16:2	And Simon called in his two eldest sons Judas and John, and said to them: My brothers and I and my father's house have fought the wars of Israel from our youth until this day, and things have prospered in our hands so that we have delivered Israel many ti	Simeon rief seine beiden ältesten Söhne, Judas und Johanan, zu sich und sagte zu ihnen: Ich, meine Brüder und meine Familie haben von Jugend an bis auf den heutigen Tag die Kriege Israels geführt. Oft gelang es uns, Israel zu retten.	Simone chiamò i suoi due figli maggiori Giuda e Giovanni e disse loro: «Io e i miei fratelli e la casa di mio padre abbiamo combattuto le battaglie d'Israele dalla gioventù fino ad oggi e riuscì nelle nostre mani l'impresa di salvare Israele ripetutamente;	فدعا سمعان ابنيه الاكبرين يهوذا ويوحنا وقال لهما انا لم نزل انا واخوتي وبيت ابي نحارب حروب اسرائيل منذ صغرنا الى هذا اليوم وقد انجح على ايدينا خلاص اسرائيل مرارا كثيرة
16:3	But now I have grown old, and you by Heaven's mercy are mature in years. Take my place and my brother's, and go out and fight for our nation, and may the help that comes from Heaven be with you.	Nun bin ich alt geworden; ihr aber seid durch des Himmels Gnade herangewachsen. Tretet an meine und meines Bruders Stelle, zieht aus und kämpft für unser Volk! Der Himmel möge euch helfen.	ora io sono vecchio e voi, per misericordia del Cielo, siete nell'età buona; prendete il posto mio e di mio fratello e fatevi avanti a combattere per il vostro popolo; l'aiuto del Cielo sia con voi».	و الان فاني قد شخت وانتما برحمة الله قد بلغتما اشدكما فقوما مقامي ومقام اخي واخرجا وقاتلا عن امتكما وليؤازركما النصر من السماء
16:4	So John chose out of the country twenty thousand warriors and cavalry, and they marched against Cendebeus and camped for the night in Modein.	Er hob im Land zwanzigtausend besonders kampferprobte Männer aus, dazu Reiter. Sie zogen gegen Kendebäus und blieben über Nacht in Modeïn.	Giovanni arruolò nella regione ventimila uomini esperti nelle armi e cavalieri; partirono contro Cendebèo e passarono la notte in Modin.	و انتخب من البلاد عشرين الفا من رجال الحرب والفرسان فزحفوا على كندباوس وباتوا بمودين
16:5	Early in the morning they started out and marched into the plain, where a large force of infantry and cavalry was coming to meet them; and a stream lay between them.	Früh am nächsten Morgen rückten sie aus in die Ebene. Plötzlich trafen sie auf ein großes Heer, Fußvolk und Reiterei. Es lag aber eine Schlucht zwischen ihnen.	Alzatisi il mattino, proseguirono per la pianura ed ecco venire incontro a loro un esercito ingente, fanti e cavalleria; ma un torrente li separava.	ثم قاموا في الغد وانطلقوا الى السهل فاذا تلقائهم جيش عظيم من الرجالة والفرسان وكان بين الفريقين واد
16:6	Then he and his army lined up against them. He saw that the soldiers were afraid to cross the stream, so he crossed over first; and when his troops saw him, they crossed over after him.	Johanan machte mit seinen Leuten dem Feind gegenüber Halt. Als er merkte, dass sie Angst hatten, die Schlucht zu durchqueren, ging er als erster hinüber. Das sahen seine Männer und folgten ihm auf die andere Seite.	Giovanni con la sua gente pose il campo di fronte. Vedendo che il grosso esitava ad attraversare il torrente, passò per primo. Lo videro i suoi uomini e passarono dopo di lui.	فنزل يوحنا بازائهم هو وشعبه واذ راى الشعب خائفا من عبور الوادي عبر هو اولا فلما راه الرجال عبروه وراءه
16:7	Then he divided the army and placed the cavalry in the center of the infantry, for the cavalry of the enemy were very numerous.	Dann zog er das Heer auseinander und ließ die Reiterei sich mitten zwischen dem Fußvolk aufstellen; die Reiterei des Feindes war nämlich sehr stark.	Egli divise la moltitudine e pose i cavalieri in mezzo ai fanti, perché la cavalleria degli avversari era molto numerosa.	ففرق الشعب وجعل الفرسان في وسط الرجالة وكانت فرسان العدو كثيرة جدا
16:8	They sounded the trumpets, and Cendebeus and his army were put to flight; many of them fell wounded and the rest fled into the stronghold.	Man stieß in die Trompeten und Kendebäus wurde samt seinem Heer geschlagen und hatte viele Gefallene zu beklagen. Der Rest floh in die Festung.	Poi diedero fiato alle trombe: Cendebèo e il suo schieramento furono respinti; molti della loro parte caddero colpiti a morte e i superstiti si rifugiarono nella fortezza.	ثم نفخوا في الابواق المقدسة فانكسر كندباوس وجيشه وسقط منهم قتلى كثيرين وفر الباقون الى الحصن
16:9	At that time Judas the brother of John was wounded, but John pursued them until Cendebeus reached Kedron, which he had built.	Bei dieser Gelegenheit wurde Judas, der Bruder des Johanan, verwundet. Johanan aber nahm die Verfolgung auf, bis er nach Kidron kam, das Kendebäus ausgebaut hatte.	Fu ferito allora anche Giuda, fratello di Giovanni. Giovanni invece li inseguì, finché giunse a Cedron che Cendebèo aveva ricostruito.	حينئذ جرح يهوذا اخو يوحنا وتعقبهم يوحنا حتى بلغ كندباوس الى قدرون التي بناها
16:10	They also fled into the towers that were in the fields of Azotus, and John burned it with fire, and about two thousand of them fell. He then returned to Judea safely.	Da flohen sie weiter in die Türme bei Aschdod. Johanan ließ die Stadt in Brand stecken; dabei kamen etwa zweitausend Feinde um. Johanan aber kehrte wohlbehalten nach Judäa zurück.	I nemici fuggirono nelle torri esistenti nelle campagne di Asdòd, ma egli vi appiccò il fuoco. Restarono sul campo circa duemila nemici. Poi Giovanni ritornò in Giudea senza molestie.	ففروا الى البروج التي بارض اشدود فاحرقها بالنار فسقط منهم الفا رجل ثم رجع الى ارض يهوذا بسلام
16:11	Now Ptolemy son of Abubus had been appointed governor over the plain of Jericho; he had a large store of silver and gold,	Ptolemäus, der Sohn Abubs, war Befehlshaber in der Ebene von Jericho. Er besaß viel Silber und Gold;	Tolomeo, figlio di Abùbo, era stato costituito stratega della pianura di Gerico. Egli possedeva molto argento e oro,	و كان بطلماوس بن ابوبس قد اقيم قائدا في بقعة اريحا وكان عنده من الفضة والذهب شيء كثير
16:12	for he was son-in-law of the high priest.	denn er war der Schwiegersohn des Hohenpriesters.	poiché era il genero del sommo sacerdote.	و كان صهر الكاهن الاعظم
16:13	His heart was lifted up; he determined to get control of the country, and made treacherous plans against Simon and his sons, to do away with them.	Da wurde er stolz; er wollte die Herrschaft über das Land an sich reißen und plante einen heimtückischen Anschlag, um Simeon und seine Söhne aus dem Weg zu räumen.	Il suo cuore si inorgoglì e si propose di impadronirsi del paese e covava perfidi disegni contro Simone e i suoi figli per eliminarli.	فتشامخ في قلبه وطلب ان يستولي على البلاد وقد نوى الغدر بسمعان وبنيه حتى يهلكهم
16:14	Now Simon was visiting the towns of the country and attending to their needs, and he went down to Jericho with his sons Mattathias and Judas, in the one hundred seventy-seventh year, in the eleventh month, which is the month of Shebat.	Als Simeon die Städte in jener Gegend besuchte, um dort nach dem Rechten zu sehen, kam er mit seinen Söhnen Judas und Mattatias im elften Monat, das ist der Schebat, des Jahres 177 nach Jericho.	Simone era in visita alle città della regione e si interessava delle loro necessità. Venne allora in Gerico insieme con Mattatia e Giuda suoi figli, nell'anno centosettantasette, nell'undicesimo mese, cioè il mese di Sabat.	و كان سمعان يجول في مدن البلاد ينظر في مهماتها فنزل الى اريحا هو ومتتيا ويهوذا ابناه في السنة المئة والسابعة والسبعين في شهر شباط
16:15	The son of Abubus received them treacherously in the little stronghold called Dok, which he had built; he gave them a great banquet, and hid men there.	Der Sohn Abubs hatte eine kleine Festung namens Dok erbaut. Dort nahm er sie voll Hinterlist auf. Er veranstaltete für sie ein großes Gelage, hielt aber im Hintergrund einige Männer versteckt.	Il figlio di Abùbo, che covava il tradimento, li ricevette nella cittadella, chiamata Dok, che egli aveva costruita, e servì loro un gran banchetto, nascondendo ivi degli armati.	فانزلهم ابن ابوبس بحصين كان قد بناه يقال له دوق وهو يضمر لهم الغدر وصنع لهم مادبة عظيمة واخفى هناك رجالا
16:16	When Simon and his sons were drunk, Ptolemy and his men rose up, took their weapons, rushed in against Simon in the banquet hall and killed him and his two sons, as well as some of his servants.	Als Simeon und seine Söhne betrunken waren, sprangen Ptolemäus und seine Leute auf, griffen zu ihren Waffen, drangen zu Simeon in den Speisesaal ein und erschlugen ihn und seine beiden Söhne und einige aus seinem Gefolge.	Quando Simone e i figli furono inebriati, Tolomeo e i suoi uomini si alzarono, impugnarono le armi, si scagliarono contro Simone nella sala del banchetto e trucidarono lui, i due figli e alcuni suoi servi.	فلما سكر سمعان وبنوه قام بطلماوس ومن معه واخذوا سلاحهم ووثبوا على سمعان في المادبة وقتلوه هو وابنيه وبعضا من غلمانه
16:17	So he committed an act of great treachery and returned evil for good.	So beging Ptolemäus einen gemeinen Verrat und vergalt Gutes mit Bösem.	Egli commise un'enorme perfidia e rese male per bene.	و خان خيانة فظيعة وكافا الخير بالشر
16:18	Then Ptolemy wrote a report about these things and sent it to the king, asking him to send troops to aid him and to turn over to him the towns and the country.	Ptolemäus berichtete darüber dem König in einem Brief und bat ihn, ihm Truppen zu Hilfe zu schicken und ihm das Land und die Städte zu übergeben.	Tolomeo scrisse di questa cosa e spedì al re, perché gli inviasse milizie in aiuto e gli desse in consegna la loro regione e le città.	ثم كتب بطلماوس بذلك وارسل الى الملك ان يوجه اليه جيشا لنصرته فيسلم اليه البلاد والمدن
16:19	He sent other troops to Gazara to do away with John; he sent letters to the captains asking them to come to him so that he might give them silver and gold and gifts;	Auch schickte er einige Männer nach Geser, um Johanan ermorden zu lassen. Die Hauptleute forderte er schriftlich auf, zu ihm zu kommen; er wolle ihnen Silber und Gold und andere Geschenke geben.	Inviò altri uomini a Ghezer per eliminare Giovanni e spedì lettere ai suoi comandanti, che venissero da lui, perché doveva loro argento e oro e doni;	و وجه قوما الى جازر لاهلاك يوحنا وانفذ كتبا الى رؤساء الالوف ان ياتوه حتى يعطيهم فضة وذهبا وهدايا
16:20	and he sent other troops to take possession of Jerusalem and the temple hill.	Wieder andere schickte er aus, damit sie Jerusalem und den Tempelberg besetzten.	altri uomini inviò ad occupare Gerusalemme e il monte del tempio.	و ارسل اخرين ليستولوا على اورشليم وجبل الهيكل
16:21	But someone ran ahead and reported to John at Gazara that his father and brothers had perished, and that he has sent men to kill you also.	Aber jemand lief voraus und meldete Johanan in Geser, sein Vater und seine Brüder seien tot; er sagte: Er hat bereits Leute ausgeschickt, um auch dich umbringen zu lassen.	Ma qualcuno corse avanti e informò Giovanni che suo padre e i suoi fratelli erano periti, aggiungendo: «Ha inviato uomini per uccidere anche te».	فسبق واحد واخبر يوحنا في جازر بهلاك ابيه واخويه وان بطلماوس قد بعث من يقتله
16:22	When he heard this, he was greatly shocked; he seized the men who came to destroy him and killed them, for he had found out that they were seeking to destroy him.	Als Johanan das hörte, erschrak er sehr. Die Männer aber, die kamen, um ihn zu ermorden, ließ er ergreifen und niedermachen; denn er wusste, dass sie ihn umbringen wollten.	Udendo ciò, Giovanni rimase profondamente costernato; poi catturò gli uomini inviati per sopprimerlo e li mise a morte. Aveva infatti saputo che cercavano di ucciderlo.	فلما سمع ذلك بهت جدا وقبض على الرجال الذين اتوا ليقتلوه وقتلهم لعلمه انهم يريدون اهلاكه
16:23	The rest of the acts of John and his wars and the brave deeds that he did, and the building of the walls that he completed, and his achievements,	Die weitere Geschichte Johanans, die Kriege, die er führte, die Taten, die er vollbrachte, auch wie er die Mauern bauen ließ und was er sonst unternahm -	Le altre azioni di Giovanni, le sue battaglie e gli atti di valore da lui compiuti, la ricostruzione delle mura da lui eseguita e le sue imprese, ecco stanno scritte negli annali del suo sommo sacerdozio, da quando divenne sommo sacerdote dopo la morte di suo padre.	و بقية اخبار يوحنا وحروبه وما ابداه من الحماسة وبناؤه الاسوار التي بناها واعماله
16:24	are written in the annals of his high priesthood, from the time that he became high priest after his father.	all das steht in der Chronik seines Hohenpriestertums geschrieben, von dem Tag an, da er anstelle seines Vaters Hoherpriester wurde.		مكتوبة في كتاب ايام كهنوته الاعظم منذ تقلد الكهنوت الاعظم بعد ابيه
