15:1	When Nicanor heard that Judas and his troops were in the region of Samaria, he made plans to attack them with complete safety on the day of rest. Nicànore, avendo saputo che gli uomini di Giuda si trovavano nella regione della Samaria, decise di assalirli a colpo sicuro nel giorno del riposo.	و بلغ نكانور ان اصحاب يهوذا في نواحي السامرة فعزم على مفاجاته يوم السبت دون تعرض لخطر الحرب
15:2	When the Jews who were compelled to follow him said, Do not destroy so savagely and barbarously, but show respect for the day that he who sees all things has honored and hallowed above other days,	Aber die Juden, die gezwungen waren, ihn zu begleiten, sagten: Bring sie doch nicht um, als seist du ein wildes Tier oder ein Barbar. Halte den Tag in Ehren, der von dem, der die ganze Welt überblickt, in besonderer Weise mit Heiligkeit ausgezeichnet wurde.	Poiché i Giudei che l'avevano seguito forzatamente gli dicevano: «Assolutamente non devi ucciderli in modo così crudele e barbaro; rendi onore al giorno che è stato gia onorato rivestendolo di santità da colui che tutto vede»,	فقال له اليهود الذين شايعوه اضطرارا لا تاخذ القوم بهذه القسوة والخشونة بل ارع حرمة يوم قد اكرمه وقدسه الرقيب على كل شيء
15:3	the thrice-accursed wretch asked if there were a sovereign in heaven who had commanded the keeping of the sabbath day.	Der dreimal Verfluchte fragte, ob es im Himmel wirklich einen Herrscher gebe, der befohlen habe, den Sabbat zu begehen.	quell'uomo tre volte scellerato chiese se c'era in cielo un Signore che aveva comandato di celebrare il giorno del sabato.	فسال ذلك الفاجر وهل في السماء قدير امر بحفظ يوم السبت
15:4	When they declared, It is the living Lord himself, the Sovereign in heaven, who ordered us to observe the seventh day,	Sie bekannten: Der lebendige Herr selbst, der Herrscher im Himmel, hat angeordnet, den Sabbat zu halten.	Essi risposero: «Vi è il Signore vivente; egli è il sovrano del cielo, che ha comandato di celebrare il settimo giorno».	فقالوا ان في السماء الرب الحي القدير وهو الذي اوصى بحفظ اليوم السابع
15:5	he replied, But I am a sovereign also, on earth, and I command you to take up arms and finish the king's business. Nevertheless, he did not succeed in carrying out his abominable design.	Da erwiderte er: Und ich bin der Herrscher auf der Erde; ich befehle, die Waffen zu ergreifen und zu tun, was das Staatswohl verlangt. Dennoch gelang es ihm nicht, seinen verbrecherischen Plan auszuführen.	L'altro ribattè: «E io sono sovrano sulla terra, che comando di prendere le armi e portare a termine le disposizioni del re». Tuttavia non riuscì a mandare ad effetto il suo crudele intento.	فقال الرجل وانا ايضا قدير في الارض فامر باخذ السلاح وامضاء اوامر الملك ولكنه لم يتمكن من قضاء ماربه الخبيث
15:6	This Nicanor in his utter boastfulness and arrogance had determined to erect a public monument of victory over Judas and his forces.	Nikanor, der in seinem Stolz seinen Kopf hoch trug, hatte beschlossen, öffentlich ein Denkmal seines Sieges über die Männer des Judas zu errichten.	Nicànore, dunque, alzata la testa con tutta la superbia, aveva decretato di erigere un pubblico trofeo per la vittoria sugli uomini di Giuda.	و كان نكانور بما عنده من الزهو والصلف مضمرا ان ينصب تذكارا يشير به الى جميع غلباته على اصحاب يهوذا
15:7	But Maccabeus did not cease to trust with all confidence that he would get help from the Lord.	Der Makkabäer aber hörte nicht auf, sein Vertrauen und all seine Hoffnung auf die Hilfe des Herrn zu setzen.	Il Maccabeo invece era costantemente convinto e pienamente fiducioso di trovare protezione da parte del Signore.	و اما المكابي فلم يزل يثق كل الثقة بان الرب سيؤتيه النصر
15:8	He exhorted his troops not to fear the attack of the Gentiles, but to keep in mind the former times when help had come to them from heaven, and so to look for the victory that the Almighty would give them.	Er ermahnte seine Männer, sich vor den anrückenden Heiden nicht zu fürchten. Sie sollten daran denken, wie der Himmel ihnen in der Vergangenheit geholfen habe; auch jetzt dürften sie vom Allherrscher den Sieg erwarten.	Esortava i suoi uomini a non temere l'attacco dei pagani, ma a tener fissi in mente gli aiuti che in passato erano venuti loro dal Cielo e ad aspettare ora la vittoria che sarebbe stata loro concessa dall'Onnipotente.	فحرض اصحابه ان لا يجزعوا من غارة الامم بل يذكروا النجدات التي طال ما امدوا بها من السماء وينتظروا الظفر والنصرة التي سيؤتونها من عند القدير
15:9	Encouraging them from the law and the prophets, and reminding them also of the struggles they had won, he made them the more eager.	Mit Worten aus dem Gesetz und aus den Propheten flößte er ihnen Mut ein, erinnerte sie auch an die Kämpfe, die sie schon bestanden hatten, und stärkte so ihren Kampfesmut.	Confortandoli così con le parole della legge e dei profeti e ricordando loro le lotte che avevano gia condotte a termine, li rese più coraggiosi.	ثم كلمهم عن الشريعة والانبياء وذكر لهم الوقائع التي باشروها حتى اذكى حماستهم
15:10	When he had aroused their courage, he issued his orders, at the same time pointing out the perfidy of the Gentiles and their violation of oaths.	Nachdem er ihre Begeisterung geweckt hatte, spornte er sie noch weiter an, indem er sie daran erinnerte, wie die Heiden die Verträge nicht gehalten und ihre Schwüre gebrochen hatten.	Avendo così stimolato i loro sentimenti, espose e denunziò la malafede dei pagani e la violazione dei giuramenti.	و بعدما ثبت عزائمهم شرح لهم كيف نقضت الامم عهودها وحنثت بايمانها
15:11	He armed each of them not so much with confidence in shields and spears as with the inspiration of brave words, and he cheered them all by relating a dream, a sort of vision, which was worthy of belief.	So wappnete er jeden von ihnen, nicht mit der Sicherheit, die Schild und Lanze verleihen, sondern mit dem Mut, den rechte Worte entfachen. Auch erzählte er ihnen einen überaus glaubwürdigen Traum, der alle sehr erfreute.	Dopo aver armato ciascuno di loro non tanto con la sicurezza degli scudi e delle lance quanto con il conforto delle egrege parole, li riempì di gioia, narrando loro un sogno degno di fede, anzi una vera visione.	و سلح كلا منهم بتعزية كلامه الصالح اكثر مما سلحهم بالتروس والرماح ثم قص عليهم رؤيا يقينية تجلت له في الحلم فشرح بها صدورهم اجمعين
15:12	What he saw was this: Onias, who had been high priest, a noble and good man, of modest bearing and gentle manner, one who spoke fittingly and had been trained from childhood in all that belongs to excellence, was praying with outstretched hands for the wh	Er hatte folgendes gesehen: Ihm war der frühere Hohepriester Onias erschienen, ein edler und gerechter Mann, bescheiden im Umgang, von gütigem Wesen und besonnen im Reden, von Kindheit an in allem aufs Gute bedacht; dieser breitete seine Hände aus und betete für das ganze jüdische Volk.	La sua visione era questa: Onia, che era stato sommo sacerdote, uomo eccellente, modesto nel portamento, mite nel contegno, dignitoso nel proferir parole, occupato dalla fanciullezza in quanto riguardava la virtù, con le mani protese pregava per tutta la nazione giudaica.	و هذه هي الرؤيا قال رايت اونيا الكاهن الاعظم رجل الخير والصلاح المهيب المنظر الحليم الاخلاق صاحب الاقوال الرائعة المواظب منذ صبائه على جميع ضروب الفضائل باسطا يديه ومصليا لاجل جماعة اليهود باسرها
15:13	Then in the same fashion another appeared, distinguished by his gray hair and dignity, and of marvelous majesty and authority.	In gleicher Haltung erschien dann ein Mann mit grauem Haar, von herrlicher Gestalt; der Glanz einer wunderbaren, überwältigenden Hoheit ging von ihm aus.	Gli era anche apparso un personaggio che si distingueva per la canizie e la dignità ed era rivestito di una maestà meravigliosa e piena di magnificenza.	ثم تراءى لي رجل كريم الشيبة اغر البهاء عليه جلالة عجيبة سامية
15:14	And Onias spoke, saying, This is a man who loves the family of Israel and prays much for the people and the holy city-Jeremiah, the prophet of God.	Onias begann zu reden und sagte: Das ist der Freund seiner Brüder, der viel für das Volk und die heilige Stadt betet, Jeremia, der Prophet Gottes.	Onia disse: «Questi è l'amico dei suoi fratelli, colui che innalza molte preghiere per il popolo e per la città santa, Geremia il profeta di Dio».	فاجاب اونيا وقال هذا محب الاخوة المكثر من الصلوات لاجل الشعب والمدينة المقدسة ارميا نبي الله
15:15	Jeremiah stretched out his right hand and gave to Judas a golden sword, and as he gave it he addressed him thus:	Dann streckte Jeremia die rechte Hand aus und übergab ihm ein goldenes Schwert; dabei sagte er:	E Geremia stendendo la destra consegnò a Giuda una spada d'oro, pronunciando queste parole nel porgerla:	ثم ان ارميا مد يمينه وناول يهوذا سيفا من ذهب وقال
15:16	Take this holy sword, a gift from God, with which you will strike down your adversaries.	Nimm das heilige Schwert, das Gott dir schenkt. Mit ihm wirst du die Feinde schlagen.	«Prendi la spada sacra come dono da parte di Dio; con questa abbatterai i nemici».	خذ هذا السيف المقدس هبة من عند الله به تحطم الاعداء
15:17	Encouraged by the words of Judas, so noble and so effective in arousing valor and awaking courage in the souls of the young, they determined not to carry on a campaign but to attack bravely, and to decide the matter by fighting hand to hand with all cour	Die Worte des Judas gaben ihnen Zuversicht; denn sie waren sehr schön und hatten die Kraft, zur Tapferkeit anzuspornen und die Jugend mit männlichem Mut zu erfüllen. Man beschloss, kein Lager zu beziehen, sondern kühn anzugreifen und mit allem Mut im Kampf Mann gegen Mann die Entscheidung herbeizuführen; denn die Stadt, die Religion und das Heiligtum seien in Gefahr.	Esortati dalle bellissime parole di Giuda, capaci di spingere all'eroismo e di rendere virile anche l'animo dei giovani, decisero di non restare in campo, ma di intervenire coraggiosamente e decidere la sorte attaccando battaglia con tutto il coraggio, perché la città e le cose sante e il tempio erano in pericolo.	فطابت قلوبهم باقوال يهوذا الصالحة التي حركت بقوتها حماستهم واثارت نفوس الشبان وعقدوا عزمهم على ان لا يعسكروا بل يهجموا بشجاعة ويحاربوا بكل بسالة حتى يفصلوا الامر اذ كانت المدينة والاقداس والهيكل في خطر
15:18	Their concern for wives and children, and also for brothers and sisters and relatives, lay upon them less heavily; their greatest and first fear was for the consecrated sanctuary.	Sie fürchteten weniger um Frauen und Kinder, um Brüder und Verwandte als um die Heiligkeit des Tempels.	Minore era il loro timore per le donne e i figli come pure per i fratelli e i parenti, poiché la prima e principale preoccupazione era per il tempio consacrato.	و كان اضطرابهم على النساء والاولاد والاخوة وذوي القرابات ايسر وقعا من خوفهم على الهيكل المقدس الذي كان هو الخوف الاعظم والاول
15:19	And those who had to remain in the city were in no little distress, being anxious over the encounter in the open country.	Die in der Stadt Zurückgebliebenen waren hauptsächlich in Angst wegen des Angriffs draußen auf offenem Feld.	Anche per quelli rimasti in città non era piccola l'angoscia, essendo tutti turbati per l'ansia del combattimento in campo aperto.	و كان الباقون في المدينة في اضطراب شديد من قبل القتال الذي كانوا يتوقعونه في الفضاء
15:20	When all were now looking forward to the coming issue, and the enemy was already close at hand with their army drawn up for battle, the elephants strategically stationed and the cavalry deployed on the flanks,	Alle warteten, dass die Entscheidung falle. Schon hatten die Feinde sich vereinigt und ihr Heer rückte geordnet vor; die Elefanten wurden aufgestellt, wo es am günstigsten war; die Reiterei verteilte sich auf die Flügel.	Mentre tutti erano in attesa della prova imminente e i nemici gia avevano cominciato ad attaccare e l'esercito era in ordine di battaglia e gli elefanti erano piazzati in posizione opportuna e la cavalleria schierata ai lati,	و بينا كان الجميع ينتظرون ما ياول اليه الامر وقد ازدلف العدو واصطف الجيش واقيمت الفيلة في مواضعها وترتبت الفرسان على الجناحين
15:21	Maccabeus, observing the masses that were in front of him and the varied supply of arms and the savagery of the elephants, stretched out his hands toward heaven and called upon the Lord who works wonders; for he knew that it is not by arms, but as the Lor	Der Makkabäer sah, wie die Massen der Feinde dastanden, die verschiedenen Waffengattungen, die zur Wildheit gereizten Tiere. Da erhob er seine Hände zum Himmel und rief zum Herrn, der Wunder vollbringt. Denn er wusste, dass es nicht auf die Waffen ankommt, sondern dass denen der Sieg zufällt, die Gott für würdig erachtet.	il Maccabeo dopo aver osservato le moltitudini presenti e la svariata attrezzatura delle armi e la ferocia delle bestie, alzò le mani al cielo e invocò il Signore che compie prodigi, convinto che non è possibile vincere con le armi, ma che egli concede la vittoria a coloro che ne sono degni, secondo il suo giudizio.	تفرس المكابي في كثرة الجيوش وتوفر الاسلحة المختلفة وضراوة الفيلة فرفع يديه الى السماء ودعا الرب الرقيب صانع المعجزات لعلمه ان ليس الظفر بالسلاح ولكنه بقضائه يؤتي الظفر من يستحقه
15:22	He called upon him in these words: O Lord, you sent your angel in the time of King Hezekiah of Judea, and he killed fully one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of Sennacherib.	Dabei sprach er dieses Gebet: Unser Herrscher, du hast zu Hiskija, dem König von Juda, deinen Engel gesandt und er erschlug im Heer Sanheribs hundertfünfundachtzigtausend Mann.	Invocando il Signore, si esprimeva in questo modo: «Tu, Signore, inviasti il tuo angelo al tempo di Ezechia re della Giudea ed egli fece perire nel campo di Sennàcherib centottantacinquemila uomini.	و صلى قائلا انك يا رب قد ارسلت ملاكك في عهد حزقيا ملك يهوذا فقتل من جند سنحاريب مئة وخمسة وثمانين الفا
15:23	So now, O Sovereign of the heavens, send a good angel to spread terror and trembling before us.	Herrscher im Himmel, sende auch jetzt einen guten Engel vor uns her, damit er Furcht und Schrecken verbreitet.	Anche ora, sovrano del cielo, manda un angelo buono davanti a noi per incutere paura e tremore.	و الان يا ملك السماوات ارسل ملاكا صالحا امامنا يوقع الرعب والرعدة وبعظمة ذراعك
15:24	By the might of your arm may these blasphemers who come against your holy people be struck down. With these words he ended his prayer.	Vor deinem gewaltigen Arm sollen alle erschrecken, die lästernd gegen dein heiliges Volk heranziehen. So sprach er.	Siano atterriti dalla potenza del tuo braccio coloro che bestemmiando sono venuti qui contro il tuo santo tempio». Con queste parole egli terminò.	ليتروع الذين وافوا على شعبك المقدس مجدفين وكان يهوذا يصلي هكذا
15:25	Nicanor and his troops advanced with trumpets and battle songs,	Die Truppen Nikanors rückten mit Trompetengeschmetter und Kampfliedern vor.	Gli uomini di Nicànore avanzavano al suono delle trombe e degli inni di guerra.	و اصحاب نكانور يتقدمون بالابواق والاغاني
15:26	but Judas and his troops met the enemy in battle with invocations to God and prayers.	Die Leute des Judas dagegen griffen die Feinde unter Beten und Flehen an.	Invece gli uomini di Giuda con invocazioni e preghiere si gettarono nella mischia contro i nemici.	فواقعهم اصحاب يهوذا بالدعاء والصلوات
15:27	So, fighting with their hands and praying to God in their hearts, they laid low at least thirty-five thousand, and were greatly gladdened by God's manifestation.	Mit den Händen kämpften sie, im Herzen beteten sie zu Gott. Mindestens fünfunddreißigtausend Mann streckten sie zu Boden, hocherfreut, dass Gott sich so sichtbar offenbarte.	In tal modo combattendo con le mani e pregando Dio con il cuore, travolsero non meno di tretacinquemila uomini, rallegrandosi grandemente per la manifesta presenza di Dio.	و فيما هم يقاتلون بالايدي كانوا يصلون الى الله في قلوبهم فصرعوا خمسة وثلاثين الفا وهم في غاية التهلل بمحضر الله ونصرته
15:28	When the action was over and they were returning with joy, they recognized Nicanor, lying dead, in full armor.	Schon war der Kampf beendet und sie wollten voller Freude aufbrechen, da entdeckten sie Nikanor, der in seiner Rüstung erschlagen dalag.	Terminata la battaglia, mentre facevano ritorno pieni di gioia, riconobbero Nicànore caduto con tutte le sue armi.	و لما فرغوا من الجهاد ورجعوا مبتهجين وجدوا نكانور بسلاحه وقد خر قتيلا
15:29	Then there was shouting and tumult, and they blessed the Sovereign Lord in the language of their ancestors.	Es gab ein großes Geschrei und Getümmel und sie priesen den Herrn in der Sprache ihrer Väter.	Levarono alte grida dandosi all'entusiasmo, mentre benedicevano l'Onnipotente nella lingua paterna.	حينئذ ارتفع الهتاف والزجل وسبحوا الملك العظيم بلسان ابائهم
15:30	Then the man who was ever in body and soul the defender of his people, the man who maintained his youthful goodwill toward his compatriots, ordered them to cut off Nicanor's head and arm and carry them to Jerusalem.	Judas, der immer mit Leib und Seele für seine Mitbürger gestritten hatte, der von Jugend an seinen Landsleuten herzlich zugetan war, gab den Befehl, ihm den Kopf und eine Hand mitsamt dem Arm abzuschlagen und nach Jerusalem zu bringen.	Quindi colui che era stato sempre il primo a combattere per i suoi concittadini con anima e corpo, colui che aveva conservato l'affetto della prima età verso i suoi connazionali, comandò che tagliassero la testa di Nicànore e la sua mano con il braccio e li portassero a Gerusalemme.	ثم ان يهوذا الذي لم يزل في مقدمة اهل وطنه باذلا دونهم جسده ونفسه وراعيا لبني امته المودة التي اثرهم بها منذ حداثته امر بقطع راس نكانور ويده مع كتفه وحملهما الى اورشليم
15:31	When he arrived there and had called his compatriots together and stationed the priests before the altar, he sent for those who were in the citadel.	Sobald er dort angekommen war, rief er seine Landsleute zusammen und befahl den Priestern, sich vor dem Altar aufzustellen; auch schickte er Boten zu der Besatzung der Burg.	Quando vi giunse, chiamò a raccolta tutti i connazionali e i sacerdoti davanti all'altare: sostando in mezzo a loro mandò a chiamare quelli dell'Acra	و لما بلغ الى هناك دعا بني امته والكهنة وقام امام المذبح واستحضر الذين في القلعة
15:32	He showed them the vile Nicanor's head and that profane man's arm, which had been boastfully stretched out against the holy house of the Almighty.	Dann zeigte er den Kopf des Verbrechers Nikanor und die Hand des Lästerers, die dieser prahlend gegen das heilige Haus des Allherrschers ausgestreckt hatte.	e mostrò loro la testa dell'empio Nicànore e la mano che quel bestemmiatore aveva steso contro la sacra dimora dell'Onnipotente pronunciando parole orgogliose.	و اراهم راس نكانور الفاحش ويد ذلك الفاجر التي مدها متجبرا على بيت القدير المقدس
15:33	He cut out the tongue of the ungodly Nicanor and said that he would feed it piecemeal to the birds and would hang up these rewards of his folly opposite the sanctuary.	Die Zunge des ruchlosen Nikanor ließ er herausschneiden, zerstückeln und den Vögeln zum Fraß vorwerfen; den Arm ließ er vor dem Tempel aufhängen als Zeichen des bestraften Wahnsinns.	Tagliata poi la lingua del sacrilego Nicànore, la fece gettare a pezzi agli uccelli e ordinò di appendere davanti al tempio la mercede della sua follia.	ثم قطع لسان نكانور المنافق وامر بان يقطع قطعا ويطرح الى الطيور وتعلق يد ذلك الاحمق تجاه الهيكل
15:34	And they all, looking to heaven, blessed the Lord who had manifested himself, saying, Blessed is he who has kept his own place undefiled!	Alle priesen den Herrn im Himmel, der seine Macht so sichtbar gezeigt hatte, und riefen: Gepriesen sei der, der seinen Ort vor der Entweihung bewahrt hat.	Tutti allora, rivolti verso il cielo, benedissero il Signore glorioso dicendo: «Benedetto colui che ha conservato la sua dimora inviolata».	و كان الجميع يباركون الى السماء الرب الحاضر لنصرتهم قائلين تبارك الذي حفظ موضعه من كل دنس
15:35	Judas hung Nicanor's head from the citadel, a clear and conspicuous sign to everyone of the help of the Lord.	Den Kopf Nikanors hängte Judas an die Burg als ein für alle sichtbares und offenkundiges Zeichen der Hilfe des Herrn.	Fece poi appendere la testa di Nicànore all'Acra alla vista di tutti, perché fosse segno manifesto dell'aiuto di Dio.	و ربط راس نكانور على القلعة ليكون دليلا بينا جليا على نصرة الله
15:36	And they all decreed by public vote never to let this day go unobserved, but to celebrate the thirteenth day of the twelfth month-which is called Adar in the Aramaic language-the day before Mordecai's day.	In einer öffentlichen Abstimmung beschlossen alle einstimmig, diesen Tag nicht ohne Feier vergehen zu lassen, sondern ihm einen besonderen Rang zu verleihen; es ist der dreizehnte Tag des zwölften Monats, der auf aramäisch Adar heißt, der Tag vor dem Mordechai-Tag.	Quindi decretarono unanimemente con voto pubblico di non lasciar passare inosservato quel giorno, ma di commemorarlo il tredici del decimosecondo mese - che in lingua siriaca si chiama Adar - il giorno precedente la festa di Mardocheo.	ثم رسم الجميع بتوقيع عام ان لا يترك ذلك اليوم بدون احتفال
15:37	This, then, is how matters turned out with Nicanor, and from that time the city has been in the possession of the Hebrews. So I will here end my story.	Das waren die Ereignisse, die mit Nikanor zusammenhingen. Seit jener Zeit blieb die Stadt im Besitz der Hebräer. Darum höre ich hier mit der Erzählung auf.	Così andarono le cose riguardo a Nicànore e, poiché da quel tempo la città è rimasta in mano agli Ebrei, anch'io chiudo qui la mia narrazione.	بل يكون عيدا وهو اليوم الثالث عشر من الشهر الثاني عشر الذي يقال له اذار بلسان ارام قبل يوم مردكاي بيوم واحد
15:38	If it is well told and to the point, that is what I myself desired; if it is poorly done and mediocre, that was the best I could do.	Ist sie gut und geschickt erzählt, habe ich mein Ziel erreicht; ist sie aber schlecht oder mittelmäßig - ich habe mein Bestes getan.	Se la disposizione dei fatti è riuscita scritta bene e ben composta, era quello che volevo; se invece è riuscita di poco valore e mediocre, questo solo ho potuto fare.	هذا ما تم من امر نكانور ومنذ تلك الايام عادت المدينة في حوزة العبرانيين وههنا انا ايضا اجعل ختام الكلام
