11:3	and to levy tribute on the temple as he did on the sacred places of the other nations, and to put up the high priesthood for sale every year.	das Heiligtum ebenso wie die heidnischen Kultstätten zu besteuern und das Amt des Hohenpriesters jedes Jahr für Geld auszuschreiben.	di imporre tasse al tempio come agli altri edifici di culto dei pagani e di mettere in vendita ogni anno il sommo sacerdozio. 11:4	He took no account whatever of the power of God, but was elated with his ten thousands of infantry, and his thousands of cavalry, and his eighty elephants.	Doch rechnete er überhaupt nicht mit der Macht Gottes, sondern stützte seine Überlegungen allein auf die Zehntausende von Fußtruppen, die Tausende von Reitern und seine achtzig Elefanten. 11:6	When Maccabeus and his men got word that Lysias was besieging the strongholds, they and all the people, with lamentations and tears, prayed the Lord to send a good angel to save Israel.	Als die Leute des Makkabäers von der Belagerung der Festung erfuhren, flehten sie mit dem ganzen Volk unter Klagen und Weinen den Herrn an, er möge doch einen guten Engel schicken, um Israel zu retten.	Quando gli uomini del Maccabeo vennero a sapere che quegli assediava le fortezze, tra gemiti e lacrime supplicarono con tutto il popolo il Signore che inviasse il suo angelo buono a salvare Israele. 11:7	Maccabeus himself was the first to take up arms, and he urged the others to risk their lives with him to aid their kindred. Then they eagerly rushed off together.	Der Makkabäer griff als erster nach den Waffen und hielt eine anfeuernde Rede an die anderen: Sie sollten, zusammen mit ihm, die Gefahr auf sich nehmen und ihren Brüdern zu Hilfe eilen. Geschlossen und voll Kampfesmut brachen sie auf. 11:8	And there, while they were still near Jerusalem, a horseman appeared at their head, clothed in white and brandishing weapons of gold.	Sie waren noch in der Nähe von Jerusalem, da erschien ihnen ein Reiter und zog in einem weißen Gewand und einer blinkenden goldenen Waffenrüstung vor ihnen her. 11:9	And together they all praised the merciful God, and were strengthened in heart, ready to assail not only humans but the wildest animals or walls of iron.	Gemeinsam priesen sie den barmherzigen Gott und ihr Mut wurde so groß, dass sie bereit gewesen wären, nicht nur Menschen, sondern auch die wildesten Tiere und eiserne Mauern zusammenzuschlagen.	Tutti insieme benedissero Dio misericordioso e si sentirono così rafforzati in cuore, che erano pronti ad assalire non solo gli uomini ma anche le bestie più feroci e mura di ferro. 11:10	They advanced in battle order, having their heavenly ally, for the Lord had mercy on them.	Sie rückten mit ihrem himmlischen Bundesgenossen, zum Kampf bereit, vor; denn der Herr hatte Erbarmen mit ihnen. 11:11	They hurled themselves like lions against the enemy, and laid low eleven thousand of them and sixteen hundred cavalry, and forced all the rest to flee.	Sie stürzten sich wie Löwen auf die Feinde und erschlugen elftausend von ihnen, dazu sechzehnhundert Reiter. 11:12	Most of them got away stripped and wounded, and Lysias himself escaped by disgraceful flight.	die meisten davon waren verwundet und konnten nur das nackte Leben retten. Auch Lysias selbst konnte sich nur durch eine schimpfliche Flucht retten.	Costoro in gran parte riuscirono a salvarsi feriti e spogliati. 11:13	As he was not without intelligence, he pondered over the defeat that had befallen him, and realized that the Hebrews were invincible because the mighty God fought on their side. So he sent to them	Da Lysias jedoch nicht ohne Verstand war und über die erlittene Niederlage nachdachte, begriff er, dass die Hebräer unbesiegbar waren, weil der starke Gott auf ihrer Seite kämpfte. 11:14	and persuaded them to settle everything on just terms, promising that he would persuade the king, constraining him to be their friend.	Darum schickte er Unterhändler, die auf einen Friedensvertrag drängen und jeder annehmbaren Bedingung zustimmen sollten; er ließ sagen, er wolle auch dem König sehr zureden, mit ihnen Freundschaft zu schließen.	mandò a proporre un accordo su tutto ciò che fosse giusto, assicurando che a questo scopo avrebbe persuaso il re, facendo pressione su di lui perché diventasse loro amico.	kukaŵachonderera kuti avomerezane za kugwirizananso mwachilungamo. 11:15	Maccabeus, having regard for the common good, agreed to all that Lysias urged. For the king granted every request in behalf of the Jews which Maccabeus delivered to Lysias in writing.	Der Makkabäer ging auf alle Vorschläge des Lysias ein, ohne indes seinen Vorteil zu vernachlässigen. Alle Forderungen, die er für die Juden stellte und dem Lysias schriftlich vorlegte, nahm der König an.	Il Maccabeo, badando a ciò che più conveniva, acconsentì a tutto quanto Lisia chiedeva. Quanto infatti il Maccabeo aveva presentato a Lisia per iscritto a riguardo dei Giudei, fu accordato dal re. 11:16	The letter written to the Jews by Lysias was to this effect: Lysias to the people of the Jews, greetings.	Lysias schrieb an die Juden einen Brief, der folgenden Inhalt hatte: Lysias grüßt das jüdische Volk. 11:17	John and Absalom, who were sent by you, have delivered your signed communication and have asked about the matters indicated in it.	Eure Abgesandten Johanan und Abschalom haben euer Antwortschreiben vorgelegt, das unten beigefügt ist, und mich gebeten, die darin geäußerten Forderungen zu genehmigen.	«Lisia al popolo dei Giudei salute. Giovanni e Assalonne, inviati da voi, ci hanno consegnato la decisione qui sotto riportata e hanno chiesto la ratifica dei punti in essa dichiarati. 11:18	I have informed the king of everything that needed to be brought before him, and he has agreed to what was possible. 11:20	And concerning such matters and their details, I have ordered these men and my representatives to confer with you. 11:22	The king's letter ran thus: King Antiochus to his brother Lysias, greetings.	Im Brief des Königs stand dies: König Antiochus grüßt seinen Bruder Lysias. 11:23	Now that our father has gone on to the gods, we desire that the subjects of the kingdom be undisturbed in caring for their own affairs.	Nachdem unser Vater zu den Göttern hinübergegangen ist, wollen wir, dass die Untertanen des Reichs ungestört ihren Beschäftigungen nachgehen können. 11:24	We have heard that the Jews do not consent to our father's change to Greek customs, but prefer their own way of living and ask that their own customs be allowed them.	Andererseits haben wir erfahren, dass die Juden mit der von meinem Vater gewünschten Übernahme griechischer Sitten nicht einverstanden sind, es vielmehr vorziehen, auf ihre eigene Art zu leben, und verlangen, dass man ihnen wieder gestattet, ihren Gewohnheiten zu folgen.	e, avendo sentito che i Giudei, non favorevoli al disegno di ellenizzazione di nostro padre, attaccati invece al loro sistema di vita, chiedono di potersi attenere alle proprie leggi,	Tidamva zoti Ayuda safuna kutsata Chigriki, monga m'mene atate athu ankafunira, koma akufunitsitsa kusunga miyambo yao ndi mazoloŵero ao.	و اذ قد بلغنا ان اليهود غير راضين بما امرهم والدنا من التحول الى سنن اليونان لكنهم متمسكون بمذهبهم ولذلك يسالون انتباح لهم سننهم
11:25	Accordingly, since we choose that this nation also should be free from disturbance, our decision is that their temple be restored to them and that they shall live according to the customs of their ancestors.	Wir beschließen darum, dass auch dieses Volk ungestört bleibt, und verfügen, dass man ihnen ihr Heiligtum zurückgibt und dass sie ihr Leben so einrichten können, wie es schon zur Zeit ihrer Vorfahren Brauch war.	desiderosi a nostra volta che anche questo popolo sia libero da turbamenti, decretiamo che il tempio sia loro restituito e si governino secondo le tradizioni dei loro antenati. 11:26	You will do well, therefore, to send word to them and give them pledges of friendship, so that they may know our policy and be of good cheer and go on happily in the conduct of their own affairs.	Du wirst nun am besten zu ihnen Gesandte schicken und ihnen die Hand zum Frieden reichen, damit sie die Grundlinien unserer Politik erkennen, Vertrauen fassen und ihre Angelegenheiten zu ihrer Zufriedenheit regeln können. 11:27	To the nation the king's letter was as follows: King Antiochus to the senate of the Jews and to the other Jews, greetings.	Der Brief des Königs an das Volk lautete so: König Antiochus grüßt den Rat und alle übrigen Juden.	La lettera del re indirizzata al popolo era così concepita: «Il re Antioco al consiglio degli anziani dei Giudei e agli altri Giudei salute.	Kalata ya mfumu kwa Ayuda inali yotere: “Ine, Mfumu Antioko, ndikupereka moni kwa akulu a Ayuda ndi kwa Ayuda ena onse.	و هذه رسالة الملك الى الامة من الملك انطيوكس الى مشيخة اليهود وسائر اليهود سلام
11:28	If you are well, it is as we desire. We also are in good health.	Wir hoffen, dass es euch gut geht; auch wir erfreuen uns guter Gesundheit. 11:29	Menelaus has informed us that you wish to return home and look after your own affairs.	Menelaus hat uns wissen lassen, dass ihr nach Hause zu eurer Arbeit zurückkehren wollt. 11:31	for the Jews to enjoy their own food and laws, just as formerly, and none of them shall be molested in any way for what may have been done in ignorance.	dass die Juden ihre gewohnten Speisevorschriften und Gesetze befolgen dürfen; keiner von ihnen darf dabei irgendwie belangt werden für Vergehen, die er in Unkenntnis der Verhältnisse begangen hat.	di usare, come Giudei, delle loro regole alimentari e delle loro leggi come prima e nessuno di loro potrà essere molestato da alcuno per le mancanze commesse per ignoranza.
