2:1	In the eighteenth year, on the twenty-second day of the first month, there was talk in the palace of Nebuchadnezzar, king of the Assyrians, about carrying out his revenge on the whole region, just as he had said. 2:2	He summoned all his ministers and all his nobles and set before them his secret plan and recounted fully, with his own lips, all the wickedness of the region.				Er rief alle seine Minister und Generäle zusammen, hielt mit ihnen eine geheime Beratung ab und verfügte mit seinem Wort alles Unheil über die Erde. 2:3	They decided that every one who had not obeyed his command should be destroyed. 2:4	When he had completed his plan, Nebuchadnezzar, king of the Assyrians, called Holofernes, the chief general of his army, second only to himself, and said to him,				Als Nebukadnezzar, der König der Assyrer, die Beratung beendet hatte, bestellte er Holofernes zu sich, den Oberbefehlshaber seiner Truppen, der nach ihm den höchsten Rang einnahm, und sagte zu ihm:		Quando ebbe finito la consultazione, Nabucodònosor re degli Assiri chiamò Oloferne, generale supremo del suo esercito, che teneva il secondo posto dopo di lui, e gli disse:								Atatsiriza kufotokoza zolinga zake, Nebukadinezara adaitana Holofernesi, mtsogoleri wamkulu wa ankhondo ake, wachiŵiri kwa mfumu, namuuza kuti,		و اذ حسن ذلك لدى الجميع استدعى نبوكد نصر الملك اليفانا قائد جيشه
2:5	Thus says the Great King, the lord of the whole earth: Leave my presence and take with you men confident in their strength, one hundred twenty thousand foot soldiers and twelve thousand cavalry.				So spricht der Großkönig, der Herr der ganzen Erde: Du sollst von hier ausziehen und Männer mit dir nehmen, die auf ihren Mut vertrauen: hundertzwanzigtausend Mann Fußtruppen und ein Aufgebot von zwölftausend Pferden und Reitern.		«Questo dice il gran re, il signore di tutta la terra: Ecco tu uscirai come mio luogotenente e prenderai con te uomini valorosi: centoventimila fanti e un contingente di dodicimila cavalli con i loro cavalieri;								“Ine Nebukadinezara, mfumu yaikulu, mbuye wa dziko lonse lapansi, ndikukulamula kuti ukangochoka pano, utenge asilikali odziŵa kumenya nkhondo 120,000 oyenda pansi ndi 12,000 okwera pa akavalo.		و قال له اخرج على جميع ممالك الغرب وخصوصا الذين استهانوا باوامري
2:6	March out against all the land to the west, because they disobeyed my orders. 2:7	Tell them to prepare earth and water, for I am coming against them in my anger, and will cover the whole face of the earth with the feet of my troops, to whom I will hand them over to be plundered.				Befiehl ihnen, schon Erde und Wasser bereitzuhalten. Denn ich will in meinem Zorn gegen sie zu Felde ziehen; die ganze Erde werde ich mit den Füßen meiner Truppen bedecken und den Besitz der Menschen meinen Männern zur Plünderung preisgeben. 2:8	Their wounded shall fill their ravines and gullies, and the swelling river shall be filled with their dead.				Ihre Täler sollen sich mit Gefallenen füllen; jeder Bach und Fluss soll übervoll werden von Toten.		Quelli di loro che cadranno colpiti riempiranno le loro valli e ogni torrente e fiume sarà pieno dei loro cadaveri fino a straripare;								Zigwa zao zidzadzaza ndi ovulala ao, mitsinje yonse yaing'ono ndi yaikulu yomwe idzadzaza ndi mitembo mpaka kusefukira.		و سير امام جيوشه عددا لا يحصى من الجمال بما يكفي الجيش بكثرة ومن اصورة البقر وقطعان الغنم ما لا يحصى
2:9	I will lead them away captive to the ends of the whole earth.				Ihre Gefangenen will ich bis an die Grenzen der Erde verschleppen.		i loro prigionieri li spingerò fino agli estremi di tutta la terra.								Tsono otsala ndidzaŵatumiza ku ukapolo mpaka ku malire a dziko lapansi.		و امر ان تجمع الحنطة من كل سورية عند عبوره
2:10	You shall go and seize all their territory for me in advance. They must yield themselves to you, and you shall hold them for me until the day of their punishment.				Zieh also aus und erobere mir ihr ganzes Gebiet! Alle, die sich dir ergeben, sollst du mir aufbewahren für den Tag ihrer Bestrafung.		Tu dunque và e occupa per me tutto il loro paese e, quando si saranno arresi a te, li terrai a mia disposizione fino al giorno del loro castigo.								“Iwe pita tsopano, ukandigonjetsere maiko ao onse ine ndisanafike. Akakugonjera, uŵasunge mpaka nthaŵi itafika yoti ndidzaŵalange.		و اخذ من بيت الملك من الذهب والفضة شيئا كثيرا جدا
2:11	But to those who resist show no mercy, but hand them over to slaughter and plunder throughout your whole region.				Alle aber, die Widerstand leisten, sollst du schonungslos dem Tod und der Plünderung preisgeben in deinem ganzen Machtbereich.		Quanto ai ribelli, non abbia il tuo occhio compassione di destinarli alla morte e alla devastazione in tutto il territorio.								Koma akakachita mnjunju, usakaŵachitire chifundo, ukaŵaphe ndi kufunkha dziko lonselo.		ثم ارتحل بجميع جيشه ومراكبه وفرسانه وارباب القسي وكانوا يغطون وجه الارض كالجراد
2:12	For as I live, and by the power of my kingdom, what I have spoken I will accomplish by my own hand.				Bei meinem Leben und bei der Macht meines Königtums - ich habe gesprochen und ich werde meinen Entschluss ausführen.		Come è vero che vivo io e vive la potenza del mio regno, questo ho detto e questo farò di mia mano.								Ndikulumbira pali moyo wanga ndi mphamvu zanga, kuti zimene ndanenazi ndidzazichitadi monga momwe ndalumbiriramu.		فلما جاوز تخوم اشور انتهى الى جبال انجة العظيمة التي الى يسار قيليقية وزحف على جميع قلاعهم وتسلم كل الحصون
2:13	And you-take care not to transgress any of your lord's commands, but carry them out exactly as I have ordered you; do it without delay.				Du aber wag es nicht, auch nur einen einzigen Befehl deines Herrn zu übertreten. Erfülle, was ich dir befohlen habe; führ es unverzüglich aus!		Da parte tua bada di non trasgredire alcuna parola del tuo signore, ma eseguisci esattamente ciò che ti ho comandato e non indugiare a tradurre in atto i comandi». 2:14	So Holofernes left the presence of his lord, and summoned all the commanders, generals, and officers of the Assyrian army.				Holofernes ging von seinem Herrn weg und rief alle Befehlshaber, Feldherren und Hauptleute der assyrischen Truppen zusammen.		Oloferne uscì dalla corte del suo signore e convocò i comandanti, gli strateghi e gli ufficiali dell'esercito assiro;								Atalekana ndi mfumu, Holofernesi adaitana olamulira ankhondo, atsogoleri ndi akuluakulu a ankhondo a Aasiriya.		ثم عبر الفرات واتى الى ما بين النهرين وقهر جميع ما هناك من المدن المشيدة من وادي ممرا الى حد البحر

2:17	He took along a vast number of camels and donkeys and mules for transport, and innumerable sheep and oxen and goats for food;				Für den Transport der Kriegsgeräte beschaffte er sich eine gewaltige Menge von Kamelen, Eseln und Maultieren; außerdem brachte er eine unübersehbare Herde von Schafen, Rindern und Ziegen für ihre Verpflegung zusammen,		Prese poi cammelli e asini e muli in dotazione alle truppe, in numero grandissimo, e ancora pecore e buoi e capre in quantità innumerevole per il loro vettovagliamento. 2:18	also ample rations for everyone, and a huge amount of gold and silver from the royal palace.				dazu reichlich Proviant für alle und sehr viel Gold und Silber aus dem Palast des Königs.		Provvide ancora razioni in abbondanza per ciascun uomo e gran rifornimento d'oro e d'argento dal tesoro del re.								Adatenganso zofunika zina zonse za ankhondo akewo, ndiponso golide wambiri ndi siliva kuchokera ku nyumba ya mfumu.		فوقع رعبه على جميع سكان الارض
2:19	Then he set out with his whole army, to go ahead of King Nebuchadnezzar and to cover the whole face of the earth to the west with their chariots and cavalry and picked foot soldiers.				Darauf setzte er sich mit seinem ganzen Heer in Marsch, um dem König Nebukadnezzar voranzuziehen und alle Länder im Westen mit seinen Wagen, Reitern und Elitetruppen zu überfluten.		Partirono dunque lui e tutte le sue truppe per iniziare la spedizione e precedere il re Nabucodònosor e ricoprire la terra occidentale con i loro carri e i cavalieri e la fanteria scelta. Adafuna kuti likaphimbe dziko lonse lakuzambwe ndi magaleta ankhondo ndi anthu okwera akavalo ndi oyenda pansi.
2:20	Along with them went a mixed crowd like a swarm of locusts, like the dust of the earth-a multitude that could not be counted. 2:21	They marched for three days from Nineveh to the plain of Bectileth, and camped opposite Bectileth near the mountain that is to the north of Upper Cilicia. 2:25	He also seized the territory of Cilicia, and killed everyone who resisted him. Then he came to the southern borders of Japheth, facing Arabia. 2:27	Then he went down into the plain of Damascus during the wheat harvest, and burned all their fields and destroyed their flocks and herds and sacked their towns and ravaged their lands and put all their young men to the sword.
