16:1	Judith began this thanksgiving before all Israel, and all the people loudly sang this song of praise. And Judith said, Begin a song to my God with tambourines, sing to my Lord with cymbals. Raise to him a new psalm; exalt him, and call upon his name.	Judit sang: Stimmt ein Lied an für meinen Gott unter Paukenschall, singt für den Herrn unter Zimbelklang! Preist ihn und singt sein Lob, rühmt seinen Namen und ruft ihn an!	«Lodate il mio Dio con i timpani, cantate al Signore con cembali, elevate a lui l'accordo del salmo e della lode; esaltate e invocate il suo nome. Giuditta disse:	حينئذ انشدت يهوديت هذا النشيد للرب فقالت
16:2	For the Lord is a God who crushes wars; he sets up his camp among his people; he delivered me from the hands of my pursuers.	Denn der Herr ist ein Gott, der den Kriegen ein Ende setzt; er führte mich heim in sein Lager inmitten des Volkes und rettete mich aus der Gewalt der Feinde.	Poiché il Signore è il Dio che stronca le guerre; egli mi ha riportata nel suo accampamento in mezzo al suo popolo, mi ha salvata dalle mani dei miei persecutori.	سبحوا الرب بالدفوف رنموا للرب على الصنوج انشدوا له انشادا جديدا عظموه وادعوا باسمه
16:3	The Assyrian came down from the mountains of the north; he came with myriads of his warriors; their numbers blocked up the wadis, and their cavalry covered the hills.	Assur kam von den Bergen des Nordens mit seiner unzählbaren Streitmacht; die Masse der Truppen verstopfte die Täler, sein Reiterheer bedeckte die Hügel.	Calò Assur dai monti, giù da settentrione, calò con le torme dei suoi armati, il suo numero ostruì i torrenti, i suoi cavalli coprirono i colli.	الرب يمحق الحروب الرب اسمه
16:4	He boasted that he would burn up my territory, and kill my young men with the sword, and dash my infants to the ground, and seize my children as booty, and take my virgins as spoil.	Brandschatzen wollten sie mein Gebiet, die Jugend morden mit scharfem Schwert, den zarten Säugling am Boden zerschmettern, die Kinder als Beute verschleppen, als billigen Raub die Mädchen entführen.	Affermò di bruciare il mio paese, di stroncare i miei giovani con la spada, di schiacciare al suolo i miei lattanti, di prender come preda i miei fanciulli, di rapire le mie vergini.	جعل معسكره في وسط شعبه لينقذنا من ايدي جميع اعدائنا
16:5	But the Lord Almighty has foiled them by the hand of a woman.	Doch der Herr, der Allmächtige, gab sie preis, er gab sie der Vernichtung preis durch die Hand einer Frau.	Il Signore onnipotente li ha rintuzzati per mano di donna!	اتى اشور من الجبال الشمالية اتى في كثرة قوته فسدت كثرته الاودية وخيوله غطت الوهاد
16:6	For their mighty one did not fall by the hands of the young men, nor did the sons of the Titans strike him down, nor did tall giants set upon him; but Judith daughter of Merari with the beauty of her countenance undid him.	Ihr Held fiel nicht durch die Kraft junger Männer, nicht Söhne von Riesen erschlugen ihn, noch traten ihm hohe Recken entgegen. Nein, Judit, Meraris Tochter, bannte seine Macht mit dem Reiz ihrer Schönheit. 16:7	For she put away her widow's clothing to exalt the oppressed in Israel. She anointed her face with perfume;	Sie legte ihr Witwengewand ab, um den Bedrängten in Israel zu helfen. Sie salbte ihr Gesicht mit duftendem Öl,	Essa depose la veste di vedova per sollievo degli afflitti in Israele, si unse con aroma il volto,	الرب القدير ضربه واسلمه الى يد امراة فطعنته
16:8	she fastened her hair with a tiara and put on a linen gown to beguile him.	sie schmückte ihre Haare mit einem Diadem und zog ein Leinenkleid an, um ihn zu verführen.	cinse del diadema i capelli, indossò una veste di lino per sedurlo.	ان جبارهم لم يسقط بايدي الشبان ولم يبطش به بنو طيطان ولا جبابرة طوال تعرضوا له بل يهوديت ابنة مراري بجمال وجهها اهلكته
16:9	Her sandal ravished his eyes, her beauty captivated his mind, and the sword severed his neck!	Ihre Sandalen bezauberten sein Auge. So schlug ihre Schönheit sein Herz in Bann. Das Schwert traf seinen Nacken mit Wucht.	I suoi sandali rapirono i suoi occhi la sua bellezza avvinse il suo cuore e la scimitarra gli troncò il collo.	نزعت ثياب ارمالها وتردت بثياب فرحها لابتهاج بني اسرائيل
16:10	The Persians trembled at her boldness, the Medes were daunted at her daring.	Die Perser erschraken vor ihrer Kühnheit, die Meder erstarrten vor ihrem Mut.	I Persiani rabbrividirono per il suo coraggio, per la sua forza raccapricciarono i Medi.	دهنت وجهها بالطيب وضمت ضفائرها بالتاج ولبست حللها الفاخرة لتفتنه
16:11	Then my oppressed people shouted; my weak people cried out, and the enemy trembled; they lifted up their voices, and the enemy were turned back.	Jubel erfüllte mein armes Volk - sie aber gerieten in Schrecken. Die Meinen waren schwach - sie aber packte Entsetzen. Die einen stimmten den Schlachtruf an - die anderen ergriffen die Flucht.	Allora i miei poveri alzarono il grido di guerra e quelli si spaventarono; i miei deboli alzarono il grido e quelli furono sconvolti; gettarono alte grida e quelli volsero in fuga.	بهاء حذائها خطف ابصاره وجمالها اسر نفسه فقطعت بالخنجر عنقه
16:12	Sons of slave-girls pierced them through and wounded them like the children of fugitives; they perished before the army of my Lord.	Erbärmliches Volk! Man stieß sie nieder und schlug sie nieder wie Kinder von Ehebrecherinnen; sie kamen um durch das Heer meines Herrn.	Come figli di donnicciuole li trafissero, li trapassarono come disertori, perirono sotto le schiere del mio Signore.	ارتاعت فارس من ثباتها والماديون من جراتها
16:13	I will sing to my God a new song: O Lord, you are great and glorious, wonderful in strength, invincible.	Ich singe meinem Gott ein neues Lied; Herr, du bist groß und voll Herrlichkeit. Wunderbar bist du in deiner Stärke, keiner kann dich übertreffen.	Innalzerò al mio Dio un canto nuovo: Signore, grande sei tu e glorioso, mirabile nella tua potenza e invincibile.	حينئذ اعولت محلة الاشوريين عندما ظهر متواضعي ملتهبين من العطش
16:14	Let all your creatures serve you, for you spoke, and they were made. You sent forth your spirit, and it formed them; there is none that can resist your voice.	Dienen muss dir deine ganze Schöpfung. Denn du hast gesprochen und alles entstand. Du sandtest deinen Geist, um den Bau zu vollenden. Kein Mensch kann deinem Wort widerstehen.	Ti sia sottomessa ogni tua creatura: perché tu dicesti e tutte le cose furon fatte; mandasti il tuo spirito e furono costruite e nessuno può resistere alla tua voce.	بنو الجواري اثخنوهم وقتلوهم كانهم صبية منهزمون فهلكوا في القتال بين يدي الرب الهي
16:15	For the mountains shall be shaken to their foundations with the waters; before your glance the rocks shall melt like wax. But to those who fear you you show mercy.	Meere und Berge erbeben in ihrem Grund, vor dir zerschmelzen die Felsen wie Wachs. Doch wer dich fürchtet, der erfährt deine Gnade.	I monti sulle loro basi insieme con le acque sussulteranno, davanti a te le rocce si struggeranno come cera; ma a coloro che ti temono tu sarai sempre propizio.	فلنسبح الرب تسبيحا ونرنم نشيدا جديدا لالهنا
16:16	For every sacrifice as a fragrant offering is a small thing, and the fat of all whole burnt offerings to you is a very little thing; but whoever fears the Lord is great forever.	Zu gering ist jedes Opfer, um dich zu erfreuen, alle Fettstücke sind nichts beim Opfer für dich. Wer den Herrn fürchtet, der ist groß für immer.	Poca cosa è per te ogni sacrificio in soave odore, non basta quanto è pingue per farti un olocausto; ma chi teme il Signore è sempre grande.	ايها الرب ادوناي انك عظيم شهير بجبروتك ولا يقوى عليك احد
16:17	Woe to the nations that rise up against my people! The Lord Almighty will take vengeance on them in the day of judgment; he will send fire and worms into their flesh; they shall weep in pain forever.	Doch weh den Völkern, die mein Volk bekämpfen. Am Tag des Gerichts straft sie der allmächtige Herr, er schickt Feuer und Würmer in ihr Gebein; in Ewigkeit sollen sie heulen vor Schmerz.	Guai alle genti che insorgono contro il mio popolo: il Signore onnipotente li punirà nel giorno del giudizio, immettendo fuoco e vermi nelle loro carni, e piangeranno nel tormento per sempre».	اياك فلتعبد خليقتك باسرها لانك انت قلت فكانوا ارسلت روحك فخلقوا وليس من يقاوم كلمتك
16:18	When they arrived at Jerusalem, they worshiped God. As soon as the people were purified, they offered their burnt offerings, their freewill offerings, and their gifts.	Als sie nach Jerusalem gekommen waren, warfen sie sich vor Gott zum Gebet nieder. Die Leute reinigten sich und brachten ihre Brandopfer, ihre freiwilligen Opfer und ihre sonstigen Gaben dar.	Quando giunsero a Gerusalemme si prostrarono ad adorare Dio e, appena il popolo fu purificato, offrirono i loro olocausti e le offerte spontanee e i doni.	تهتز الجبال من اساسها مع المياه والصخور كالشمع تذوب امام وجهك
16:19	Judith also dedicated to God all the possessions of Holofernes, which the people had given her; and the canopy that she had taken for herself from his bedchamber she gave as a votive offering.	Judit stiftete dem Heiligtum alles, was ihr das Volk aus der Beute des Holofernes überlassen hatte. Auch das Mückennetz, das sie aus seinem Schlafgemach mitgenommen hatte, schenkte sie Gott als Weihegabe.	Giuditta dedicò tutti gli oggetti di Oloferne, che il popolo le aveva dati, e anche la cortina che aveva presa direttamente dal letto di lui, come offerta consacrata a Dio.	و الذين يتقونك يكونون اعزة عندك في كل شيء
16:20	For three months the people continued feasting in Jerusalem before the sanctuary, and Judith remained with them.	Drei Monate lang feierte das Volk vor dem Heiligtum in Jerusalem ein Freudenfest und Judit blieb bei ihnen.	Il popolo continuò a far festa in Gerusalemme vicino al tempio per tre mesi e Giuditta rimase con loro.	الويل للامة القائمة على شعبي الرب القدير ينتقم منهم وفي يوم الدينونة يفتقدهم
16:21	After this they all returned home to their own inheritances. Judith went to Bethulia, and remained on her estate. For the rest of her life she was honored throughout the whole country.	Nach Ablauf dieser Zeit kehrte jeder in seinen Erbbesitz zurück. Judit ging nach Betulia und blieb auf ihrem Anwesen. Solange sie lebte, war sie im ganzen Land hochgerühmt.	Dopo quei giorni, ognuno tornò nella propria sede ereditaria; Giuditta tornò a Betulia e dimorò nella sua proprietà e divenne famosa in tutta la terra durante la sua vita.	يجعل لحومهم للنار والدود لكي يحترقوا ويتالموا الى الابد
16:22	Many desired to marry her, but she gave herself to no man all the days of her life after her husband Manasseh died and was gathered to his people.	Viele hätten sie gern zur Frau gehabt; aber seit ihr Gatte Manasse gestorben und zu seinen Vätern gerufen war, durfte kein Mann sie mehr berühren ihr Leben lang.	Molti ne erano anche invaghiti, ma nessun uomo potè avvicinarla per tutti i giorni della sua vita da quando suo marito Manàsse morì e fu riunito al suo popolo.	و كان بعد هذا ان جميع الشعب بعد غلبتهم جاءوا الى اورشليم ليسجدوا للرب ولما تطهروا قدموا جميعهم محرقاتهم ونذورهم واوعادهم
16:23	She became more and more famous, and grew old in her husband's house, reaching the age of one hundred five. She set her maid free. She died in Bethulia, and they buried her in the cave of her husband Manasseh;	Sie erlebte ein sehr hohes Alter und wurde im Haus ihres Mannes hundertfünf Jahre alt. Ihrer Dienerin schenkte sie die Freiheit. Sie starb in Betulia und man bestattete sie in der Grabhöhle ihres Gatten Manasse.	Essa andò molto avanti negli anni protraendo la vecchiaia nella casa del marito fino a centocinque anni: alla sua ancella preferita aveva concesso la libertà. Morì in Betulia e la seppellirono nella grotta sepolcrale del marito Manàsse	و يهوديت ايضا قدمت جميع ادوات حرب اليفانا التي اعطاها لها الشعب والخيمة التي اخذتها من سريره ابسال نسيان
16:24	and the house of Israel mourned her for seven days. Before she died she distributed her property to all those who were next of kin to her husband Manasseh, and to her own nearest kindred.	Das Haus Israel betrauerte sie sieben Tage lang. Vor ihrem Tod hatte sie noch ihren Besitz an alle Verwandten ihres Gatten Manasse und an die Angehörigen ihrer eigenen Familie verteilt.	e la casa d'Israele la pianse sette giorni. Prima di morire aveva diviso i suoi beni tra i parenti più stretti di Manàsse suo marito e tra i parenti più stretti della sua famiglia.	و كان الشعب مسرورين بمشاهدة المقدسات وعيدوا لفرح هذه الغلبة مع يهوديت ثلاثة اشهر
16:25	No one ever again spread terror among the Israelites during the lifetime of Judith, or for a long time after her death.	Niemand aber wagte mehr, die Israeliten zu beunruhigen, solange Judit lebte und auch noch lange Zeit nach ihrem Tod.	Né vi fu più nessuno che incutesse timore agli Israeliti finché visse Giuditta e per un lungo periodo dopo la sua morte.	و بعد تلك الايام رجع كل واحد الى بيته وعظمت يهوديت في بيت فلوى جدا وكانت اجل من في جميع ارض اسرائيل
