| 13:1 | This is a copy of the letter: The Great King, Artaxerxes, writes the following to the governors of the hundred twenty-seven provinces from India to Ethiopia and to the officials under them: | من ارتحششتا الاكبر المالك من الهند الى الحبشة على المئة والسبعة والعشرين اقليما الى الرؤساء والقواد الذين في طاعته سلام | |||||||||||||
| 13:2 | Having become ruler of many nations and master of the whole world (not elated with presumption of authority but always acting reasonably and with kindness), I have determined to settle the lives of my subjects in lasting tranquility and, in order to make | اني مع كوني متسلطا على شعوب كثيرين وقد اخضعت المسكونة باسرها تحت يدي لم احب ان اسيء انفاذ مقدرتي العظيمة ولكني حكمت بالرحمة والحلم حتى يقضوا حياتهم بلا خوف وبسكينة ويتمتعوا بالسلام الذي يصبو اليه كل بشر | |||||||||||||
| 13:3 | When I asked my counselors how this might be accomplished, Haman-who excels among us in sound judgment, and is distinguished for his unchanging goodwill and steadfast fidelity, and has attained the second place in the kingdom- | فسالت اصحاب مشورتي كيف يتم ذلك فكان ان واحدا منهم يفوق من سواه في الحكمة والامانة وهو ثنيان الملك اسمه هامان | |||||||||||||
| 13:4 | pointed out to us that among all the nations in the world there is scattered a certain hostile people, who have laws contrary to those of every nation and continually disregard the ordinances of kings, so that the unifying of the kingdom that we honorably | قال لي ان في المسكونة شعبا متشتتا له شرائع جديدة يتصرف بخلاف عادة جميع الامم ويحتقر اوامر الملوك ويفسد نظام جميع الامم بفتنته | |||||||||||||
| 13:5 | We understand that this people, and it alone, stands constantly in opposition to every nation, perversely following a strange manner of life and laws, and is ill-disposed to our government, doing all the harm they can so that our kingdom may not attain st | فلما وقفنا على هذا وراينا ان شعبا واحدا متمرد على الناس طائفة تتبع شرائع فاسدة وتخالف اوامرنا وتقلق سلام واتفاق جميع الاقاليم الخاضعة لنا | |||||||||||||
| 13:6 | Therefore we have decreed that those indicated to you in the letters written by Haman, who is in charge of affairs and is our second father, shall all-wives and children included-be utterly destroyed by the swords of their enemies, without pity or restrai | امرنا ان كل من يشير اليهم هامان المولى على جميع الاقاليم وثنيان الملك الذي نكرمه بمنزلة اب يبادون بايدي اعدائهم هم ونساؤهم واولادهم ولا يرحمهم احد في اليوم الرابع عشر من الشهر الثاني عشر شهر اذار من هذه السنة | |||||||||||||
| 13:7 | so that those who have long been hostile and remain so may in a single day go down in violence to Hades, and leave our government completely secure and untroubled hereafter. | حتى اذا هبط اولئك الناس الخبثاء الى الجحيم في يوم واحد يرد الى مملكتنا السلام الذي اقلقوه | |||||||||||||
| 13:8 | Then Mordecai prayed to the Lord, calling to remembrance all the works of the Lord. | فاما مردكاي فتضرع الى الرب متذكرا جميع اعماله | |||||||||||||
| 13:9 | He said, O Lord, Lord, you rule as King over all things, for the universe is in your power and there is no one who can oppose you when it is your will to save Israel, | و قال اللهم ايها الرب الملك القادر على الكل اذ كل شيء في طاعتك وليس من يقاوم مشيئتك اذا هممت بنجاة اسرائيل | |||||||||||||
| 13:10 | for you have made heaven and earth and every wonderful thing under heaven. | انت صنعت السماء والارض وكل ما تحت السماوات | |||||||||||||
| 13:11 | You are Lord of all, and there is no one who can resist you, the Lord. | انت رب الجميع وليس من يقاوم عزتك | |||||||||||||
| 13:12 | You know all things; you know, O Lord, that it was not in insolence or pride or for any love of glory that I did this, and refused to bow down to this proud Haman; | انك تعرف كل شيء وتعلم اني لا تكبرا ولا احتقارا ولا رغبة في شيء من الكرامة فعلت هذا اني لم اسجد لهامان العاتي | |||||||||||||
| 13:13 | for I would have been willing to kiss the soles of his feet to save Israel! | فاني مستعد ان اقبل حتى اثار قدميه عن طيب نفس لاجل نجاة اسرائيل | |||||||||||||
| 13:14 | But I did this so that I might not set human glory above the glory of God, and I will not bow down to anyone but you, who are my Lord; and I will not do these things in pride. | و لكن خفت ان احول كرامة الهي الى انسان واعبد احدا سوى الهي | |||||||||||||
| 13:15 | And now, O Lord God and King, God of Abraham, spare your people; for the eyes of our foes are upon us to annihilate us, and they desire to destroy the inheritance that has been yours from the beginning. | فالان ايها الرب الملك اله ابراهيم ارحم شعبك لان اعداءنا يطلبون ان يهلكونا ويستاصلوا ميراثك | |||||||||||||
| 13:16 | Do not neglect your portion, which you redeemed for yourself out of the land of Egypt. | لا تهمل نصيبك الذي افتديته لك من مصر | |||||||||||||
| 13:17 | Hear my prayer, and have mercy upon your inheritance; turn our mourning into feasting that we may live and sing praise to your name, O Lord; do not destroy the lips of those who praise you. | و استجب لتضرعي واعطف على نصيبك وميراثك وحول حزننا فرحا لنحيا ونسبح اسمك ايها الرب ولا تسدد افواه المرنمين لك | |||||||||||||
| 13:18 | And all Israel cried out mightily, for their death was before their eyes. | و كذلك جميع اسرائيل بروح واحد وتضرع واحد صرخوا الى الرب من اجل ان الموت اشرف عليهم يقينا |
