| 5:1 | When the Gentiles all around heard that the altar had been rebuilt and the sanctuary dedicated as it was before, they became very angry, | Als aber die Völker ringsum hörten, dass die Juden den Altar neu errichtet und das Heiligtum wieder geweiht hatten, sodass alles war wie früher, gerieten sie in heftigen Zorn. | I popoli vicini, quando sentirono che era stato ricostruito l'altare e rinnovato il santuario come prima, fremettero di rabbia | و لما سمعت الامم التي من حولهم ان قد بني المذبح ودشن المقدس كما كانا من قبل استشاطوا غضبا | |||||||||||
| 5:2 | and they determined to destroy the descendants of Jacob who lived among them. | 5:3 | But Judas made war on the descendants of Esau in Idumea, at Akrabattene, because they kept lying in wait for Israel. He dealt them a heavy blow and humbled them and despoiled them. | Da griff Judas die Nachkommen Esaus an, die jenen Teil Idumäas bewohnten, der Akrabattene heißt; sie hatten nämlich die Grenze nach Israel abgeriegelt. | 5:6 | Then he crossed over to attack the Ammonites, where he found a strong band and many people, with Timothy as their leader. | Dann zog er hinüber gegen die Ammoniter. | 5:9 | Now the Gentiles in Gilead gathered together against the Israelites who lived in their territory, and planned to destroy them. But they fled to the stronghold of Dathema, | Da rotteten sich die Völker des Landes Gilead gegen die Israeliten, die in ihrem Gebiet lebten, zusammen, um sie zu töten. | 5:11 | They are preparing to come and capture the stronghold to which we have fled, and Timothy is leading their forces. | Sie stehen bereit, um zu kommen und die Festung zu erobern, in die wir geflohen sind. | 5:13 | and all our kindred who were in the land of Tob have been killed; the enemy have captured their wives and children and goods, and have destroyed about a thousand persons there. | Auch unsere Brüder, die unter den Leuten von Tubi lebten, hat man umgebracht, ihre Frauen gefangen genommen, ihre Kinder und ihren Besitz geraubt. | 5:18 | But he left Joseph, son of Zechariah, and Azariah, a leader of the people, with the rest of the forces, in Judea to guard it; | Als Anführer des Volkes ließ er Josef, den Sohn Secharjas, und Asarja mit dem Rest des Heeres zur Bewachung Judäas zurück. | Lasciò Giuseppe figlio di Zaccaria e Azaria capo del popolo, con il resto delle forze a presidiare la Giudea, | و استخلف يوسف بن زكريا وعزريا قائدي الشعب مع بقية الجيش في اليهودية للمحافظة | |||||||||||

| 5:22 | He pursued them to the gate of Ptolemais; as many as three thousand of the Gentiles fell, and he despoiled them. | Er verfolgte sie bis an die Tore von Ptolemaïs. Von den fremden Völkern fielen ungefähr dreitausend Mann und Simeon machte reiche Beute bei ihnen. | egli li inseguì fino alle porte di Tolemàide. | 5:24 | Judas Maccabeus and his brother Jonathan crossed the Jordan and made three days' journey into the wilderness. | Judas, der Makkabäer, und sein Bruder Jonatan hatten indessen den Jordan überschritten und waren drei Tagesmärsche durch die Steppe gezogen. | Da parte loro Giuda Maccabeo e il fratello Giònata passarono il Giordano e camminarono per tre giorni nel deserto. | و اما يهوذا المكابي ويوناتان اخوه فعبرا الاردن وسارا مسيرة ثلاثة ايام في البرية | |||||||||||

| 5:28 | Then Judas and his army quickly turned back by the wilderness road to Bozrah; and he took the town, and killed every male by the edge of the sword; then he seized all its spoils and burned it with fire. | Da kehrte Judas mit seinem Heer überraschend um. | 5:30 | At dawn they looked out and saw a large company, which could not be counted, carrying ladders and engines of war to capture the stronghold, and attacking the Jews within. | Als sie gegen Morgen Ausschau hielten, da sahen sie ein unzählbar großes Heer; die Soldaten schleppten Sturmleitern und Belagerungsmaschinen heran, um die Festung zu erstürmen und gingen schon zum Angriff gegen die Juden über. | Verso il mattino alzarono gli occhi ed ecco gran folla che non si poteva contare issava scale e macchine per espugnare la fortezza e gia attaccava gli assediati. | و لما كان الصبح رفعوا ابصارهم فاذا بقوم كثيرين لا عدد لهم حاملين سلالم ومجانيق لفتح الحصن وهم محاصرون لهم | |||||||||||

| 5:34 | And when the army of Timothy realized that it was Maccabeus, they fled before him, and he dealt them a heavy blow. As many as eight thousand of them fell that day. | Sobald das Heer des Timotheus merkte, dass es der Makkabäer war, liefen sie vor ihm davon. | 5:38 | Judas sent men to spy out the camp, and they reported to him, All the Gentiles around us have gathered to him; it is a very large force. | Judas schickte Späher aus, die das Lager erkunden sollten. | 5:39 | They also have hired Arabs to help them, and they are encamped across the stream, ready to come and fight against you. And Judas went to meet them. | Auch arabische Hilfstruppen hat er angeworben. Sie haben auf der anderen Seite der Schlucht ihr Lager bezogen und stehen bereit, gegen dich zum Kampf auszurücken. Da zog Judas ihnen entgegen. | Anche gli Arabi sono assoldati come suoi ausiliari; sono accampati al di là del torrente e sono pronti a venire a battaglia con te». | 5:41 | But if he shows fear and camps on the other side of the river, we will cross over to him and defeat him. | Wenn er aber Angst hat und sein Lager jenseits des Baches aufschlägt, dann gehen wir zu ihm hinüber und werden ihn überwältigen. | Se invece si mostrerà titubante e porrà il campo al di là del fiume, andremo noi contro di lui e avremo la meglio». | و ان تخوف وحل في عبر النهر جزنا اليه وتغلبنا عليه | |||||||||||
