüder und seine ganze Familie waren uns Halt und Stütze. Er hat den Kampf gegen Israels Feinde geführt und sie vertrieben und mit seinen Brüdern dem Volk die Freiheit errungen. Man fertigte Bronzetafeln an, die man auf dem Berg Zion an Säulen befestigte	Egli infatti e i suoi fratelli e la casa di suo padre sono stati saldi e hanno scacciato da sé con le armi i nemici d'Israele e hanno assicurato la libertà». Poi fecero un'iscrizione su tavole di bronzo, che furono poste su colonne sul monte Sion.	على ثباته هو واخوته وبيت ابيه ودفعه عن اسرائيل اعداءه وتمتيعه له بالحرية وكتب في الواح من نحاس جعلوها على انصابفي جبل صهيون
14:27	So they made a record on bronze tablets and put it on pillars on Mount Zion. This is a copy of what they wrote: On the eighteenth day of Elul, in the one hundred seventy-second year, which is the third year of the great high priest Simon,	und auf denen folgendes stand: Am achtzehnten Tag des Monats Elul im Jahr 172 - das ist im dritten Jahr der Regierung des großen Hohenpriesters Simeon in Asaramel -	Questo è il testo dell'iscrizione: «Il diciotto di Elul dell'anno centosettantadue, che è il terzo anno di Simone sommo sacerdote, in Asaramel,	ما صورته في اليوم العاشر من شهر ايلول في السنة المئة والثانية والسبعين وهي السنة الثالثة لسمعان الكاهن الاعظم في سرمال
14:28	in Asaramel, in the great assembly of the priests and the people and the rulers of the nation and the elders of the country, the following was proclaimed to us:	wurde auf der großen Versammlung der Priester, des Volkes, der Führer des Volkes und der Ältesten des Landes uns Folgendes bekanntgegeben:	nella grande assemblea dei sacerdoti e del popolo, dei capi della nazione e degli anziani della regione ci è stato reso noto:	في مجمع عظيم من الكهنة والشعب ورؤساء الامة وشيوخ البلاد ثبت عندنا ان قد وقعت حروب كثيرة في البلاد
14:29	Since wars often occurred in the country, Simon son of Mattathias, a priest of the sons of Joarib, and his brothers, exposed themselves to danger and resisted the enemies of their nation, in order that their sanctuary and the law might be preserved; and	Als wiederholt im Land Krieg ausbrach, scheuten Simeon, der Sohn des Mattatias, aus der Familie Jojaribs, und seine Brüder keine Gefahr. Sie stellten sich den Feinden ihres Volkes entgegen, um ihr Heiligtum und das Gesetz zu erhalten, und verschafften ihrem Volk großen Ruhm.	Poiché più volte erano sorte guerre nel paese, Simone, figlio di Mattatia, sacerdote della stirpe di Ioarìb, e i suoi fratelli si gettarono nella mischia e si opposero agli avversari del loro popolo, perché restassero incolumi il santuario e la legge, e arrecarono gloria grande al loro popolo.	و ان سمعان بن متتيا من بني ياريب واخوته قد القوا بانفسهم في المخاطر وناهضوا اعداء امتهم صيانة لاقداسهم والشريعة واولوا امتهم مجدا كبيرا
14:30	Jonathan rallied the nation, became their high priest, and was gathered to his people.	Jonatan führte sein Volk zusammen; er wurde ihr Hoherpriester, bis er mit seinen Vätern vereint wurde.	Giònata riunì la sua nazione e ne divenne il sommo sacerdote, poi andò a raggiungere i suoi antenati.	و ان يوناتان جمع شمل امته وتقلد فيهم الكهنوت الاعظم ثم انضم الى قومه
14:31	When their enemies decided to invade their country and lay hands on their sanctuary,	Als darauf ihre Feinde den Plan fassten, in das Land einzufallen, um es zu vernichten und ihr Heiligtum anzutasten,	I loro nemici vollero invadere il loro paese e stendere la mano contro il santuario.	فهم اعداؤهم بالغارة على ارضهم ليدمروا بلادهم ويلقوا ايديهم على اقداسهم
14:32	then Simon rose up and fought for his nation. He spent great sums of his own money; he armed the soldiers of his nation and paid them wages.	erhob sich Simeon und kämpfte für sein Volk. Aus eigenen Mitteln brachte er viel Geld auf und versorgte die Krieger seines Volkes mit Waffen und Verpflegung.	Simone allora si oppose e si battè per il suo popolo e spese molto del suo per dotare di armi le milizie della sua nazione e assegnare loro un salario.	حينئذ نهض سمعان وقاتل عن امته وانفق كثيرا من امواله وسلح رجال الباس من امته واجرى عليهم الارزاق
14:33	He fortified the towns of Judea, and Beth-zur on the borders of Judea, where formerly the arms of the enemy had been stored, and he placed there a garrison of Jews.	Er ließ die Städte Judäas befestigen, besonders Bet-Zur, das an der Grenze von Judäa liegt; er legte eine jüdische Besatzung dorthin, wo zuvor ein Waffenlager der Feinde gewesen war.	Inoltre fortificò le città della Giudea e Bet-Zur nel territorio della Giudea, dove prima c'era la roccaforte dei nemici, e vi pose un presidio di soldati giudei.	و حصن مدن اليهودية وبيت صور التي عند حدود اليهودية حيث كانت اسلحة الاعداء من قبل وجعل هناك حرسا من رجال اليهود
14:34	He also fortified Joppa, which is by the sea, and Gazara, which is on the borders of Azotus, where the enemy formerly lived. He settled Jews there, and provided in those towns whatever was necessary for their restoration.	Auch die Städte Jafo am Meer und Geser bei Aschdod ließ er befestigen. Früher wohnten dort die Feinde, er aber siedelte Juden an und ließ ihnen alles zukommen, was sie zu ihrem Unterhalt brauchten.	Fortificò Giaffa, situata sul mare, e Ghezer presso i confini di Asdòd, nelle quali prima risiedevano i nemici, e vi impiantò i Giudei e provvide in esse quanto era necessario al loro sostentamento.	و حصن يافا التي على البحر وجازر التي عند حدود اشدود حيث كان الاعداء مقيمين من قبل واسكن هناك يهودا وجعل فيهما كل ما ياول الى اعزاز شانهما
14:35	The people saw Simon's faithfulness and the glory that he had resolved to win for his nation, and they made him their leader and high priest, because he had done all these things and because of the justice and loyalty that he had maintained toward his na	Als das Volk sah, wie treu Simeon war und welchen Ruhm er seinem Volk zu verschaffen suchte, machten sie ihn zu ihrem Führer und Hohenpriester zum Dank für all diese Taten, für die Gerechtigkeit und Treue, die er seinem Volk bewies, und für sein Bestreben, auf jede Weise sein Volk zu fördern.	Il popolo ammirò la fede di Simone e la gloria che egli si proponeva di procurare al suo popolo; lo costituirono loro capo e sommo sacerdote per queste sue imprese e per la giustizia e la fede che egli aveva conservate al suo popolo e perché aveva cercato con ogni mezzo di elevare la sua gente.	فلما راى الشعب ما فعل سمعان والمجد الذي شرع في انشائه لامته اقاموه قائدا لهم وكاهنا اعظم لما صنعه من ذلك كله ولاجل عدله والوفاء الذي حفظه لامته والتماسه اعزاز شعبه بجميع الوجوه
14:36	In his days things prospered in his hands, so that the Gentiles were put out of the country, as were also those in the city of David in Jerusalem, who had built themselves a citadel from which they used to sally forth and defile the environs of the sanct	Es ist ihm zu seiner Zeit gelungen, die Fremden aus dem Land zu vertreiben, vor allem die, die in der Davidstadt in Jerusalem wohnten und sich eine Burg gebaut hatten, aus der sie Ausfälle machten, die Umgebung des Tempels entweihten und seiner Heiligkeit großen Schaden zufügten.	Nei suoi giorni si riuscì felicemente per mezzo suo a scacciare dal loro paese i pagani e quelli che erano nella città di Davide e in Gerusalemme, che si erano edificati l'Acra e ne uscivano profanando i dintorni del santuario e recando offesa grande alla sua purità.	و في ايامه تم النجح على يديه باجلاء الامم عن البلاد وطرد الذين في مدينة داود باورشليم وكانوا قد بنوا لانفسهم قلعة يخرجون منها وينجسون ما حول الاقداس ويفسدون الطهارة افسادا عظيما
14:37	He settled Jews in it and fortified it for the safety of the country and of the city, and built the walls of Jerusalem higher.	Er siedelte in der Davidstadt Juden an und ließ sie befestigen, um Land und Stadt zu sichern. Auch ließ er die Mauern von Jerusalem höher machen.	Egli vi insediò soldati giudei, la fortificò per la purità della regione e della città ed elevò le mura di Gerusalemme.	و اسكن فيها رجالا من اليهود وحصنها لՙʘǙƘɠǙĘșĘǘϠوالمدينة ورفع اسوار اورشليم
14:38	In view of these things King Demetrius confirmed him in the high priesthood,	Demgemäß bestätigte ihn König Demetrius im Hohenpriesteramt.	Il re Demetrio quindi gli confermò il sommo sacerdozio;	و اقره الملك ديمتريوس في الكهنوت الاعظم
14:39	made him one of his Friends, and paid him high honors.	Er ernannte ihn zu seinem Freund und zeichnete ihn durch hohe Ehren aus.	lo ascrisse tra i suoi amici e gli conferì grandi onori.	و جعله من اصدقائه وعظمه جدا
14:40	For he had heard that the Jews were addressed by the Romans as friends and allies and brothers, and that the Romans had received the envoys of Simon with honor.	Denn er hatte gehört, dass Rom die Juden Freunde, Verbündete und Brüder genannt und den Gesandten Simeons einen glänzenden Empfang bereitet hatte.	Seppe infatti che i Giudei erano considerati amici, alleati e fratelli da parte dei Romani, e che questi erano andati incontro ai messaggeri di Simone con segni di onore;	اذ بلغه ان الرومانيين يسمون اليهود اولياء لهم ومناصرين واخوة وقد تلقوا رسل سمعان باكرام
14:41	The Jews and their priests have resolved that Simon should be their leader and high priest forever, until a trustworthy prophet should arise,	Darum beschlossen die Juden und ihre Priester, Simeon solle für immer ihr Anführer und Hoherpriester sein, bis ein wahrer Prophet auftrete.	che i Giudei e i sacerdoti avevano approvato che Simone fosse sempre loro condottiero e sommo sacerdote finché sorgesse un profeta fedele,	و ان اليهود وكهنتهم قد حسن لديهم ان يكون سمعان رئيسا وكاهنا اعظم مدى الدهر الى ان يقوم نبي امين
14:42	and that he should be governor over them and that he should take charge of the sanctuary and appoint officials over its tasks and over the country and the weapons and the strongholds, and that he should take charge of the sanctuary,	Auch solle er ihr Befehlshaber sein und für das Heiligtum Sorge tragen; durch ihn seien die Beamten zu ernennen für die Arbeiten am Tempel, für das Land, das Heer und die Festungen.	che fosse loro comandante militare e avesse cura del santuario e fossero nominati da lui i sovrintendenti ai loro lavori, al paese, agli armamenti e alle fortezze;	و يكون قائدا لهم ويهتم بالاقداس ويقيم منهم اناسا على الاعمال والبلاد والاسلحة والحصون
14:43	and that he should be obeyed by all, and that all contracts in the country should be written in his name, and that he should be clothed in purple and wear gold.
