10:1	In the one hundred sixtieth year Alexander Epiphanes, son of Antiochus, landed and occupied Ptolemais. They welcomed him, and there he began to reign. 10:2	When King Demetrius heard of it, he assembled a very large army and marched out to meet him in battle.	Als König Demetrius das hörte, sammelte er viele Truppen und zog gegen ihn in den Kampf.	Quando lo seppe, il re Demetrio radunò un esercito molto grande e gli mosse contro per fargli guerra.	فسمع ديمتريوس الملك فجمع جيوشا كثيرة جدا وخرج لملاقاته في الحرب
10:3	Demetrius sent Jonathan a letter in peaceable words to honor him;	An Jonatan schickte Demetrius einen Brief mit Friedensbeteuerungen und versprach ihm hohe Würden.	Demetrio mandò anche lettere a Giònata con espressioni di amicizia per esaltarlo.	و انفذ ديمتريوس الى يوناتان كتبا في معنى السلم متقربا اليه بالاطراء
10:4	for he said to himself, Let us act first to make peace with him before he makes peace with Alexander against us,	Denn er dachte: Wir wollen schnell mit ihm Frieden schließen, bevor er sich mit Alexander gegen uns verbündet.	Diceva infatti: «Preveniamo costoro con la proposta di far pace con noi, prima che Giònata concluda un'alleanza con Alessandro contro tutti noi.	لانه قال لنسبق الى مسالمته قبل ان يسالم الاسكندر علينا
10:5	for he will remember all the wrongs that we did to him and to his brothers and his nation.	Sonst erinnert er sich nämlich an all das Unheil, das wir ihm, seinen Brüdern und seinem Volk angetan haben.	Si ricorderà certo di tutti i mali che abbiamo causati a lui, ai suoi fratelli e al suo popolo».	فانه سيذكر كل ما انزلنا به وباخوته وامته من المساوئ
10:6	So Demetrius gave him authority to recruit troops, to equip them with arms, and to become his ally; and he commanded that the hostages in the citadel should be released to him.	Er gab Jonatan die Vollmacht, Truppen auszuheben und als seine Verbündeten auszurüsten. Auch versprach er, die in der Burg von Jerusalem festgehaltenen Geiseln freizulassen.	Gli concesse facoltà di raccogliere milizie, di preparare armi e considerarsi suo alleato e gli fece restituire gli ostaggi che erano nell'Acra.	و اذن له ان يجمع جيوشا ويتجهز بالاسلحة ويكون مناصرا له وامر له برد الرهائن الذين في القلعة
10:7	Then Jonathan came to Jerusalem and read the letter in the hearing of all the people and of those in the citadel.	Jonatan kam nach Jerusalem und las den Brief der ganzen Bevölkerung und der Besatzung der Burg laut vor.	Giònata venne in Gerusalemme e lesse le lettere davanti a tutto il popolo e a quelli dell'Acra.	فجاء يوناتان الى اورشليم وتلا الكتب على مسامع الشعب كله واهل القلعة
10:8	They were greatly alarmed when they heard that the king had given him authority to recruit troops.	Als sie hörten, dass er vom König die Vollmacht erhalten hatte, Truppen auszuheben, bekamen sie große Angst.	Questi ebbero grande timore quando sentirono che il re gli aveva concesso facoltà di arruolare milizie.	فلما سمع ان الملك اذن له في جمع الجيوش جزعوا جزعا شديدا
10:9	But those in the citadel released the hostages to Jonathan, and he returned them to their parents.	Die Besatzung der Burg lieferte dem Jonatan die Geiseln aus und er gab sie ihren Eltern zurück.	Quelli dell'Acra restituirono gli ostaggi ed egli li rese ai loro genitori.	و رد اهل القلعة الرهائن الى يوناتان فردهم الى ذوي قرابتهم
10:10	And Jonathan took up residence in Jerusalem and began to rebuild and restore the city.	Jonatan ließ sich in Jerusalem nieder und begann in der Stadt mit Bauarbeiten und Ausbesserungen.	Giònata pose la residenza in Gerusalemme e incominciò a ricostruire e rinnovare la città.	و اقام يوناتان باورشليم وطفق يبني ويجدد المدينة
10:11	He directed those who were doing the work to build the walls and encircle Mount Zion with squared stones, for better fortification; and they did so.	Er gab den Handwerkern den Auftrag, den Berg Zion und die Stadtmauern mit Quadersteinen zu befestigen. Das führten sie auch aus.	Ordinò ai costruttori di edificare le mura e la cinta muraria del monte Sion con pietre quadrate per fortificazione, e così fecero.	و امر صناع العمل ان يبنوا الاسوار حول جبل صهيون بحجارة منحوتة للتحصين ففعلوا
10:12	Then the foreigners who were in the strongholds that Bacchides had built fled;	Darauf flohen die Fremden aus den Festungen, die Bakchides erbaut hatte.	Gli stranieri che stavano nelle fortezze edificate da Bàcchide fuggirono;	فهرب الغرباء الذين في الحصون التي بناها بكيديس
10:13	all of them left their places and went back to their own lands.	Sie machten sich alle davon und kehrten nach Hause zurück.	ognuno abbandonò la sua posizione e tornò alla sua terra;	و ترك كل واحد مكانه وذهب الى ارضه
10:14	Only in Beth-zur did some remain who had forsaken the law and the commandments, for it served as a place of refuge.	Nur in Bet-Zur blieben von denen, die vom Gesetz und von den Geboten abgefallen waren, einige zurück; dort fanden sie nämlich Zuflucht.	solo in Bet-Zur erano rimasti alcuni traditori della legge e dei comandamenti; fu quello il loro rifugio.	غير انه بقي في بيت صور قوم من المرتدين عن الشريعة والرسوم فانها كانت ملجا لهم
10:15	Now King Alexander heard of all the promises that Demetrius had sent to Jonathan, and he heard of the battles that Jonathan and his brothers had fought, of the brave deeds that they had done, and of the troubles that they had endured.	König Alexander erfuhr, was Demetrius Jonatan alles zugesichert hatte. Man berichtete ihm auch von den Kriegen und den Heldentaten Jonatans und seiner Brüder und von den zahlreichen Mühen, die sie auf sich genommen hatten. 10:16	So he said, Shall we find another such man? Come now, we will make him our friend and ally.	Da sagte er: Können wir noch einmal solch einen Mann finden wie ihn? Wir wollen ihn zu unserem Freund und Verbündeten machen.	e disse: «Troveremo un altro come lui? Facciamocelo amico e alleato».	فقال انا لا نجد من رجل يماثله فلنتخذه لنا وليا ومناصرا
10:17	And he wrote a letter and sent it to him, in the following words:	Er schrieb also einen Brief und schickte ihn an Jonatan. Der Brief hatte folgenden Inhalt:	Scrisse e spedì a lui questa lettera:	و كتب كتبا وبعث اليه بها في هذا المعنى قائلا
10:18	King Alexander to his brother Jonathan, greetings.	König Alexander grüßt seinen Bruder Jonatan.	«Il re Alessandro al fratello Giònata salute.	من الملك الاسكندر الى اخيه يوناتان سلام
10:19	We have heard about you, that you are a mighty warrior and worthy to be our friend.	Wir haben gehört, dass du ein tapferer Mann bist; du bist es wert, unser Freund zu sein.	Abbiamo sentito dire di te che sei uomo forte e potente e disposto ad essere nostro amico.	لقد بلغنا عنك انك رجل شديد الجبروت وخليق بان تكون لنا وليا
10:20	And so we have appointed you today to be the high priest of your nation; you are to be called the king's Friend and you are to take our side and keep friendship with us. He also sent him a purple robe and a golden crown.	Darum ernennen wir dich heute zum Hohenpriester über dein Volk; du darfst den Titel Freund des Königs führen. Halte zu uns und bewahre uns die Freundschaft! Zugleich übersandte er ihm den Purpurmantel und einen goldenen Kranz.	Noi dunque ti nominiamo oggi sommo sacerdote del tuo popolo e amico del re - gli aveva inviato anche la porpora e la corona d'oro - perché tu favorisca la nostra causa e mantenga amicizia con noi».	فنحن نقيمك اليوم كاهنا اعظم في امتك وتسمى ولي الملك وتهتم بما لنا وتبقى في مودتنا وارسل اليه ارجوانا وتاجا من ذهب
10:21	So Jonathan put on the sacred vestments in the seventh month of the one hundred sixtieth year, at the festival of booths, and he recruited troops and equipped them with arms in abundance.	Im siebten Monat des Jahres 160 legte Jonatan am Laubhüttenfest das heilige Gewand an. Er hob Truppen aus und verschaffte sich eine Menge Waffen.	Giònata indossò le vesti sacre nel settimo mese dell'anno centosessanta nella festa delle Capanne e arruolò soldati e fece preparare molte armi.	فلبس يوناتان الحلة المقدسة في الشهر السابع من السنة المئة والستين في عيد المظال وجمع الجيوش وتجهز باسلحة كثيرة
10:22	When Demetrius heard of these things he was distressed and said,	Als Demetrius davon hörte, war er bestürzt. Er sagte: Was haben wir da gemacht!	Demetrio venne a sapere queste cose e si rattristò e disse:	و ذكر ذلك لديمتريوس فشق عليه وقال
10:23	What is this that we have done? Alexander has gotten ahead of us in forming a friendship with the Jews to strengthen himself.	Alexander ist uns zuvorgekommen. Er hat die Freundschaft der Juden gewonnen, sodass sie ihn unterstützen.	«Perché abbiamo lasciato che Alessandro ci prevenisse nell'accaparrarsi l'amicizia dei Giudei a suo sostegno?	كيف تركنا الاسكندر يسبقنا الى مصافاة اليهود والتعزز بهم
10:24	I also will write them words of encouragement and promise them honor and gifts, so that I may have their help.	Doch ich will ihnen auch schreiben. Ich will ihnen gut zureden und versprechen, sie auszuzeichnen und zu beschenken. Vielleicht werden sie mich dann unterstützen.	Scriverò anch'io parole d'invito e proposte di onori e di doni, perché passino dalla nostra parte».	فاكتب انا ايضا اليهم بكلام ملاطفة وتعظيم واعدهم بعطايا ليكونوا من مناصري
10:25	So he sent a message to them in the following words: King Demetrius to the nation of the Jews, greetings.	Er schrieb ihnen also folgenden Brief: König Demetrius grüßt das jüdische Volk.	Scrisse loro in questi termini: «Il re Demetrio al popolo dei Giudei salute.	و كاتبهم بقوله من الملك ديمتريوس الى امة اليهود سلام
10:26	Since you have kept your agreement with us and have continued your friendship with us, and have not sided with our enemies, we have heard of it and rejoiced.	Ihr habt die Verträge, die ihr mit uns geschlossen habt, gehalten, habt uns die Freundschaft bewahrt und euch nicht unseren Feinden angeschlossen. Wir haben es vernommen und uns darüber gefreut.	Avete osservato le nostre alleanze e siete rimasti nella nostra amicizia e non siete passati ai nostri nemici: l'abbiamo saputo e ne siamo felici.	لقد بلغنا انكم محافظون على عهودكم لنا ثابتون في مودتنا ولم تتقربوا الى اعدائنا فسرنا ذلك
10:27	Now continue still to keep faith with us, and we will repay you with good for what you do for us.	Bleibt uns auch weiterhin treu! Wir werden euch das Gute vergelten, das ihr uns erweist.	Continuate dunque a mantenerci la vostra fedeltà e ricambieremo con favori quello che farete per noi.	فاثبتوا في المحافظة على وفائكم لنا فنحسن ثوابكم على ما تفعلون في حقنا
10:28	We will grant you many immunities and give you gifts.	Wir werden euch viele Verpflichtungen erlassen und euch Geschenke machen.	Vi concederemo ampie immunità e vi invieremo doni.	و نحط عنكم كثيرا مما لنا عليكم ونصلكم بالعطايا
10:29	I now free you and exempt all the Jews from payment of tribute and salt tax and crown levies,	Von heute an erkläre ich euch für frei und erlasse allen Juden die Kopfsteuer, die Salzsteuer und die Lieferung der Kränze.	Fin da ora dispenso voi ed esonero tutti i Giudei dal tributo e dalla tassa del sale e dalle corone.	و الان فاني اعفيكم واحط عن جميع اليهود كل جزية ومكس الملح والاكاليل وثلث الزرع
10:30	and instead of collecting the third of the grain and the half of the fruit of the trees that I should receive, I release them from this day and henceforth. I will not collect them from the land of Judah or from the three districts added to it from Samaria	Von heute an verzichte ich für immer auf den dritten Teil der Erträge der Felder und auf die Hälfte der Erträge der Bäume, die mir aus Judäa zustehen sowie aus den drei Bezirken Samariens und Galiläas, die an Judäa angeschlossen worden sind.	Rinuncio anche da oggi in poi a riscuotere dalla Giudea e dai tre distretti che le sono annessi, dalla Samaria e dalla Galilea, la terza parte del grano e la metà dei frutti degli alberi che mi spetta, da oggi per sempre.	و نصف اتاء الشجر الذي يحق لي اخذه اعفيكم من هذه الاشياء من اليوم فصاعد في ارض يهوذا وفي المدن الثلاث الملحقة بها من ارض السامرة والجليل من هذا اليوم على طول الزمان
10:31	Jerusalem and its environs, its tithes and its revenues, shall be holy and free from tax.	Jerusalem sei heilig und unantastbar und soll mit seiner Umgebung vom Zehnten und von der Steuer befreit sein.	Gerusalemme sia santa ed esente con il suo distretto e così siano sacre le decime e i tributi.	و لتكن اورشليم مقدسة وحرة هي وتخومها واحط عنها العشور والضرائب
10:32	I release also my control of the citadel in Jerusalem and give it to the high priest, so that he may station in it men of his own choice to guard it.	Ich verzichte auch auf die Befehlsgewalt über die Burg von Jerusalem. Ich gestatte dem Hohenpriester, selbst die Männer auszuwählen, die er als Wache in die Burg legen will.	Rinuncio anche al potere sull'Acra in Gerusalemme e la concedo al sommo sacerdote perché vi stabilisca uomini da lui scelti a presidiarla.	و اتخلى عن القلعة التي باورشليم واعطيها للكاهن الاعظم يقيم فيها من يختاره من الرجال لحراستها
10:33	And everyone of the Jews taken as a captive from the land of Judah into any part of my kingdom, I set free without payment; and let all officials cancel also the taxes on their livestock.	In meinem ganzen Reich lasse ich alle Juden, die als Gefangene aus Judäa verschleppt worden sind, ohne Lösegeld frei. Auch ihre Tiere darf niemand zum Frondienst heranziehen.	Rimetto in libertà senza compenso anche ogni persona giudea, fatta prigioniera fuori del paese di Giuda in tutti i miei domìni; tutti siano esonerati dai tributi, anche da quelli del bestiame.	و جميع النفوس التي سبيت من اليهود من ارض يهوذا في مملكتي باسرها اطلقها حرة بلا ثمن وليكن الجميع معفين من اتاوة المواشي
10:34	All the festivals and sabbaths and new moons and appointed days, and the three days before a festival and the three after a festival-let them all be days of immunity and release for all the Jews who are in my kingdom.	An allen Festen, Sabbaten, Neumonden und Feiertagen sowie drei Tage vor und nach einem Fest braucht kein Jude in meinem Reich Steuern oder Schulden zu bezahlen.	Tutte le feste e i sabati e i noviluni e il triduo prima e il triduo dopo la festa siano tutti giorni di esenzione e di immunità per tutti i Giudei che sono nel mio regno;	و لتكن الاعياد كلها والسبوت ورؤوس الشهور والايام المخصصة والايام الثلاثة التي قبل العيد والايام الثلاثة التي بعد العيد ايام ابراء وعفو لجميع اليهود الذين في مملكتي
10:35	No one shall have authority to exact anything from them or annoy any of them about any matter.	Niemand soll einen von ihnen in irgendeiner Sache belangen oder belästigen dürfen.	nessuno avrà il potere di intentare causa contro di loro o di disturbarli per alcun motivo.	فلا يكون لاحد ان يرافع احدا منهم او يثقل عليه في اي امر كان
10:36	Let Jews be enrolled in the king's forces to the number of thirty thousand men, and let the maintenance be given them that is due to all the forces of the king.	Bis zu dreißigtausend Juden sollen in das königliche Heer aufgenommen werden und den gleichen Sold erhalten wie alle anderen Soldaten des Königs.	Si potranno arruolare nell'esercito del re fino a tremila Giudei e sarà dato loro il soldo, come spetta a tutte le forze del re.	و ليكتتب من اليهود في جيوش الملك الى ثلاثين الف رجل تعطى لهم وظائف كما يحق لسائر جنود الملك
10:37	Let some of them be stationed in the great strongholds of the king, and let some of them be put in positions of trust in the kingdom. Let their officers and leaders be of their own number, and let them live by their own laws, just as the king has commande	Sie sollen auch in den großen Festungen des Königs Dienst tun und Vertrauensstellungen im Reich einnehmen. Ihre Offiziere und Befehlshaber sind aus ihren eigenen Reihen zu wählen. Sie dürfen nach ihren eigenen Gesetzen leben, ganz so, wie es der König für Judäa angeordnet hat.	Saranno posti di stanza alcuni di loro nelle più grandi fortezze del re, alcuni di loro saranno anche preposti agli affari di fiducia del regno; i loro superiori e i comandamenti saranno scelti tra di loro e potranno regolarsi secondo le loro leggi, come ha prescritto il re anche per la Giudea.	فيجعل منهم في حصون الملك العظيمة ويفوض الى البعض منهم النظر في مهام المملكة التي تقتضي الامانة ورؤساؤهم ومدبروهم يكونون من جملتهم ويسلكون بحسب سننهم كما امر الملك لارض يهوذا
10:38	As for the three districts that have been added to Judea from the country of Samaria, let them be annexed to Judea so that they may be considered to be under one ruler and obey no other authority than the high priest.	Die drei Bezirke, die von der Provinz Samarien abgetrennt und Judäa angeschlossen worden sind, sollen unter gemeinsamer Verwaltung zu Judäa gehören und nur dem Hohenpriester unterstellt sein.	I tre distretti assegnati alla Giudea, detraendoli dalla regione della Samaria, saranno riconosciuti dalla Giudea e considerati come sottoposti a uno solo e non dipendenti da altra autorità che non sia quella del sommo sacerdote.	و اما المدن الثلاث الملحقة باليهودية من بلاد السامرة فلتبق ملحقة باليهودية فتكون معها خاضعة لواحد ولا تطيع سلطانا اخر الا سلطان الكاهن الاعظم
10:39	Ptolemais and the land adjoining it I have given as a gift to the sanctuary in Jerusalem, to meet the necessary expenses of the sanctuary.	Ptolemaïs und das angrenzende Gebiet vermache ich als Geschenk dem Tempel von Jerusalem; daraus soll der nötige Aufwand für den Tempeldienst bestritten werden.	Assegno Tolemàide e le sue dipendenze come dono al tempio di Gerusalemme per le spese necessarie al santuario.	و قد وهبت بطلمايس وما يتبعها للمقدس الذي باورشليم لاجل نفقة الاقداس
10:40	I also grant fifteen thousand shekels of silver yearly out of the king's revenues from appropriate places.	Auf eigene Rechnung will ich aus geeigneten Orten jährlich fünfzehntausend Silberschekel aufbringen.	Io personalmente assegno ogni anno quindicimila sicli d'argento prelevati dai diritti del re sulle località più convenienti.	و زدت عليها خمسة عشر الف مثقال فضة كل سنة من دخل الملك من الاماكن التي تختص به
10:41	And all the additional funds that the government officials have not paid as they did in the first years, they shall give from now on for the service of the temple.	Alles, was die Behörden von den in den früheren Jahren üblichen Zuwendungen noch nicht bezahlt haben, sollen sie von nun an für die Arbeiten am Tempel zur Verfügung stellen.	Gli ulteriori contributi che non sono stati versati dagli incaricati come negli anni precedenti, d'ora in poi saranno corrisposti per le oprere del tempio.	و كل ما بقي مما لم يدفعه وكلاء المال عن السنين السالفة يؤدونه من الان لاعمال البيت
10:42	Moreover, the five thousand shekels of silver that my officials have received every year from the income of the services of the temple, this too is canceled, because it belongs to the priests who minister there.	Auch die fünftausend Silberschekel, die bisher vom Jahresaufkommen des Tempels als Steuer erhoben wurden, werden erlassen und sollen den diensttuenden Priestern zukommen.	Oltre a ciò i cinquemila sicli che venivano prelevati dall'ammontare delle entrate annuali del tempio sono anche condonati perché appartengono ai sacerdoti che vi prestano servizio.	و ما عدا ذلك فخمسة الاف مثقال الفضة التي كانت تؤخذ من دخل المقدس في كل سنة تترك رزقا للكهنة القائمين بالخدمة
10:43	And all who take refuge at the temple in Jerusalem, or in any of its precincts, because they owe money to the king or are in debt, let them be released and receive back all their property in my kingdom.	Jeder, der sich in das Heiligtum von Jerusalem flüchtet oder in das zum Tempel gehörende Gebiet, wird mit seinem ganzen Besitz, den er in meinem Reich hat, von jeder Schuld dem König gegenüber und von jeder anderen geschäftlichen Verpflichtung frei sein.	Chiunque si rifugerà nel tempio di Gerusalemme e nella sua zona con debiti da rendere al re o per qualunque motivo, sarà dichiarato libero con quanto gli appartiene nel mio regno.	و اي من لاذ بالمقدس في اورشليم في جميع حدوده وللملك عليه مال او اي حق كان فليعف وليبق له كل ما ملك في مملكتي
10:44	Let the cost of rebuilding and restoring the structures of the sanctuary be paid from the revenues of the king.	Die Kosten für die Arbeiten am Heiligtum, sowohl für Neubauten wie für Ausbesserungen, gehen zu Lasten des Königs,	Per le costruzioni e i restauri nel tempio le spese saranno sostenute dalla cassa del re.	و نفقة البناء واعمال الترميم في المقادس تعطى من حساب الملك
10:45	And let the cost of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem and fortifying it all around, and the cost of rebuilding the walls in Judea, also be paid from the revenues of the king.	ebenso gehen die Kosten für den Bau der Mauern in Jerusalem und für die Stadtmauern, die es umgeben, auf die Rechnung des Königs, schließlich auch die Mauerbauten in Judäa.	Anche per la costruzione delle mura e delle fortificazioni intorno a Gerusalemme le spese saranno sostenute dall'erario del re e così la costruzione di mura nella Giudea».	و بناء اسوار اورشليم وتحصينها على محيطها وبناء الاسوار في سائر اليهودية تعطى نفقته من حساب الملك
10:46	When Jonathan and the people heard these words, they did not believe or accept them, because they remembered the great wrongs that Demetrius had done in Israel and how much he had oppressed them.	Als Jonatan und das Volk diese Versprechungen hörten, glaubten sie ihnen nicht und gingen nicht darauf ein; denn sie dachten an das große Unheil, das er in Israel angerichtet, und in welche Not er sie gebracht hatte.	Quando Giònata e il popolo intesero simili espressioni, non vi prestarono fede e non le accettarono, ricordando le grandi iniquità da lui compiute contro Israele e quanto li avesse fatti soffrire.	فلما سمع يوناتان والشعب هذا الكلام لم يثقوا به ولا قبلوه لانهم تذكروا ما انزله ديمتريوس باسرائيل من الشر العظيم والضغط الشديد
10:47	They favored Alexander, because he had been the first to speak peaceable words to them, and they remained his allies all his days.	Sie hielten zu Alexander, weil er ihnen zuerst Frieden angeboten hatte, und sie kämpften die ganze Zeit auf seiner Seite. Dieser brachte ein großes Heer zusammen und schlug sein Lager bei Jamnia auf. Von dort schickte er dem Hohenpriester Jonatan diese Botschaft:	Demetrio affidò il governo della Celesiria ad Apollonio e questi raccolse un grande esercito, si accampò presso Iamnia e inviò al sommo sacerdote Giònata questo messaggio:	و فوض ديمتريوس قيادة الجيش الى ابلونيوس والى بقاع سورية فحشد جيشا عظيما ونزل بيمنيا وراسل يوناتان الكاهن الاعظم قائلا
10:70	You are the only one to rise up against us, and I have fallen into ridicule and disgrace because of you. Why do you assume authority against us in the hill country?	Nur du allein stellst dich gegen uns. Deinetwegen verlacht und verhöhnt man mich. Was maßt du dir uns gegenüber an in deinen Bergen?	«Soltanto tu ti sei alzato contro di noi e io sono diventato oggetto di derisione e di scherno a causa tua. 10:73	And now you will not be able to withstand my cavalry and such an army in the plain, where there is no stone or pebble, or place to flee. 10:74	When Jonathan heard the words of Apollonius, his spirit was aroused. He chose ten thousand men and set out from Jerusalem, and his brother Simon met him to help him. 10:77	When Apollonius heard of it, he mustered three thousand cavalry and a large army, and went to Azotus as though he were going farther. At the same time he advanced into the plain, for he had a large troop of cavalry and put confidence in it.	Das erfuhr Apollonius, der mit dreitausend Reitern und einem großen Heer ein Lager bezogen hatte. Er zog auf Aschdod zu, als wolle er durch die Stadt ziehen. Zugleich rückte er in die Ebene vor, weil er sich auf seine starke Reiterei verließ. 10:80	Jonathan learned that there was an ambush behind him, for they surrounded his army and shot arrows at his men from early morning until late afternoon.	Jonatan bemerkte den Hinterhalt, aber die Reiter umzingelten sein Heer und schossen vom frühen Morgen bis zum Abend mit Pfeilen auf seine Leute. Da die Reiterei erschöpft war, wurde das Heer von ihm in die Flucht geschlagen.	Allora Simone fece uscire le sue riserve e attaccò la falange e poiché la cavalleria ormai era esausta, quelli furono travolti e si diedero alla fuga;	حينئذ برز سمعان بجيشه والحم القتال على الفرقة لان الخيل كانت قد وهنت فكسرهم فهربوا
10:83	and the cavalry was dispersed in the plain. They fled to Azotus and entered Beth-dagon, the temple of their idol, for safety.	Die Reiterei wurde über die ganze Ebene hin zersprengt und floh nach Aschdod; sie gingen in den Tempel Dagons, ihres Götzenbildes, um sich zu retten.	i cavalieri si dispersero nella pianura e gli altri si rifugiarono in Asdòd ed entrarono in Bret-Dagon, il tempio del loro idolo, in cerca di scampo.	و تبددت الخيل في السهل وفروا الى اشدود ودخلوا بيت داجون معبد صنمهم لينجوا بنفوسهم
10:84	But Jonathan burned Azotus and the surrounding towns and plundered them; and the temple of Dagon, and those who had taken refuge in it, he burned with fire.	Jonatan steckte Aschdod und die Nachbarorte in Brand und plünderte sie; er brannte auch den Tempel des Dagon nieder mit allen, die sich dorthin geflüchtet hatten. 10:85	The number of those who fell by the sword, with those burned alive, came to eight thousand.	Es waren etwa achttausend Mann, die durch das Schwert oder im Feuer umkamen. 10:89	and he sent to him a golden buckle, such as it is the custom to give to the King's Kinsmen. He also gave him Ekron and all its environs as his possession.	Er übersandte ihm eine goldene Spange, wie man sie Angehörigen der königlichen Familie verleiht; auch übergab er ihm die Stadt Ekron mit ihrem ganzen Gebiet zum Besitz.	gli inviò la fibbia d'oro che si usa inviare ai parenti del re e gli diede in possesso Ekròn e tutto il suo territorio.	و بعث اليه بعروة من ذهب كما كان يعطى لانسباء الملوك ووهب له عقرون وتخومها ملكا
