2:2	and that the prophet, after giving them the law, instructed those who were being deported not to forget the commandments of the Lord, or to be led astray in their thoughts on seeing the gold and silver statues and their adornment.	Der Prophet habe ferner den Verbannten das Gesetz übergeben und ihnen eingeschärft, die Gebote des Herrn nicht zu vergessen noch im Herzen irre zu werden, wenn sie die goldenen und silbernen Götzen und ihren Prunk sähen.	e che il medesimo profeta ai deportati consegnò la legge raccomandando loro di non dimenticarsi dei comandi del Signore e di non lasciarsi traviare nelle idee, vedendo i simulacri d'oro e d'argento e il fasto di cui erano circondati,	اذ اوصاهم ان لا ينسوا وصايا الرب ولا تغوى قلوبهم اذا راوا تماثيل الذهب والفضة وما عليها من الزينة
2:3	And with other similar words he exhorted them that the law should not depart from their hearts.	Mit manchen Reden solcher Art ermahnte er sie, das Gesetz nicht aus ihrem Herzen schwinden zu lassen.	e che con altre simili espressioni li esortava a non ripudiare la legge nel loro cuore.	و حرضهم بمثل هذا الكلام على ان لا يزيلوا الشريعة من قلوبهم
2:4	It was also in the same document that the prophet, having received an oracle, ordered that the tent and the ark should follow with him, and that he went out to the mountain where Moses had gone up and had seen the inheritance of God.	In dem Buch stand weiter zu lesen, dass der Prophet einen Gottesspruch empfangen habe und daraufhin das Zelt und die Lade hinter sich hertragen ließ. Er sei hinausgegangen zu dem Berg, auf den Mose gestiegen war, um das von Gott verheißene Erbteil zu sehen.	Si diceva anche nello scritto che il profeta, ottenuto un responso, ordinò che lo seguissero con la tenda e l'arca. Quando giunse presso il monte dove Mosè era salito e aveva contemplato l'eredità di Dio,	و جاء في هذه الكتابة ان النبي بمقتضى وحي سار اليه امر ان يذهب معه بالمسكن والتابوت حتى يصل الى الجبل الذي صعد اليه موسى وراى ميراث الله
2:5	Jeremiah came and found a cave-dwelling, and he brought there the tent and the ark and the altar of incense; then he sealed up the entrance.	Dort fand Jeremia eine Höhle wie ein Haus. Er trug das Zelt, die Lade und den Rauchopferaltar hinein; dann verschloss er den Eingang.	Geremia salì e trovò un vano a forma di caverna e là introdusse la tenda, l'arca e l'altare degli incensi e sbarrò l'ingresso.	و لما وصل ارميا وجد كهفا فادخل اليه المسكن والتابوت ومذبح البخور ثم سد الباب
2:6	Some of those who followed him came up intending to mark the way, but could not find it.	Einige von seinen Begleitern gingen hin, um sich den Weg zu markieren; aber sie konnten ihn nicht finden.	Alcuni del suo seguito tornarono poi per segnare la strada, ma non trovarono più il luogo.	فاقبل بعض من كانوا معه ليسموا الطريق فلم يستطيعوا ان يجدوه
2:7	When Jeremiah learned of it, he rebuked them and declared: The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy.	Als Jeremia davon hörte, schalt er sie und sagte: Die Stelle soll unbekannt bleiben, bis Gott sein Volk wieder sammelt und ihm wieder gnädig ist.	Geremia, saputolo, li rimproverò dicendo: Il luogo deve restare ignoto, finché Dio non avrà riunito la totalità del suo popolo e si sarà mostrato propizio.	فلما اعلم بذلك ارميا لامهم وقال ان هذا الموضع سيبقى مجهولا الى ان يجمع الله شمل الشعب ويرحمهم
2:8	Then the Lord will disclose these things, and the glory of the Lord and the cloud will appear, as they were shown in the case of Moses, and as Solomon asked that the place should be specially consecrated.	Dann aber bringt der Herr dies alles wieder ans Licht und die Herrlichkeit des Herrn wird erscheinen und auch die Wolke, genauso wie sie sich in den Tagen des Mose gezeigt hat und in der Zeit, als Salomo betete, dass der Ort hochheilig werden möge.	Allora il Signore mostrerà queste cose e si rivelerà la gloria del Signore e la nube, come appariva sopra Mosè, e come avvenne quando Salomone chiese che il luogo fosse solennemente santificato.	و حينئذ يبرز الرب هذه الاشياء ويبدو مجد الرب والغمام كما ظهر في ايام موسى وحين سال سليمان ان يقدس الموضع تقديسا بهيا
2:9	It was also made clear that being possessed of wisdom Solomon offered sacrifice for the dedication and completion of the temple.	Es wurde ferner erzählt, wie jener Weise bei der Einweihung und bei der Vollendung des Tempels opferte.	Si narrava anche che questi, dotato di sapienza, offrì il sacrificio per la dedicazione e il compimento del tempio.	اذ اشتهر وابدى حكمته بتقديم الذبيحة لتدشين الهيكل وتتميمه
2:10	Just as Moses prayed to the Lord, and fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifices, so also Solomon prayed, and the fire came down and consumed the whole burnt offerings.	So wie Mose zum Herrn gebetet hatte - und dann war Feuer vom Himmel gefallen und hatte die Opferstücke verzehrt -, so betete auch Salomo und das Feuer fiel herab und verzehrte die Brandopfer.	E allo stesso modo che Mosè aveva pregato il Signore ed era sceso il fuoco dal cielo a consumare le vittime immolate, così pregò anche Salomone e il fuoco sceso dal cielo consumò gli olocausti.	فكما دعا موسى الرب فنزلت النار من السماء وافنت الذبيحة كذلك دعا سليمان فنزلت النار من السماء وافنت المحرقات
2:11	And Moses said, They were consumed because the sin offering had not been eaten.	Mose sagte: Weil man das Sündopfer nicht gegessen hat, wurde es verbrannt.	Mosè aveva detto: Poiché non è stata mangiata la vittima offerta per il peccato, essa è stata consumata.	و قال موسى انما افنيت ذبيحة الخطيئة لانها لم تؤكل
2:12	Likewise Solomon also kept the eight days.	Ebenso hat auch Salomo acht Tage lang gefeiert.	Allo stesso modo anche Salomone celebrò gli otto giorni.	و كذلك عيد سليمان للتدشين ثمانية الايام
2:13	The same things are reported in the records and in the memoirs of Nehemiah, and also that he founded a library and collected the books about the kings and prophets, and the writings of David, and letters of kings about votive offerings.	Das gleiche wird auch in den Schriften und in den Erinnerungen Nehemias erzählt; dort steht auch, wie er eine Bücherei anlegte und die Bücher der Könige und der Propheten und die (Lieder) Davids sammelte, auch königliche Urkunden über Weihegaben.	Si descrivevano le stesse cose nei documenti e nelle memorie di Neemia e come egli, fondata una biblioteca, curò la raccolta dei libri dei re, dei profeti e di Davide e le lettere dei re intorno ai doni.	و قد شرح ذلك في السجلات والتذاكر التي لنحميا وكيف انشا مكتبة جمع فيها اخبار الملوك والانبياء وكتابات داود ورسائل الملوك في التقادم
2:14	In the same way Judas also collected all the books that had been lost on account of the war that had come upon us, and they are in our possession.	Genauso hat auch Judas alle Bücher wieder gesammelt, die in dem Krieg, den wir führen mussten, zerstreut worden waren. Sie befinden sich heute bei uns.	Anche Giuda ha raccolto tutti i libri andati dispersi per la guerra che abbiamo avuto, e ora si trovano presso di noi.	و كذلك جمع يهوذا كل ما فقد منا في الحرب التي حدثت لنا وهو عندنا
2:15	So if you have need of them, send people to get them for you.	Sollten euch einige davon fehlen, so lasst sie durch Boten holen!	Se mai ne avete bisogno, mandate persone con l'incarico di portarveli.	فان كانت لكم حاجة بذلك فارسلوا من ياخذه اليكم
2:16	Since, therefore, we are about to celebrate the purification, we write to you. Will you therefore please keep the days?	Wir haben euch geschrieben, weil wir nun die Tempelreinigung begehen wollen. Ihr werdet gut daran tun, diese Tage mitzufeiern.	Vi abbiamo scritto mentre stiamo per celebrare la purificazione; farete ottima cosa se celebrerete anche voi questi giorni.	و اذ قد ازمعنا ان نعيد عيد التطهير كتبنا اليكم وانكم لتحسنون الصنع اذا عيدتم هذه الايام
2:17	It is God who has saved all his people, and has returned the inheritance to all, and the kingship and the priesthood and the consecration,	Gott hat sein ganzes Volk gerettet und allen das Erbe und die Königsherrschaft und das Priestertum und die Heiligung verliehen,	Poiché Dio ha salvato tutto il suo popolo e ha concesso a tutti l'eredità, nonchè il regno, il sacerdozio e la santificazione	و الله الذي خلص جميع شعبه ورد على الجميع الميراث والملك والكهنوت والمقدس
2:18	as he promised through the law. We have hope in God that he will soon have mercy on us and will gather us from everywhere under heaven into his holy place, for he has rescued us from great evils and has purified the place.	wie er es durch das Gesetz verheißen hat. Darum hoffen wir nun, dass Gott bald mit uns Erbarmen hat und uns aus der ganzen Welt an seinen heiligen Ort zusammenführt. Denn er hat uns schon aus großen Gefahren gerettet und hat den heiligen Ort gereinigt.	come ha promesso mediante la legge, noi poniamo in Dio speranza che egli ci usi presto misericordia e voglia presto radunarci, da ogni regione posta sotto il cielo, nel luogo santo; egli infatti ci ha liberati da grandi mali e ha purificato il luogo santo».	كما وعد في الشريعة نرجو منه ان يرحمنا قريبا ويجمعنا مما تحت السماء الى الموضع المقدس
2:19	The story of Judas Maccabeus and his brothers, and the purification of the great temple, and the dedication of the altar,	Die Ereignisse um den Makkabäer Judas und seine Brüder - wie sie den erhabenen Tempel reinigten und den Altar wieder einweihten;	I fatti riguardanti Giuda Maccabeo e i suoi fratelli, la purificazione del grande tempio e la dedicazione dell'altare,	فانه قد انقذنا من شرور عظيمة وطهر الموضع
2:20	and further the wars against Antiochus Epiphanes and his son Eupator,	ferner die Kriege, die sie gegen Antiochus Epiphanes und seinen Sohn Eupator führten;	come anche le guerre contro Antioco Epìfane e il figlio di lui Eupàtore,	ان الحوادث التي وقعت ليهوذا المكابي واخوته وتطهير الهيكل العظيم وتدشين المذبح
2:21	and the appearances that came from heaven to those who fought bravely for Judaism, so that though few in number they seized the whole land and pursued the barbarian hordes,	die himmlischen Erscheinungen, die den ruhmreichen und tapferen Verteidigern des Judentums halfen, sodass es ihnen, obschon sie nur wenige waren, gelang, das ganze Land zurückzuerobern, die Massen der Barbaren zu verjagen,	nonchè le manifestazioni venute dal cielo sopra coloro che si erano battuti con valore per il giudaismo, riuscendo in pochi a impadronirsi di tutta la regione e a scacciare una moltitudine di barbari,	و الحروب التي وقعت مع انطيوكس الشهير وابنه اوباطور
2:22	and regained possession of the temple famous throughout the world, and liberated the city, and re-established the laws that were about to be abolished, while the Lord with great kindness became gracious to them-	auch das auf der ganzen Welt hochberühmte Heiligtum wiederzugewinnen, die Stadt zu befreien, die Gesetze, die abgeschafft werden sollten, wieder in Kraft zu setzen - denn der Herr war ihnen in seiner großen Güte gnädig -,	a riconquistare il tempio famoso in tutto il mondo, a liberare la città e a ristabilire le leggi che stavano per essere soppresse, quando il Signore si rese loro propizio con ogni benevolenza:	و الايات التي ظهرت من السماء في حقل الذين تحمسوا لدين اليهود حتى انهم مع قلتهم تسلطوا على البلاد بجملتها وطردوا جماهير الاعاجم
2:23	all this, which has been set forth by Jason of Cyrene in five volumes, we shall attempt to condense into a single book.	all das hat Jason aus Zyrene in fünf Büchern genau beschrieben. Wir nun wollen versuchen, es hier in einem einzigen Buch kurz zusammenzufassen.	questi fatti narrati da Giasone di Cirene nel corso di cinque libri, ci studieremo di riassumerli in una sola composizione.	و استردوا الهيكل الذي اشتهر ذكره في المسكونة باسرها وحرروا المدينة واحيوا الشرائع التي كادت تضمحل لان الرب عطف عليهم بكثرة مراحمه
2:24	For considering the flood of statistics involved and the difficulty there is for those who wish to enter upon the narratives of history because of the mass of material,	Wir bemerkten nämlich die Flut der Zahlen und wie schwierig es wegen der Menge des Stoffes ist, sich in die geschichtliche Darstellung einzuarbeiten.	Vedendo infatti la massa di numeri e l'effettiva difficoltà per chi desidera di inoltrarsi nelle narrazioni storiche, a causa della vastità della materia,	تلك الامور التي شرحها ياسون القيرواني في خمسة كتب قد اقبلنا نحن على اختصارها في درج واحد
2:25	we have aimed to please those who wish to read, to make it easy for those who are inclined to memorize, and to profit all readers.	So nahmen wir uns vor, die, die gern lesen, zu unterhalten, denen, die mit Eifer auswendig lernen, zu helfen, allen aber, die das Buch auf irgendeine Weise in die Hand bekommen, zu nützen.	ci siamo preoccupati di offrire diletto a coloro che amano leggere, facilità a quanti intendono ritenere nella memoria, utilità a tutti gli eventuali lettori.	و لما راينا تكاثر الحوادث والصعوبة التي تعترض من اراد الخوض في اخبار التاريخ لكثرة المواد
2:26	For us who have undertaken the toil of abbreviating, it is no light matter but calls for sweat and loss of sleep,	Uns ist es allerdings nicht leicht gefallen, in mühseliger Arbeit diesen Auszug anzufertigen; es hat vielmehr Schweiß und durchwachte Nächte gekostet.	Per noi certo, che ci siamo sobbarcati la fatica del sunteggiare, l'impresa non si presenta facile: ci vorranno sudori e veglie,	كان من همنا ان نجعل فيما كتبناه فكاهة للمطالع وسهولة للحافظ وفائدة للجميع
2:27	just as it is not easy for one who prepares a banquet and seeks the benefit of others. Nevertheless, to secure the gratitude of many we will gladly endure the uncomfortable toil,	Wer ein Gastmahl anordnet und den Nutzen anderer sucht, hat es ja auch nicht leicht. Dennoch haben wir die Mühe gern auf uns genommen, um uns viele zu Dank zu verpflichten.	così come non è facile preparare un banchetto e accontentare le esigenze altrui; tuttavia per far cosa gradita a molti ci sarà dolce sopportare la fatica,	فلم يكن تكلفنا لهذا الاختصار امرا سهلا وانما تم بالعرق والسهر
2:28	leaving the responsibility for exact details to the compiler, while devoting our effort to arriving at the outlines of the condensation.	Die Einzelheiten genau zu untersuchen, überließen wir dem Geschichtsschreiber. Wir haben uns nur darum bemüht, einen ordentlichen Auszug anzufertigen.	lasciando all'autore la completa esposizione dei particolari, curandoci invece di procedere secondo gli schemi di un riassunto.	كما ان الذي يعد مادبة ويبتغي بها منفعة الناس لا يكون الامر عليه سهلا غير انا لاجل مرضاة الكثيرين سنتحمل هذا النصب عن طيبة نفس
2:29	For as the master builder of a new house must be concerned with the whole construction, while the one who undertakes its painting and decoration has to consider only what is suitable for its adornment, such in my judgment is the case with us.	Wenn man ein neues Haus baut, muss sich der Architekt um das ganze Gebäude kümmern; Dekorateur und Maler dagegen müssen nur das prüfen, was zur Ausschmückung nötig ist. Ähnlich beurteile ich auch unsere Aufgabe. 2:30	It is the duty of the original historian to occupy the ground, to discuss matters from every side, and to take trouble with details,	Sich daran zu machen, die überlieferten Nachrichten kritisch zu beurteilen und bis ins einzelne genau zu untersuchen, ist Sache des Historikers.	L'entrare in argomento e il passare in rassegna i fatti e l'insinuarsi nei particolari, spetta all'ideatore dell'opera storica;	فانه كما ينبغي لمن يهندس بيتا جديدا ان يهتم بجميع اجزاء البنيان ولمن يباشر الوسم والتصوير ان يتطلب اسباب الزينة هكذا ما نحن فيه على ما ارى
2:31	but the one who recasts the narrative should be allowed to strive for brevity of expression and to forego exhaustive treatment.	Wer aber nur nacherzählen will, darf die Darstellung straffen, auch wenn die genaue Ausarbeitung nach den Regeln der Geschichtsschreibung dabei zu kurz kommt.	curare il sunto della esposizione e tralasciare i complementi della narrazione storica, è riservato a chi fa opera di compendio.	فان التبحر والكلام على كل امر والبحث عن جزء فجزء من شان مصنف التاريخ
2:32	At this point therefore let us begin our narrative, without adding any more to what has already been said; for it would be foolish to lengthen the preface while cutting short the history itself.	Nun aber wollen wir sofort mit unserer Erzählung beginnen; wir haben uns schon allzu lang mit dem Vorwort aufgehalten und es wäre ja unsinnig, vor der Erzählung viele Worte zu machen, die Erzählung selbst aber zu kürzen.	Di qui dunque cominceremo la narrazione, senza nulla aggiungere a ciò che abbiamo detto nella prefazione: sarebbe certo ingenuo abbondare nei preamboli e abbreviare poi la narrazione storica.	و اما الملخص فمرخص له ان يسوق الحديث باختصار مع اهمال التدقيق في المباحث
