| 4:1 | Therefore when Tobias thought that his prayer was heard that he might die, he called to him Tobias his son, | An diesem Tag erinnerte sich Tobit an das Geld, das er in der Stadt Rages in Medien bei Gabaël hinterlegt hatte. | In quel giorno Tobi si ricordò del denaro che aveva depositato presso Gabael in Rage di Media | و اذ خال طوبيا ان قد استجيبت صلاته وتهيا له ان يموت استدعى اليه طوبيا ابنه | |||||||||||
| 4:2 | And said to him: Hear, my son, the words of my mouth, and lay them as a foundation in thy heart. | Er dachte: Ich habe mir den Tod gewünscht. Warum soll ich nicht meinen Sohn Tobias rufen und ihm von dem Geld erzählen, bevor ich sterbe? | e pensò: «Ho invocato la morte. Perché dunque non dovrei chiamare mio figlio Tobia e informarlo, prima di morire, di questa somma di denaro?». | و قال له اسمع يا بني كلمات في واجعلها في قلبك مثل الاساس | |||||||||||
| 4:3 | When God shall take my soul, thou shalt bury my body: and thou shalt honour thy mother all the days of her life: | Er rief ihn also und sagte: Mein Sohn, wenn ich gestorben bin, begrab mich! Lass deine Mutter nicht im Stich, sondern halte sie in Ehren, solange sie lebt. Tu, was sie erfreut, und mach ihr keinen Kummer! | Chiamò il figlio e gli disse: «Qualora io muoia, dammi una sepoltura decorosa; onora tua madre e non abbandonarla per tutti i giorni della sua vita; fà ciò che è di suo gradimento e non procurarle nessun motivo di tristezza. | اذا قبض الله نفسي فادفن جسدي واكرم والدتك جميع ايام حياتها | |||||||||||
| 4:4 | For thou must be mindful what and how great perils she suffered for thee in her womb. | Denk daran, mein Sohn, dass sie deinetwegen viel Beschwerden hatte, als sie dich in ihrem Schoß trug. Wenn sie gestorben ist, begrab sie an meiner Seite im selben Grab! | Ricordati, figlio, che ha corso tanti pericoli per te, quando eri nel suo seno. Quando morirà, dalle sepoltura presso di me in una medesima tomba. | و اذكر ما المشقات التي عانتها لاجلك في جوفها وما كان اشدها | |||||||||||
| 4:5 | And when she also shall have ended the time of her life, bury her by me. | Denk alle Tage an den Herrn, unseren Gott, mein Sohn, und hüte dich davor, zu sündigen und seine Gebote zu übertreten. Handle gerecht, solange du lebst; geh nicht auf den Wegen des Unrechts! | Ogni giorno, o figlio, ricordati del Signore; non peccare né trasgredire i suoi comandi. Compi opere buone in tutti i giorni della tua vita e non metterti per la strada dell'ingiustizia. | و متى استوفت هي ايضا زمان حياتها فادفنها اęɠجانبي | |||||||||||
| 4:6 | And all the days of thy life have God in thy mind: and take heed thou never consent to sin, nor transgress the commandments of the Lord our God. | Denn wenn du dich an die Wahrheit hältst, wirst du bei allem, was du tust, erfolgreich sein. | Se agirai con rettitudine, riusciranno le tue azioni, come quelle di chiunque pratichi la giustizia. | و انت فليكن الله في قلبك جميع ايام حياتك واحذر ان ترضى بالخطيئة وتتعدى وصايا الرب الهنا | |||||||||||
| 4:7 | Give alms out of thy substance, and turn not away thy face from any poor person: for so it shall come to pass that the face of the Lord shall not be turned from thee. | Allen, die gerecht handeln, hilf aus Barmherzigkeit mit dem, was du hast. Sei nicht kleinlich, wenn du Gutes tust. Wende deinen Blick niemals ab, wenn du einen Armen siehst, dann wird auch Gott seinen Blick nicht von dir abwenden. | Dei tuoi beni fà elemosina. Non distogliere mai lo sguardo dal povero, così non si leverà da te lo sguardo di Dio. | تصدق من مالك ولا تحول وجهك عن فقير وحينئذ فوجه الرب لا يحول عنك | |||||||||||
| 4:8 | According to thy ability be merciful. | Hast du viel, so gib reichlich von dem, was du besitzt; hast du wenig, dann zögere nicht, auch mit dem Wenigen Gutes zu tun. | La tua elemosina sia proporzionata ai beni che possiedi: se hai molto, dà molto; se poco, non esitare a dare secondo quel poco. | كن رحيما على قدر طاقتك | |||||||||||
| 4:9 | If thou have much give abundantly: if thou have little, take care even so to bestow willingly a little. | Auf diese Weise wirst du dir einen kostbaren Schatz für die Zeit der Not ansammeln. | Così ti preparerai un bel tesoro per il giorno del bisogno, | ان كان لك كثير فابذل كثيرا وان كان لك قليل فاجتهد ان تبذل القليل عن نفس طيبة | |||||||||||
| 4:10 | For thus thou storest up to thyself a good reward for the day of necessity. | Denn Gutes zu tun rettet vor dem Tod und bewahrt vor dem Weg in die Finsternis. | poiché l'elemosina libera dalla morte e salva dall'andare tra le tenebre. | فانك تدخر لك ثوابا جميلا الى يوم الضرورة | |||||||||||
| 4:11 | For alms deliver from all sin, and from death, and will not suffer the soul to go into darkness. | Wer aus Barmherzigkeit hilft, der bringt dem Höchsten eine Gabe dar, die ihm gefällt. | Per tutti quelli che la compiono, l'elemosina è un dono prezioso davanti all'Altissimo. | لان الصدقة تنجي من كل خطيئة ومن الموت ولا تدع النفس تصير الى الظلمة | |||||||||||
| 4:12 | Alms shall be a great confidence before the most high God, to all them that give it. | Mein Sohn, hüte dich vor jeder Art von Unzucht! Vor allem: nimm eine Frau aus dem Stamm deiner Väter! Nimm keine fremde Frau, die nicht zum Volk deines Vaters gehört; denn wir stammen von Propheten ab. Mein Sohn, denk an Noach, Abraham, Isaak und Jakob, unsere ersten Vorfahren! Sie alle haben Frauen aus ihrem Stamm geheiratet und sind mit Kindern gesegnet worden; ihre Nachkommen werden das Land besitzen. | Guardati, o figlio, da ogni sorta di fornicazione; anzitutto prenditi una moglie dalla stirpe dei tuoi padri e non una donna straniera, che cioè non sia della stirpe di tuo padre, perché noi siamo figli di profeti. Ricordati di Noè, di Abramo, di Isacco e di Giacobbe, nostri padri fin da principio. Essi sposarono tutti una donna della loro parentela e furono benedetti nei loro figli e la loro discendenza avrà in eredità la terra. | ان الصدقة هي رجاء عظيم عند الله العلي لجميع صانعيها | |||||||||||
| 4:13 | Take heed to keep thyself, my son, from all fornication, and beside thy wife never endure to know a crime. | Darum liebe die Brüder aus deinem Stamm, mein Sohn, fühle dich nicht erhaben über deine Verwandten und die Söhne und Töchter deines Volkes und sei nicht zu stolz, dir aus ihrer Mitte eine Frau zu nehmen. Denn Stolz führt ins Verderben und bringt Zerrüttung mit sich. Auch Charakterlosigkeit führt zu Erniedrigung und großer Not; die Charakterlosigkeit ist nämlich die Mutter des Hungers. | Ama, o figlio, i tuoi fratelli; nel tuo cuore non concepire disprezzo per i tuoi fratelli, figli e figlie del tuo popolo, e tra di loro scegliti la moglie. L'orgoglio infatti è causa di rovina e di grande inquietudine. Nella pigrizia vi è povertà e miseria, perché l'ignavia è madre della fame. | احذر لنفسك يا بني من كل زنى ولا تتجاوز امراتك مستبيحا معرفة الاثم ابدا | |||||||||||
| 4:14 | Never suffer pride to reign in thy mind, or in thy words: for from it all perdition took its beginning. | Wenn einer für dich gearbeitet hat, dann enthalt ihm seinen Lohn nicht vor bis zum nächsten Tag, sondern zahl ihn sofort aus! Wenn du Gott auf diese Weise dienst, wird man auch dir deinen Lohn auszahlen. Gib Acht auf dich bei allem, was du tust, mein Sohn, und zeig durch dein Benehmen, dass du gut erzogen bist. | Non rimandare la paga di chi lavora per te, ma a lui consegnala subito; se così avrai servito Dio, ti sarà data la ricompensa. Poni attenzione, o figlio, in quanto fai e sii ben educato in ogni tuo comportamento. | و لا تدع الكبر يستولي على افكارك واقوالك لان الكبر مبدا كل هلاك | |||||||||||
| 4:15 | If any man hath done any work for thee, immediately pay him his hire, and let not the wages of thy hired servant stay with thee at all. | Was dir selbst verhasst ist, das mute auch einem anderen nicht zu! Betrink dich nicht; der Rausch soll nicht dein Begleiter sein. | Non fare a nessuno ciò che non piace a te. Non bere vino fino all'ebbrezza e non avere per compagna del tuo viaggio l'ubriachezza. | و كل من خدمك بشيء فاوفه اجرته لساعته واجرة اجيرك لا تبق عندك ابدا | |||||||||||
| 4:16 | See thou never do to another what thou wouldst hate to have done to thee by another. | Gib dem Hungrigen von deinem Brot und dem Nackten von deinen Kleidern! Wenn du Überfluss hast, dann tu damit Gutes und sei nicht kleinlich, wenn du Gutes tust. | Dà il tuo pane a chi ha fame e fà parte dei tuoi vestiti agli ignudi. Dà in elemosina quanto ti sopravanza e il tuo occhio non guardi con malevolenza, quando fai l'elemosina. | كل ما تكره ان يفعله غيرك بك فاياك ان تفعله انت بغيرك | |||||||||||
| 4:17 | Eat thy bread with the hungry and the needy, and with thy garments cover the naked, | Spende dein Brot beim Begräbnis der Gerechten, gib es nicht den Sündern! | Versa il tuo vino e deponi il tuo pane sulla tomba dei giusti, non darne invece ai peccatori. | كل خبزك مع الجياع والمساكين واكس العراة من ثيابك | |||||||||||
| 4:18 | Lay out thy bread, and thy wine upon the burial of a just man, and do not eat and drink thereof with the wicked. | Such nur bei Verständigen Rat; einen brauchbaren Ratschlag verachte nicht! | Chiedi il parere ad ogni persona che sia saggia e non disprezzare nessun buon consiglio. | ضع خبزك وخمرك على مدفن البار ولا تاكل ولا تشرب منهما مع الخطاة | |||||||||||
| 4:19 | Seek counsel always of a wise man. | Preise Gott, den Herrn, zu jeder Zeit; bitte ihn, dass dein Weg geradeaus führt und dass alles, was du tust und planst, ein gutes Ende nimmt. Denn kein Volk ist Herr seiner Pläne, sondern der Herr selbst gibt alles Gute und er erniedrigt, wen er will, wie es ihm gefällt. Denk also an meine Lehren, mein Sohn! Lass sie dir nie aus dem Herzen reißen! | In ogni circostanza benedici il Signore e domanda che ti sia guida nelle tue vie e che i tuoi sentieri e i tuoi desideri giungano a buon fine, poiché nessun popolo possiede la saggezza, ma è il Signore che elargisce ogni bene. Il Signore esalta o umilia chi vuole fino nella regione sotterranea. Infine, o figlio, conserva nella mente questi comandamenti, non lasciare che si cancellino dal tuo cuore. | التمس مشورة الحكيم دائما | |||||||||||
| 4:20 | Bless God at all times: and desire of him to direct thy ways, and that all thy counsels may abide in him. | Und jetzt will ich dir noch etwas sagen: Ich habe Gabaël, dem Bruder des Gabrija, in der Stadt Rages in Medien zehn Talente Silber zur Aufbewahrung anvertraut. | Ora, figlio, ti faccio sapere che ho depositato dieci talenti d'argento presso Gabael figlio di Gabri, a Rage di Media. | و بارك الله في كل حين واسترشده لتقويم سبلك واقرار كل مشوراتك فيه | |||||||||||
| 4:21 | I tell thee also, my son, that I lent ten talents of silver, while thou wast yet a child, to Gabelus, in Rages a city of the Medes, and I have a note of his hand with me: | Hab also keine Angst, mein Sohn, weil wir verarmt sind. Du hast ein großes Vermögen, wenn du nur Gott fürchtest, alle Sünde meidest und das tust, was ihm gefällt. | Non temere se siamo diventati poveri. Tu avrai una grande ricchezza se avrai il timor di Dio, se rifuggirai da ogni peccato e farai ciò che piace al Signore Dio tuo». | ثم اعلم يا بني اني قد اعطيت وانت صغير عشرة قناطير من الفضة لغابيلوس في راجيس مدينة الماديين ومعي بها صك | |||||||||||
| 4:22 | Now therefore inquire how thou mayst go to him, and receive of him the foresaid sum of money, and restore to him the note of his hand. | و حيث ذلك فانظر كيف تتوصل اليه فتقبض منه الزنة المذكورة من الفضة وترد عليه صكه | |||||||||||||
| 4:23 | Fear not, my son: we lead indeed a poor life, but we shall have many good things if we fear God, and depart from all sin, and do that which is good. | و لا تخف يا ولدي فانا نعيش عيشة الفقراء ولكن سيكون لنا خير كثير اذا اتقينا الله وابتعدنا عن كل خطيئة وفعلنا خيرا |
